OK...this is attempt number 2 at an introduction thread, after the forum refused to accept my password and forced me to go through the whole sending of e-mail address to get new password process. Off to a great start, eh? XD

Anyways...hello! The name's Lymle Lemuri Phi (OK, not really, but I'm not about to go using my real name for a forum username, am I? =P) - or Lym for short, if you would prefer, if I see "LLP" I'm going to think "Limited Liability Partnership" - and, obviously, I just joined the forums! Well, I joined about half an hour ago. But this is my first post. XD

A little about me...well, I'm nothing special. Just your average freshly bloomed adult *coughs* (I'm not really 20, I'm 6 with 14 years of experience) who tries to juggle University and at least 10 hours of game/internet time a day, who is in need of some friendly, like-minded people to talk to, on account of not being particularly (read: not at all) sociable in real life. Yup, one of those.

Obviously, my main genre of interest is RPGs, particularly the Star Ocean series - although those of you familiar with the excellent The Last Hope (it WAS excellent! Edge is nowhere near as bad as Emil, the battle system flows wonderfully, the music is done by Motoi Sakuraba, and the PS3 International version will fix the targeting annoyances) will have sussed that out immediately. I'm fond of those obscure, less-loved RPGs as well - Baten Kaitos, Magna Carta II, The Last Remnant, Luminous Arc...things like that.

And, obviously, I've played a Final Fantasy game. Actually, I've played and completed them all excluding the obscure and old Gameboy titles, the ones not released in English, IX (which I couldn't get into...I tried, I really did. But Zidane annoys me, and Kuja creeps me out...), XI (on account of I don't have XboxLive and my laptop is prehistoric) and Dirge of Cerberus (which I just haven't gotten around to yet). My favourite, for anyone interested, is XII of the main series (loved that battle system, and just the whole feel of Ivalice...plus there was the fact that Vayne thought himself both Hamlet and Claudius in a world that belonged to Polonius) and the Tactics series in general. Dissidia was good as well, even if the story was a complete train-wreck and I couldn't help but pit Firion against Cecil because of their voice actors...ahahahaha.

Outside of video-gaming...I do very little. I read a lot of fantasy novels (currently reading the Malazan Book of the Fallen, if anyone is familiar with the series?) and try every now and then to write my own, listen to music (mostly classical) and spend hours on the internet. I'm essentially summed my life up (well, the possibly relevant bits) in a couple of paragraphs. Sad, I know. Ah well.

Anyways, that was probably more than anyone wanted to read...if anyone read it at all. Figured I'd try to make a good impression, first impressions being a one-time thing and whatnot. I've probably either sent people to sleep or driven them off with my babbling. For a passive sociopath, I just don't know when to stop talking. XD

So, I'll conclude by saying that I look forward to getting to know some of you better ^^
...oh, and for anyone concerned: no, I won't end all my sentences with "kay". Unless I'm feeling precocious, of course.

Wow, that was a long introduction! But rather insightful and profound though!

Welcome, Lym! Hopefully we'll get to know each other well here, and have an enjoyable stay. Post lots (it's not a race, I just like saying it.)

Hai Lym and welcome to the forums Kay!
