I have no way to beat him he always kills me with his overdrive and I got screwed and I can not get Anima because I did not get the freakin knights lance. Yeah any other ways maybe?

Before you even start the fight, it's usually best to raise your stats really high by capturing certain fiends and obtaining stat spheres from the creations unlocked in the monster arena, then activate the spheres. I went into the battle with 40,000 HP.
I've defeated Sin without any stat padding though.

Usually it's best to start with Hastega, and make sure you have armours with confuse-ward. One way is to obviously inflict armour/mental break, and then attack him continuously without healing. Then right before Terra-Graviton, since bahamut has an auto break damage limit ability, switch for yuna, use bahamut, and let him use his OD.

Another method is simply to just heal after every big attack, use double-cast with Lulu, and Holy with Yuna. Try not to let him use Giga-Graviton, but remember armour/mental break.
I didn't have Anima, or any of the celestial weapons.

I usually get everything there is to be gotten. If you want to deal max damage and have max hp gather the monsters.

Kuhn, care to translate that into something MLFY can understand?

MLFY, find a guide for obtaining the Celestial Weapons. They're INCREDIBLY helpful

The Ultimate weapons help - Yuna + Nirvana + Black Magic = Godly.

Limit breaks are helpful, and you just need to beef your characters up as much as possible really, at this stage in the game, you shouldn't be relying on Aeons to do all the hard work for you.

Hehe Maybe I should.
Basically if you fight monsters that are created in the monster arena you gain spheres that allow you to progress through the sphere grid without actually leveling up. this allows you to get immensely powerful without actually doing the hard work of leveling up.
Oh and here is the best guide I have ever found. No maps though.

I could explain but it would take ages. If you have Anima, Sin is pretty easy.

Anima can be gotten anytime by using all Destruction Spheres in the 6 temples being the last
Zanarkand
, assuming you didn't forgot to use Destruction Sphere on Besaid, Macalania otherwise you need to beat Dark Valefor/Shiva.

Or you can always go for Yojimbo if its that hard, even without Zanmato he is powerful.

By all means build your party more by gaining AP as you capture monsters. Omega Ruins are you best bet if you can survive against some enemies.

Have you got Yojimbo?

Because if you do, you could easily take the easy way out and pay him for Zanmoto. D;
But if you don't, you can go around getting celestial weapons, they help alot.
But I'm pretty sure you still have the option to go around and fight so go around and train like mad, if anything you can save time by training 3 main characters.
Try getting Yuna to learn blk magic, better then Lulu's. D;
If you have Black Magic spheres and Lulu has learned -aga spells use the Black Mage spheres to learn them. ;D

Definitely pull out your summons to act as sacrifices in a way. I mean, summon them so they can knock off as much as possible off of Overdrive Sin, and then eventually you will wear Sin out and only a little bit will be left on his HP.

Also, having Break Damage Limit will help out big time. As others have said, Maxxing out you Celestial Weapons will let you cause more damage than 9,999 to enemies, and this is a big help later in the game and when you go to battle in the Monster Arena.

Also, if you can customize some of your equipment to have "Break HP Limit" this will give your characters the ability to have more than 9,999 HP of health. It's hard to come by, but a few side-quests like Chocobo racing and some rare armor will let you attach that to a few characters.

If I recall correctly, Sin has around 140,000HP in this battle, leaving you to defeat him in no more than 5 turns or else he will pull you too close and use his Overdrive which equals an Instant Game Over. This leaves you to take around 28000HP every turn which isn't an easy task. It took me a while to nuke this Boss without the Celestial Weapons, nor with the Magus Sister and neither having Anima (these being the easiest methods to defeat Overdrive Sin). My advice, try to make Tidus (and any of your meele characters) learn Quick Hit, and make sure they take a minimum of 8000 damage, if you can make them take 9999 damage or more, then it is great.

Second, use Hastega, and a lot to get more attacks between turns. Jojimbo is also a nice play in this battle and much more if you can make the idiot pull Zanmato...good luck on that -__-

Remember that Sin counters after being attacked a 6th time, casting zombie, petrify and other status ailments that will usually slow you down. Do not let him get a chance to make you slower because taking 140000 HP in five turns ain't easy.

Third, have Yuna and Lulu as powerful in magic as possible. I defeated this Overdrive Sin with Auron, Tidus and Lulu, and sometimes switched to Yuna to for healing and summoning.

Lastly, if you do not need to heal and can use that oportunity to deal more damage, do it. I usually heal when I am damn sure he will kill me on the next move so if it isn't strictly necessary, do not heal. Just focus on dealing that much damage in those 5 turns.

I forgot all about his powerful counter attacks and how close he gets to you!

Auto-Life. If you can maybe use one of your weaker characters to cast it on a member or more, maybe give it a shot as well. I'm not remembering if you can go into the battle with it already on your characters or not, but that saved my butt in a few tough Monster Arena battles down the stretch when death looked inevitable.

Many people have trouble with this fight, I've noticed.

Preparation: Go and capture monsters from 6 areas to unlock Catastrophe and your reward will be 99 Doors To Tomorrows. Next, every Overdrive Gauge full.

Battle: Start with Lulu, Rikku and Wakka (he can hit Sin from afar right?). Rikku will start, Mix Trio Of 9999 (2 Doors To Tomorrows). Lulu, Fire (or whatever Lvl 1 spell which tickles your fancy) Fury. You should be able to get 8, 9 or 10 rounds here. That's ~89991 HP gone. Wakka, Attack or Auroch Reels if you have it, otherwise just attack. Rikku, swap for Tidus, Hastega, keep up the offensive. When Sin is in range, use everyone's Overdrives, just swap out the non-9999 character for another. Summon if you have to (desperate measures).

Hey thanks guys I will try to beat him with the celestial weapons when I get them and do the monster arena challenges to get the door to tommorow's. Yeah anyway so it is possible to beat this boss without Yojimbo, Anima and Magus sisters. Or maybe ill try to pull Zanmato off if Sin annoys me. Thanks for the big help guys.
