Highlander the Game officially canceled by Square [12/11]

There can be only none, apparently.

According to IGN, Widescreen’s Highlander The Game, has been canceled by Square Enix.
Announced back in 2007 with Eidos as the original publisher, Highlander was was slated for release in late 2008 for PC,PS3, and Xbox 360.
It’s been so long since we’ve heard anything on this game, we can’t decide whether we’re upset or not.

They are rebooting the franchise. The new movie is called Highlander: The Reckoning
If this movie reaches popularity, then who knows? They might revive the project.

I rather liked the original film, the rest were ass though. I would have liked to play the video game. Then again, the game would have probably have been ass too.
