No matter how many times it happened, Faith was always amazed to see the food magically appear on their plates. Maybe it was because of the fact that Patricia took her to live in the Muggle world instead and kept her away from magic until she was eleven years old. Or perhaps she just loved magic. Whatever the reason, it didn't stop her from tucking into the food that was now piled on the silver platters. Like Rene, she levitated some food on to her own plate that consisted of chicken legs, vegetables, corn on the cobs and other things.
"Wow, you're hungry," observed Carrie, raising an eyebrow.
"I could barely eat this morning," shrugged Faith, still keen to avoid Rene's eyes.
But when he spoke, she couldn't do that anymore. The temptation to shut him up was overwhelming her, but then she wanted to curse him for some reason. It appeared that the very vision she had was fresh in her mind. Putting her wand away too quickly that it caught Carrie's attention once more, she looked at Rene and smiled as convincingly as she could.
"Yeah, it'll be a good year. We'll have to be careful, though. Being prefects could make us targets for the Slytherins, no doubt about it," she added. To be honest, she wasn't very hungry. Having that vision took a lot out of her and made her feel sick. However, she knew that she'd only be starving in the middle of the night. Faith piled on the food even more and ate quietly.
