Have you ever been in a car accident?

I've never been in one myself but I have almost caused one many times.

One time when it was raining, I guess I was driving too fast because my car slid when I tried breaking and I ended up almost sliding into the other side of the road. A car was coming the opposite way and luckily they were able to avoid me.

Another time I was when I was coming home from school. I was up late the night before working on an essay so I was very tired. On the way home I started falling asleep. I nearly ran a red light as another car was crossing by and I was going to run into the side of it. Everyone beeping at me woke me up and I was able to slam the break in time. I then had to put the car in reverse to get out of the middle of the intersection. :P

There have been other times but I don't remember them to well.

I must be really lucky when I drive. :D
 
Yeah my senior year in high school. We had gotten out of school early and I was just getting ready to pull into my drive way. I saw an on-coming car heading towards me so I tried to pull into my driveway before it got to me so I wouldn't have to wait. My driveway sloped down so when I pulled in rather fast I skidded and ran into my basketball hoop which was cemeted into the ground. I knocked the hoop to a 45 degree angle and smashed up $700 worth of damage to the front bumper and headlights.

It was my only accident so far and I'm glad it was one that didn't involve someone else.
 
Well I almost caused one when I crossed the street without looking sideways. I was quite tired, had only a few hours of sleep, and acted like a robot. Though the car avoided me the guy yelled "F*****G MORON!! Don't you have eyes?!"

Also I once had a dream that I was going to die in a car accident, rare though I never cared that much for it, after all it was just a dream.
 
Ive nearly been ran over by drivers when im trying to corss the street many a time :dry:

but otherwise no XD
 
I've been in 2, once with my mom, grandma and brother on my birthday, and the other time with my friends.

Neither was my fault %D
 
I don't know how to drive...and I actually have of car-phobia in me - well when it comes to me driving. I've done test drives, but I really fail so bad. I get frustrated and easily angered when someone tells me not to do this or that, or if I'm doing something wrong, like hitting the breaks too hard. >.<

Anyway, I've almost been on a car accident, yes, but of course I wasn't driving. We ran over a baby coyote and kinda lost control of the car, but we were safe in the end...except for that poor animal. =(
 
Hmmm...I recently had a woman back plum across a grocery store parking lot, into the street, and ram into the driver's side of my car while I was sitting at a stop light. And the damage...unbelievable or not...was over $2000 dollars.
That was...just...could you be any more stupid?

The other day I was at mcdonalds with my bf and a woman backed into us while we were sitting at the drive through.

So...both times I've been in an accident, the car I was in was at a complete stop...o_O
 
I've had a car hit my house. Does that count?! I mean, my next door neighbor plowed into my house from his own driveway. @_@

Well, technically, I wasn't in the house, but it was my property and a car hit it. So, that's a car accident...right? If that doesn't count, no, I have never been in an accident. I am too cautious when I drive, yet speed a lot.
 
What? So did someone drive into your house or not? lol.

My brother accidentally drove his car into the side of our house once. It only knocked a few things over in my room from the bang, but it didn't damage the house. lol.

The only time I was ever close to being in an accident was one time on the interstate:

There was a slow moving vehicle in the passing lane, so we go to pass it on the right, we are up to there passenger door when they start coming OVER back into our lane. Now my day lays on the horn and swerves a bit to the right. We missed a collision by inches.
 
Yep, but I wasn't driving.

I was just a little girl and my mother was pregnant. Not sure what happened, mostly because I dozed off. Just as a note, my mother and I stopped at an ice cream parlor and were taking some home to everyone else. Apparently, Mom dozed off as well as I did and we ended up rammed into a tree. Ice cream all over my dress. >.<
 
Some people are too dumb and lazy to look over their shoulders and they just chance it that no one's in their blind spot. I've come close to a lot of wrecks because people swerve into my lane without looking back.
