Hmm.. I guess this is probably more aimed at the ladies, but hey I'm not discriminating, any contribution welcome! :monster:

So anyway, this thread is about make-up. Are you somebody who would die before leaving the house without the ol' war paint, or do you prefer a more natural look? Also, what are your opinions on make-up? (gentlemen free to comment :monster:)

I used to wear foundation and stuff all the time. -_- It was mainly because I absolutely detested my skin, and I wanted to hide it. I always tried not to make it look plastered on though because I think that looks ridiculous. >_> I don't so much any more though, I guess I'm more comfortable with my skin and I realised that nobody actually cares if I have the odd spot. And those girls on facewash adverts with flawless skin, who scream 'Oh no! A spot! A day before the party! :gasp:' must have extremely shallow friends. <_<

Anyway, nowadays I don't really wear make-up unless I'm having particularly awful skin-day. Although I DO wear eyeliner and occasionally mascara, because if I don't my eyes look tired. -_- Oh and my nails are very rarely unpainted, if that counts.

I think subtle use of certain products can improve a female's beauty, but they shouldn't fall in to the trap of thinking that make up makes them look beautiful. I hate tarts who clart their faces with make up, because they just look like plastic barbies...and it's utterly fake. As for males who wear make up - poofs.

Only in my modeling photos will you ever see me wear a lot of make up. On a typical day out, I'll put on some stuff under my eyes in case I didn't sleep well the night before or just look tired. I wear some blush on my cheeks and some mascara. Every once in awhile I'll wear eyeliner. I don't really like plastering make up on. It makes me feel like my face is being totally smothered, but I do like wearing eye make up as I think it brings out the eyes even more if you give it a soft, colored natural look.

I put very light make-up. I'm actually rather weird about putting them on because I think putting a lot on may damage my skin. I dunno where I got the idea from, but it's always been on the back of my mind. So a lot of times, even going to places like Wal-Mart or the park, I wouldn't bother putting on make-up. But if it's places like the mall and work, then usually yeah, I'll put light lipstick, light foundation, and sometimes eye liner. (I dunno why places should matter, but for some reason it just does. xD)

I'll only wear mascara if I'm attending special occasions (lol to be honest I have a hard time applying them), so that's definitely something rare.

I generally just wear it when Im going out - well the full slap anyway

I do wear lip gloss and mascara if Im just heading into town though. I won't bother if Im just goping to the shop though, I couldn't give a fuck. Oh also when Im hungover (like now) I couldn't care less, I have to go into Ashton soon and I look like SHIT. But I dont care

So like yeah, night out Il NEVER go out without make up on, like everrrrr

I really don't see the attraction of women putting so much make-up on I could paste my walls with it >.>
I can see why some wimminz put make up on just to clean up the facial parts that look a bit messy, but will go away in time, like spots, bags under eyes etc. :monster:

My make-up knowledge is limited tbqh. :wacky:

Personally, I don't care how women look when they go out. This is the same for girls I love. If they want to put on makeup, I don't really mind... I understand where they're coming from, though... Ideally, everyone shouldn't be judged for their appearance, because that's just the way they were made. But, as this is not a perfect world that judges only by how you act, I understand why someone would rely on it.

I myself don't use makeup, but I do use lotions and stuff for my hellish complexion and oily skin. So, yeah, I see why some people feel that need.

I actually don't wear any makeup when I go out. I've only worn makeup when I went to some high-function events like weddings, graduation, etc. And even then I just use a little lipstick, and some eyeliner, and a little eye shadow too. Although when I do put make up on, I use quite a bit of concealer >_<

A truely beautiful girl is one that looks just as good when she wakes up as when she does all day. There are many of them despit myth. I don't like make-up too much on a girl, especially too the extent that they look like they literally have powder for faces. Its a HUGE turn off infact. Suttle differences to make the eye bags dissapear etc is always good though but never really necassary. I like 'em el naturel.

I can't stand make-up, I don't see the point in it. It's probably because I know exactly what my cousins are like, with their spending three hours in the morning just to get ready. I'm not like that at all (including a shower, I take around half an hour to get ready), and it's because I know I don't need to look absolutely perfect before I leave because I know in the past I've looked much worse.

