The way she writes her songs directed at people who have dumped her its a bit i dunno....get over it lassie. Dont make the other person out to be a dick just cuz he dumped you. Dont fall in love every 5 minutes and you wont break your heart every 10.

Taylor dates a new boy

They "break up "

She writes a new song about the "break up "

Swift is popular because of her songs.

That's all a lot of girls give a shit about in this day and age. Or have a lot of them always been that way? :brow:

I used to blame soap operas and whatnot, but then I realized that's like blaming a bullet for a pulled trigger :D :D :D.

I appreciate the fact she can write her own music and play an instrument unlike the vast majority of pop singers who have theyre name and photo all over the album yet they wrote nothing. They just look good. But swift.... her songs are just so tacky and snidey though, and shit.

People will eventually start to change theyre opinion of her. I think shes seen as a good role model, at least magazines make it out that way. shes just shooting herself in the foot. Go write about the mountains or something.

I was thinking that. I'm still ignorant of the life and adventures of Taylor Swift, but this thread putting 'has lots of break-ups, moans about her exes', and then followed by 'good role model' on the same page looks a little bit strange. Unless there is another side to it.

If not, then bah. They don't make role models like they used to. :sad2:

She was probably a drama queen in school, and had literally nil amount of time to grow up before she became famous. She's likely to be stuck the way she is until she's in her 30's.

That is what happens to all young pop stars. They don't really snap out of it until their fame dies down and they experience a bit more reality.

I'll wager that the reason why she's considered a good role model is because she popped out of nowhere. I could imagine a lot of people thought "who the fuck is Taylor Swift?" when she landed her first hit. Some may see that as admirable that someone just comes out of nowhere and does what they wanted to do.
Or something like that, I suppose. I honestly don't know too much about her. Not my genre :D

You cant take that awaaaaaaaaaaay from me.

I think all celebrities are more or less bad role models. Instead of the faces plastered in gossip magazines it should be people who have truly accomplished great things in life or done great things for other people. Scientists who discover cures for ilnesses, doctors who travel away without funding to help the sick. They should be celebrated more than the likes of Rhianna, taylor swift and Nicky Minaj etc.

But Alas as humans wer nosey and pretty selfish by nature. Im sure 99% of the youth of this generation would rather read about which celebrity is fucking who and whos on the drugs.
