How many hours?

including defeating ruby and emerald, getting the golden chocobo and all the corresponding materia: somewhere between 60 and 70 hours.
 
Im on my third file; currently 67 hours.
I've got a gold chocobo, KoTR, all Limits/Ultimate Weapons, etc.

Right now all Im doing is getting Cloud's stats maxed in the Sunken Gelnika, and maxing all materia (a large chunk already done). And also the small factor of defeating both Emerald and Ruby Weapon.
I actually need to get the Final Attack materia but thats just a quick half an hour in the Special Stage of the Battle Arena.

Id say Id complete this game on around 80 hours, 100+ if I choose to max all other characters apart from Cloud.

I also got Finishing Touch at Level 19 on this file. Some sort of personal achievement (maxed limit break, bar Omnislash, under Combat 30).
 
I think I played for about 60 hours. I intend to take more time when I replay it, though. I want to do some proper levelling up now, and explore much more than I used to. I expect to take about 90-100 hours to do that.
 
in cluding maxing all charachters finding all materia and mastering it i am currently 167 ours through the game and still going, i still need to take out ruby and emerald and get knights of the round + mime materia so i have a long way to go.
 
I think I posted somewhere 100 hours, although I'm sure that's wrong ...haha, the longest I remember was around 75 to do everything, although I never DID beat Ruby. I didn't master everything either, although I did a fair few - I was working through them all on another file but that memory card went missing a long time ago. So god knows what that would have been -__- Or it could be kaput. I have 2 or 3 memory cards that just refuse to work now

So yeah, like 75 hours

Mod Edit: Please try to elaborate more in your post please. Use other posts as examples as to why it took so long because of things such as 'levelling' 'materia' etc.

This also goes to everyone else who wishes to post here. Thank you. IT took me long to beat some bosses so i leveled up

The game clock on my game is maxed out at the 99:59:59 mark, but I know I have over 200 hours of gameplay. Most of that is spent on the snowboarding mini game at the golden saucer though. The only thing I need to do is go morph everyone in that plane underwater so I can get at least Vincent's stats up to 255. I haven't played in a while though, but I plan on picking it up again.
 
I think for me it was about 164+ hours including being at level 99 for all my characters, having every limit break including Aeris' before she was killed, all ultimate weapons, defeating Rudy and Emerald Weapon, and getting each Master Materia but I lost track after I had maxed out every materia 3 times so that I had each Master materia on my main party. :/
 
@Motochika - Wow, that took you quite a while

I have Cloud, Tifa and Yuffie at lvl 97, 98 and 93 with almost all materias mastered. Ruby and Emerald Weapon defeated as well, All my Chocobos at Rank S. (5) one of each type)
All Limit Breaks including Aerith one. At time of 78:24 in Norten Cavern.
 
It took me 78:45:56 on my self-proclaimed perfect profile to do everything 100%(minus the levels of the characters).

I have:
all summons, only one mastered of everyone
all magics, only one mastered of each
all commands, 2 mastered mimes, and one of every other one
im missing final attack, but that is an easy get.

i have the gold chocobo, 3 master materia (Emerald victory), all of the weapons and limit breaks.

my characters are below level 90, but are close to it.

so almost 79 hours, wasting no time on pointless things, all major side quests.

i wont count maxing out stats as part of my time because if i did, my total play time would be about 110 hours, maybe more.
 
Still not 100% done with the game, but what constitutes 100% in FFVII? Full materia? All enemies defeated? I've got Emerald WEAPON still to beat, and a few materia's to master, mainly the top-notch summons, but other than that, just maxxing out characters at Level 99 is what I got left to do.

I'm about 70 hours into the game
