Happy Valentine's Day

My appolgies to anyone I may have offended, as you know im not in my usual frame of mind, for circumstances ive already made mention of...

For me valentines day has always just been another day, but another day the retail sector exploits, hense where my bitterness for the day stems from.

Its fantastic to hear some people enjoy valentines day for its core values and the true meaning behind the day, and what better way than to celebrate than that of life, I felt very bad about what I previously wrote after reading Mandi's post , your post brought a tear of joy to my eye, hope you have a great day!
 
I got no-one to celebrate it together with ... never have got and probably won't have as well :( while everyone around me are celebrating it ... pretty depressing but usually I ignore it totally ... But have a good day everyone :)

I have no reason to go happy on Valentine's Day for many situations that I've been facing. In fact, during the past days I've been like a time bomb with the timer running up as it got nearer to this day. Now it is 11:39 am (in my place) and I got up, tired, because last night I came out of job at 1:00 am.

So yeah, everything bad happens to some dudes (like me) on Valentine's day :stare:
Oh and no calls received, which makes my mood even better :brooding:
 
I have honestly always seen Valentine's Day as just another bullshit reason for companies to push cards, candies, and other useless crap down our throats as consumers. I never really got into celebrating it at all, even when I had a girlfriend during the holiday. However, for some reason, I feel different about it this year. I don't see it as anything commercial. I know it is... but that part of it doesn't matter to me. It seems more ethereal to me this year. A celebration of love. It no longer seems to be reason buy cards or flowers but just an excuse to celebrate love and the happiness it brings. Its hard to think of anything more worthy of celebration.
