Im tempted to go after Legend of Legaia on Ebay and Im willing to pay a bit for it. I dont usually pay more then £40 for any sort of game. But Im gutted I got rid of my copy some years ago and it will be palyed. So not a waste of cash.

My ex even got Suikoden 1 & 2 from his work for £30 the pair instead of £50 each!! So bargin there lol.

Whats the most youve ever spent on a rare game???

I bought Final Fantasy VII Dirdge of Cerberus the first day I saw it. In the shop there was only two of them. It was 50 euro's (couldn't find the sign on my keyboard)

I'm not sure how much the rate is between euros and US dollars are but I remember when I wanted some old PS1 games like Xenogears and Dragon Quest VII. I think that the store I went to was selling them for around $20 or more, but unfortunately, I didn't have any money at the time, and now they don't even sell PS1 games anymore.

I don't know the highest price I'd pay for a rare game. I guess it just depends on how good the game is to know if it's worth it or not. But now I'd rather just find the rom and download an emulator. It works great.

I've never bought a "rare" game...unless I got such a good deal that it made me unaware that I purchased one due to the low price.

I have been wanting Earthbound for some time, though. That game's incredibly rare. Not sure what it goes for on Ebay.

A brand-new FFVII. Now that costs a lot, not to mention rare. I got it off from ebay more than a year ago for $127. And I know for a fact that that's the most I've ever spent on a game.

I guess that if I really want something, I'll get it, no matter what.

The most expensive game I bought was Steel Battalion over a month ago. Got it on ebay for £80 brand new with both original game and Line of Contact. Only bought it because I was desperate to buy it as I love mech games and the 40 button controller looked so cool. :D

The massive controller makes that game expensive. I wanted to try it, but I'm not willing to spend over $100 for a single game.

I'd most certainly not be wasting my money on any game which is beyond the typical retail price. Although the PS3 and such like games are more expensive than that of a PS2, I'm sticking only to retail.

Rare shmare. I can live without 'em.

I guess it would depend how badly I wanted to play that game. So far I haven't had much trouble buying older games I want to replay. They've all been pretty cheap. I guess if I wanted to play an old favorite bad enough, I would go as high as $100US for it.

Well, I just got my FFVII PSP on Saturday. It's rare in that there are only 77,777 made and I paid over £200 for it!

The most I've ever paid for a game was $89 and it was FFVIII. It's my third time buying it because I keep ruining the disks and I can't afford to keep buying these games.

=/

That's way too much. When I paid for my brand-new, second copy of FFVIII (which was last year), it was less than $23. You should've checked ebay!

Well, the most I would probably fork out is Aus$40, most of the games you can just download, but down here, you can't find any old PS1 games anyway

Well i don't know if it counts as rare, but i payed 100$ each for the japanese pokemon gold and silver games. From a store that doesn't normally do imports.

I haven't exactly bought a rare game...well, I dunno since I don't know squat about what games are rare and which ones are not, but the most I've ever spent on a game was about $60 on FFXII.

Not sure what is rare and whats common for a game, though I remember paying for last month a FFI off ebay (Old Version) for 25$

No more than 30-50 bucks. Any more cash than that for a game is fucking outrageous, or has to be really good.
