Indeed they do, I'd been saving them for a year and officially left the nest (which, btw, was on the 5th floor of an apartment complex, no basements I'm afraid) January this year. Been living in my £550/mo (that's $900 for you Americans) flat since March now.

Ahh my bad, I was under the impression that the last line of my message would drop some of the subtlety from my sarcasm.

If we're going to interpret eachother's messages literally then I should point out that my might is mostly confined to a very small subset of the virtual space, although I am working out and receiving jiujitsu lessons in order to boost my might in the physical space as well.

Well in perfect honesty Glasgow probably isn't winning any form of living standards prizes.

That being said, this particular flat is certainly not among the worst, I was quite lucky that I was able to rent this flat

If you're implying that I was trying to make anybody jealous then you unfortunately misread me, I was merely making the point that my paychecks are indeed large enough to support myself living comfortably in a flat of that standard (including all other bills as well as food etc).

Indeed. Quite often being system administrator on a server can be a bit of a challenge, especially on the previous host before we moved to this server.

On two separate occasions the server would crash and become unbootable because it kept wanting to boot into a broken kernel. Not having physical access meant I had to submit a ticket, all the while having 6 people yelling at me over MSN that the server was down

True, but if there were fewer members of the group I was referring to then the enjoyment the remaining members would get from the contributions would be larger as well, so it kinda works both ways in that regard.

Indeed I do, we have received quite a bit of it at DBTech.
