Ok, I've looked and I don't think that anyone has made a thread like this before. If I'm wrong then I apologise.

Basically I'm asking: 'How many times have you completed FFVII?'

I'm on my fourth time now and I'm still madly in love with this game.

So go on then!
 
Uhm... i think i have completed it somewhere around 2 and a 1/2 times. :wacky:

1st time was the best though because everything was so thrilling and a surprise.

2nd time was just more for a completion playthrough..... took a long time.

1/2 time was just cause i was bored and got about almost to the 3rd disc then just stopped playing it for some odd reason.
 
Played through the game around 15-20 times, but only completed the game on a handful of those occasions.
 
Beat it for the 5th time few days ago, though didn't beat Sephiroth yet because i want to level everyone to 99 and master some materias.
 
While I love the game a lot and would love to play it 100x a day I can sadly admit I have only completed it the whole way through once.

My second playthrough took me to the Northern Crater / ending but I didn't go through and beat Sephiroth before I mysteriously forgot I was doing it.

I've played the game a lot, mainly the begining Midgar - Kalm portion of the game.. But only twice have I got towards the end, and only on my first did I complete it.

I'd have played it more often but a) I had other FF's to complete as well and b) I've had other games.

The second playthrough only occured a few years ago and, thinking about it, the reason I might have stopped just before the end might have been because I got myself a PS3. Since then I've had quite a lot of new games which have taken my gaming time.

When I was younger I had so many other FF's to play that I rarely got the time to play FF7 again and again.

But completing it once and enjoying it is all that matters most. I do search youtube for the best bits every now and then, and almost always have the urge to play it again whenever I read anything related to it. Then again, I feel this also with FF6, FF8, FF9, FF4, and FF5.
 
ive no idea, recently not so much, but afew years ago i reckon i played it like 2/3 times in a year, possibly more... although i have to admit, id get to training and id get bored, leave it for a month or so and then think gee, i should relaly finish ffvii, but its beenm ages, may well start a new file...

so ive probably only ever seen the credits about 5 or 6 times out of the millions of times ive made it to disk 3 and never finished it off
 
I have played through the game close to 15 times, maybe 20 at a push. Then again i have only ever taken on the Sephiroth's at the end like 5 times, i normally get to the point where i can take down Ruby and emerald weapons, and then start again as i know once they are dead, i can take down the final Sephiroth's.
 
Last month I finished the game 10th time i believe....
But I rarely fought Sephiroth becuse i know I will finish him off with few attacks...
I have some kind of schedule...I beat ff 7 than ff 8 than ff9, and then ff 10 over and over...
But after so many times of beating those games, when u get to the point when u will know what item is in every treasure chest, u realize that its not very funny having always 10 or 20 lvls more than u originally should have trough the game...
So now Im playing without training cause it makes the game a bit harder without all those sidequests and ultimate weapons....
 
I played through the game countless times, but I only finished it about eight times. I really don't have much patience, even though I love FFVII to death. It's just that when you play it so much, you begin to memorize the script of the game, and well......sometimes I just feel like rushing through.
 
I've played FFVII around 5-7 times (getting to disc two and then cba to continue), I only got to finish it 3 times. I've had the game since I was 11 years old. :pacman:

Can't say I've 'beaten' the game though. I only got to defeat Ruby once and never again after that. Emerald, I've not defeated ever.

That's the same kind of thing I do except I haven't done it 15-20, more like 5-10.

I start the game thinking I'm going to complete it, then I get bored or forget about it and never finish it. Then in like 6 months I'll make another new game and play again until I forget or get bored again.
 
I have played it thousands of times :holyshit:(not joking so don't say I am). I have a save game for every video of the game, uhh I have gotten every materia, beaten every weapon, and beaten the game hundreds of times..... I STILL ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE GAME! There is, to me, no better game in the world... No doubt in my mind, I shall always remember the game and cherish it as the world's greatest!

I have completed it 4 times, all on PS1
I recently downloaded it from the PSN store and have played a little over 67 and 1/2 hours and have got EVERYTHING, also all 8 characters are level 99, I'm going to assume this is completed making it 5, although I haven't actually fought Sephiroth on this save so...
 
I'm right at the end of a third playthrough right now. You guys who have played it 10 times or more... where do you find the time?! Haha.
 
I've probably played it four times and I'm still not tired of it. I'll probably restart again soon just so I can have fun watching Aerith alive in it.
 
I don't really know...i mean playing it from begining to end i would say no more then four to five times perhaps.

I bought the game back in 2000, and i don't think i have played it ever since 2006, so that's a long time without touching it.
 
Four times, I believe. It's hard to be sure. Once on borrowed PS, once on PC, once when I got my PS2, and once more to attempt to get everything. I may have played it a time or two somewhere in between.
 
i think my 5th time(i stopped playing for like....5 years,then made a 3rd,4th,5th lol),kinda tired of playing it to finish it, but that will change in a matter of months lol.
 
Hmmm around 5-10 times, i just can't get enough of it xP. Mainly because of the Materia system...it's really cool to master all of the stuff and all..
FFVIII is another one that i find myself playing a lot.