Depends on the kind of man I'm trying to get me. A rough around the edges kind of badass might like a crapload of make-up, but a rich lawyer or business man might prefer something more tasteful. I find that I get the attention of attractive, well-to-do men when I apply a light coat of mascara with an overwhelming pink lipstick. There's something about the pink. Not sure what. I wouldn't dare try the pink lipstick with a dress that has a color that'd clash. You're just asking for a scumbag when you go out looking like that.

Nah, not really. Forget that waste of air. I can think of something better to contribute to this.

The only comment I have regarding make-up is that I'm really happy that I don't need to bother with it. I like waking up and being set to go about business. I couldn't be bothered to apply that stuff.

It's alright for all you young 'uns. I'm pushing 40 and really should wear make up, but as most of my teenage and 20's were spent as a Goth (which is the ultimate high maintenance look) I can no longer be arsed.

Besides which, I've got bloody optic neuritis and can't see properly out of my left eye, so when I do try putting makeup on, I make a complete hash of it.

I am a guy ( :gasp: Inoerite) so my knowledge of make up is limited to say the least. But I've always thought that subtlely is very important, because it seems more natural and looks better, that's not to say that some wimminz can be absolutely gorgeous whilst obviously wearing make up. But I suppose that depends on the person. Some people can pull it off and look great, whilst others look like nasty as slappers.
I think self esteem influences how much make up you put on, I went to school with a girl who covered herself in foundation. There was so much of it that no one would have ever kissed her because they would be scared of choking to death.

As for me, I like to wear mascara and dark green eyeshadow and lipgloss when going for the male model heroin chic look. Always works:monster:

i dont have a problem with girl who wear makeup, but when there just tangoed..(orange from foundation) i tink its disgusting, as well as when they have on way to much of anything... (yes even cloths.. haha joking) umm but i often findmyself wearing mascara for nights out with the lads n shiz..

I only wear conditioner, blusher and my lip balm. People say I dont have to wear make up cause my skin is a nice natural colour, but doing that makes me feel better. Im a bugger with eye make up as I cant apply it to save my life and it makes me feel plain when I dont do my eyes, just look like a plain Jane as my gran calls me.

My mates and other female family members wear make up non-stop and I feel so dull and ugly compared to them. Ive only had 1 partner who almost begged me to wear make up, jazz myself up I believe the wording was. The others dont care what I wear cause they say Im natural beautiful. But in todays society, I think women are pressure to put on the war paint.

I wear a lot of makeup all the time. My face is probably 5 lbs heavier with all the stuff I put on, plus it takes me an extra 20 minutes to get ready in the morning. It took me a while to balance everything out, but I think I've gotten the hang of it over the years. The only time I wear makeup is when I have to work, or when I'm going out. Otherwise I don't bother with it at all.

I'm just gonna say that my makeup procedure in the morning (or whenever I end up putting it on) takes no longer than 2-3 minutes. A tad bit of foundation just to even out some spots (eyes, I never get any sleep so I have dark circles, and in the T-zone). Then some bronzer to add that subtle sun-kissed color back into my face and some brown eye liner (if I'm going out, I'll use a heavier mixture of liquid eye-liner and smudge that).

I never used to wear makeup; however, only until recently starting to wear it more in the last 2 1/2-ish years considering how important it will be for me when it comes to looking polished and professional. I guess you could say it started out as practice and is still such in a way. Before, I just couldn't give a rats ass.

I always wear mascara because my eyelashes are quite small and hard to see. I never wear lipstick or gloss mainly because my lips look good anyway

I get really pissed off at little girls (7-12) who wear make-up. Wtf they're too young! One of them told me this "I wear make-up coz I wanna look older." -_-
11-year-olds tell me that "I wear make-up so that Adam *giggles* would like me. Hehehe." -__-

In small amounts, make-up can be appealing in girls. Like a bit of mascara and something else. It can enhance particular features of the face, but when you see girls with inches of it on, it's just very off-putting. I know quite a few girls who used to hide behind another face like that, and I just think 'why?'
