Playstation Has anyone played any of the Grandia

still need to get money togther for the Grandia 2. I do however have Grabdia 3 which is great by so far that ive played. I like the story line but it could be better. Battle system was unique to me and a first in all the other games i have playes. So its pretty good and i hope to pick up a copy of Grandia 2 which i have seen at a local game stop.

The battle system in Grandia III is Fantastic!
I loved the Aerial Combos.

The story really needs more "oomph" It's pretty cliche to me.

I still think 1 is the best game in the series.

How far were you when you quit playing?
 
yeah i played I and II and made it reallly far in both of them, like the dumbass that i am i decided it would be a good idea to stop playing them both, and eventually trade them in :dry:
 
1 is the best in the seris, 2 is a waste i don't like it i didn't enjoy playing it.
was boring compared to 1.

in 1 i enjoy everything even down to hunting down the last mana eggs so that you can get feena's lvl 99 spells :p

It's coming tomorrow morning :] so yay. I was up to the point where you fight a bat girl and get Paralyzed by her. Then shortly after that the version I had wouldn't work :\ .

I've also had Grandia I bought for me ^^ I ended up finding it in a charity shop XD .
 
I personally loved 1 the best. I haven't finished 2, but I can already tell that 1 beats 2 by far. The battle system in 2 is pretty good though.

As for Grandia 3...I still have to get my hands on that. I heard that the battle system is really fun. You actually get to cancel enemy attacks or something. I'm intrigued.
 
I've played some of Grandia II and I can say it's worth getting! So far the story has been very interesting and the battle system is not disimilar to the battle system in Final Fantasy. It's well worth trying out!
 
I loveddd Grandia 2. It was a classic, IMO.

Btw, you could cancel attacks in II if you timed your actions right.

As for 3, the graphics were done really well, and the gameplay is very similar to II but with a few new added features. The story line is Cliche but, it's okay none the less. =).

II is by far my favorite though. The characters kept me going and the battle system.
 
I have all three Grandia games and love them :) I really want to get Extreme, but the only time I've seen it, it's been like $40... pfft, I don't want a game I hear isn't that great that badly.

The first and second games are definitely better than the third, IMO.
 
I've only played the 2 first games in the series (the ones not published by Square) and found both of them to be very enjoyable. The battle system in Grandia 2 is quite simply the best battle system in any Japanese roleplaying game I've ever played. Period.
 
I have Grandia III, and I'm at the point before the final battle, but I'm still not strong enough.

I heard that the first two games were better, but I doubt I'll find them...
 
I've played the very first Grandia, but that's it so far. It's pretty enjoyable.
 
I played Grandia on the ps1. It was a great game! I still remember this, despite not playing that game in years.
