"Trick-or-Treat, give me something good to eat!" The creepy children chanted as @Dionysos opened his front door. Amidst the chaos, he stared in disbelief at Louis Walsh, Iron Man, Bugs Bunny, and company.

So this year, we are doing our very own Trick-or-Treating - with a twist, of course. There's always a twist. But this is very simple.

Participants will have two options: Trick or Treat.

You can only participate in one or the other. In order to participate, please state whether you're going for Trick or Treat in this thread before you begin!

in the mysterious land of Final Fantasy Forums! Quickly retrieve it before the gnomes do! (Don't worry, they aren't buried too deep).

---For each hat that you retrieve (by quoting and posting in the thread that the hat is located in), you will receive 50 Gil + colored username (3 days) + 5,000 Gil (FFXIV) if you have an account on Lamia.

---Make sure to mention me and uh, maybe stay on topic while you're at it so that Ilyena's evil minions don't go after you with their lollipop stick.

---Section of interests: Final Fantasy, Costa del Sol, Public Headquarters, and ???.

---Find all ten hats before October 31st, and you take home all the loot! (one month colored username) 300 Gil + 50,000 Gil (FFXIV).

TREAT: Similar to the White Elephant game that we play during Christmas event, except in the form of ... 'dare'. The rewards are bigger, so pay attention carefully.

---We have five Treats available. Can you spot the difference? Believe it or not, they are different colors. Must be your eyes playing tricks on you otherwise.

Pick one bag. Each one contains special rewards, far greater than you can possibly imagine. But, you must fulfill the task I have written in stone for you in order to get your prizes. You will have 24 hours to fulfill the task. You snooze, you lose.

But what are the tasks?? Well, why don't you pick one and find out? :)

Yes, anyone can play this. Even if you win the FFXIV Gil, you can freely give it away to a FFXIV player of your choice. ;)

4th bag. From the left? Or from the right? Just making sure as we must handle this with care!
 
This could be fun o: I haven't been here long so I'm not sure what the White Elephant game is though, hmm.

If it's open for anyone to participate, is it okie if I choose the second bag?

Since I haven't been on XIV for a while and would feel unfair going after trick, I will do treat please and go for the 5th bag all the way to the right.
 
Hopefully the treat bags are also in-game rewards, I'll go with the first bag because first is for WINNAHS :monocle:

Phase 1 - Non-Spam Post Galore.
+ Post 5x in the Graphics Reverie, 5x in Rocket Town, 5x in Costa del Sol, and 5x in Final Fantasy section.

Phase 2 - Persuasion Skills.
+ Let's put your persuasion (or bribery) skill to the test. Create a Halloween-related topic in Costa del Sol. Thread must have at least seven replies from different members.
+ Bonus: Create two additional threads (topics of your choice) in Costa. Not the Spam section either. Requirement of 30 replies total (again, must have at least seven replies from different members) between three threads (two topic of choice and Halloween topic).

REWARDS:

-Colored Username (one month)
-1 GP
-50 Gil
-100,000 Gil (FFXIV)
-Bonus Rewards: 1 GP + a free smiley + free username change at any given time

Tip: You won't be using the FFXIV Gil, correct? You know what to do. ;)

+ Purchase any five items in MogShop and gift them to five different members. Must contain a nice warm message. Let's hope you have enough Gil for this!

Phase 2 - Haunted House.
+ Submit a picture of a random house around your neighborhood (or could be your own house). Must have a sign (paper or board) somewhere that says "FFF Halloween Event 2015 - This house is haunted!"
+ Bonus: Include yourself in the picture.

REWARDS:

Phase 1: Your Soul is Mine.
+Change your username into Pumpkin and find a way to turn your username into orange for at least 24 hours. You might have to persuade the mods to gift you a colored username (for a price).

Phase 2: Scream 3.
+ Record yourself quoting the Phone Voice: "You're not going anywhere Sidney. It's time you came to terms with me, and with mother. Maybe you never knew her at all Sidney... maybe you just can't get past the surface of things."
+ Bonus: Evil laugh in the end.

+ Earn 3 trophies on PS4. Trophies and dates will be validated afterwards.
+ Bonus: Earn 5 trophies.

Phase 1: (HQ Grimoires). For crafting your HQ Grimoire book in FFXIV, you must uphold your "deal" to me before I ask for any technical help around here. Security measure, etc.
+ Create a Halloween card. Design must be meaningful - be creative! Inside the card, the words must be written, "Reminder: Reduce bitchiness to Mitsuki by 50% for one technical help she requires from me." (Your idea, remember?) Display it on your desk and take a screenshot.

Phase 2: Happy Halloween, FFF!
+ Record yourself for at least 30 seconds wishing the community a Happy Halloween and repeat the "deal" you promised me - for clarification.
+ Bonus: Make this a video recording. Be nice!

I was going to have you live stream a game and do the Manderville dance in the middle of gaming, but I'm not that cruel.

Okie, sooo. Couple of questions. Can you send anything through the MogShop to people or do I have to accumulate 10k gil and buy the coloured gift boxes?! o.0 Does that have to be done during the checkout? Hopefully the cheaper stuff is good too... Though even then I can't afford to mess it up!

Can't wait to creep around the neighbourhood taking photos of houses though xD

Yes, the only way to gift items to people is through MogShop via your Inventory. The cheapest items can be found under Mooglets Station > Trinkets or Ancient Forest. The items here are only 50 Gil each, so don't give yourself a heart attack trying to figure out a way to come up with 10k Gil. :wacky: You just need to come up with 250 Gil. You earn Gil by posting, creating threads, voting in polls, etc.

For this particular task, I realize that people can donate a couple hundred Gil to you (and there is a general rule and restrictions with Gil Donations) but I will have to place a special restriction of 15 Gil donation per member. =P Just this once, to make things a little fair. So you can ask members to donate Gil for you by making empty promises and all that jazz. Or borrow a loan from the @FFFBank and you can pay back every week on top of 25% interest. :awesome:

Try this magic trick: Go to your Bank and deposit all your funds there. Hit 'Save' then 'Collect Interest'. You can do this every 24 hours and you'll become a little wealthier everyday. Just remember that you have less than 48 hours now.

This will be your biggest challenge yet. Have fun!

With that said, since you did give me a 60 days time card for FFXIV, I do owe you. So I'll donate a tad bit. ;)
 
I helped ya out with another 15, I should have been sneaky and gave ya some right before Mits put your restriction on sorry man.
 
I hope I'm in time but I just got my 3rd trophy and did the social media stuff yesterday! :)

EDIT: Bonus 5 trophies now, as of this edit :). (22:58pm GMT)
