hey guys,

i just got this game today, i found it for $20.

just curious, about the play time. how many hours will it take to complete.

also i havnt played ffvii, although i do own it. would it be wise to finish ffvii before playing doc or isnt it too important.

Honestly . . . I didnt like FFVII DOC at all. Its a pretty quick game, and although it does add some side story, but playing FFVII through first isnt necessary. I would just say to invest your time into playing FFVII and completely skip it if it was me . . .
 
It wasn't that long of a game really. I spent about 20 hours at most going though it, but even that was probably due to me leaving it online for a while when not around my PS2.

The Chapters comes and go pretty quick. Just make sure your weapons are leveled up and you have a good amount of Ammo for the final battles.
 
I'd finish VII before starting DoC, I don't think it's particularily necessary for the plot of DoC though, but still.....I liek to do things in order. It's just Vincents story really...and it'd probably still confuse you if you played VII anyway, but chances are it might confuse you more if you don't..... xD

Also, as Busta said, 20 hours is about what I racked up aswel, not the longest of games, but it's not too bad
 
The game doesn't take too long to beat, I finished it in 11 hours. I'd suggest you play FFVII first though. You don't HAVE to play it first in order to understand the story of DoC since they are pretty much unrelated. But I'd suggest you play FFVII first because it is a lot better than DoC :monster:
 
Hah, play VII first. Why play a sequel before an original? Sure, VII will take a lot lot longer to complete, but it's a better game then DoC. Plus, you get introduced to Vincent in VII if you find him properly.

I'd play FF7 frst if I was you. You'll get to know some of the characters without any of the spoilers that DoC will offer. When ff7 does reveal things its nothing tat isn't common in FF7DoC.
