Graveyard battle (open to all)

A quaking ripple flowed through her blood vessels and a feeling akin to a cold sweat took over Mtiette. The world seemingly began to slow down as her system kicked into sixth sense perception. It was a good move. Not one Mtiette would have expected. A large scale attack using small drops of some form of liquid, most likely deadly, would indeed make it hard to avoid...for most.

Point Of Revelations was lowered before Mtiette launched an upward sweep with her spear as if it was a pole axe. The glow from before intensified before a cleaving white scything light shot out from the action. The light illuminated the dull surrounding of the graveyard, splashing shadows in all direction. More importantly, the holy light cleaved through the rain coming down directly over her, its shockwave and its wedged shape diverting the deadly substance to her sides. In the instant that Wave of Parting left the spear head, Mtiette followed in its wake, up high, the glowing in her right hand still present. At around fifteen metres up, Mtiette turned around and let off a Point of Piercing, with a glaring white beam drilling straight down at her opponent.

OOC: I'll let Aurelian have the first attack.

IC: As Maria was looking in on the fight between Mteitte and Mortalia, and saw how powerful the women were, since she knew she was gonna fight the winner. "Yeah, great confidence booster" Maria thought, as Mteitte launched her attack, displaying a power Maria never saw before. "Still, I would like to see how these people fight."

Maria then turned her attention to the Moogle and the Bangaa, the Moogle's fighting style surprised her, as Moogles weren't really designed for physical combat, yet was able to fight with enough stregth to put a kinck on the lizards armor. "For a teddy bear, he sure is powerful." Maria thought.

She then started to notice a young swordsman running over towards the battle. Though he probably wants to know what's going on, Maria payed him no mind, as she believed him to be a minimal threat.

OOC:Thanks for the compliment on my RPC... But I never saw that show.

IC:The power of her attack was somehow avoided but this gave her the advantage. The area around her enemy was now drenched in the lethal liquid. And if she needed she could change the death elixir on the ground to a healing potion. Thus she can rub the dirt on her wounds if needed healing her.

Her enemy had countered her attack. Using her Black Hole spell she quickly moved fast enough out of the way. This was a useful opening maker and made a great follower. She after dodging the attack ended up behind his enemy and was ready.

"Runt!"

She yelled just after she began to breath flames. This was the Abyss Dragon spell. It was useful because if it hit it was a near guaranteed kill. It would continue to burn her until she was dead. This was because the spell burns using magical energy itself as a fuel. Thus as long as the enemy was alive they possessed energies to be burned.

As the swordsman plunged himself into the turmoil of battle, he suddenly had a strange sensation as if he had someone's eyes staring at the back of his neck trying to pierce through his skull in order to unveil the secrecy of his thoughts. Intrigued, the traveler halted his movement and remained standing still. The man shifted his gaze from left to right as a precaution and suddenly sighted a lone warrior.

Perhaps she will tell me what is the source of this madness...

The swordsman pondered as he lowered his blade at the level of his right thigh. In an instant, he realialized what was happening as he noticed other warriors clashing against each other in, what it seemed to be, a battle 'till the last consequences. What have I've gotten myself into? The foreigner debated as he began to grasp the possibility of having to fight his way out of this chaos. Slowly, he began to inhale and exhale calmly, his lips tightly sealed as his dichromatic gaze was fixed on a mysterious woman [the very same warrior who was, coincidentaly, gazing at him as well]. The swordsman's heart beat slowly as he relaxed himself and prepared for the seemingly, unavoidable outcome.

The tip would have hurt like hell. Defintely reduce the use of Shadow's limbs, easy. Cept there was one problem. That was a shadow, not Shadow himself. The blade pierced nothing, as there was nothing to hit. The shadow was technically insubstantial, so the blade would go right through it.

Shadow, on the other hand, was not insubstantial. As about to be shown. Shadow leaped out of the Bangaa's shadow, in other words behind him, and quietly swung his scythe at the Bangaa. As he did so, the shadow clone disappeared, showing yet more proof that it wasn't real. The scythe whistled slightly as it went for the Bangaa's neck. If it hit, the Bangaa would probably either lose his head (literally) or get his spinal cord severed.

In other words, if the scythe hit the Bangaa's neck, the Bangaa probably wouldn't breathe. Like, ever.

OOC: Sorry bout the long delay. Lot's of stuff going on. By the way, there is no real post order atm, as everyone is having their own seperate fight. The only post order is between you and your opponent.

Oh yeah, as this is kinda becoming an all out team melee or whatever, i would like to establish who is on who's team. Whether it be sympathy for one another or a common goal, i want to know who is on whose team.

So, in your next posts, please state which side your on, the intruders on the graveyard (myself basically) or the defenders of the graveyard (Bara).

Only reason i want to establish teams is so people don't go into an all-out melee. Once you finish your opponent, help out someone else on your team.

That may not happen for a while, but that's basically the idea i got.

(OOC: To answer my alliegance, I side with Gun Jack and Tipsy)

Maria turned and looked into the swordsman's eyes as if she was peering down her soul. (Apparently, the man was too) Surely, he was a warrior forged in battle, yet was remarkably young. She also looked at the sword that he was carrying, it was just another longsword....

Maria looked at the man and said, "I know what your thinking, what this battle is about..." Turning to the combatants, she then said, "I figured it is all about bragging rights. To see who would win in a brawl like this." Maria drew her swords out and fused them at the handle. "I suppose you're asking to fight me, are you young knight?" Maria then put herself in her battle stance, with one leg back and one of the swords pointing at the man. She knew that the swordsman would undoubtedly want a fight.

OOC: im obviously on Gun Jack's side. But cant there be a neutral cuz Aurelian doesnt seem to be on either.

The flame roared up towards Mtiette at an alarming speed and only through honed combat experience which spanned milleniums were she able to just dodge the fire. Both wings flapped strongly once, shooting the warrior higher into the air before diving quickly, slaloming while she was at it. At this speed, any attacks that did not track would have a hard time in hitting her. Her right fingertips began glowing before pointing them at Mortalia. Five thin bright beams shot straight at the women, but hitting her wa not the intention, splattering around the ground around her, it created a fine cloud of white dust around her target before a second later, the speeding Heliant broke into the cloud, creating a rip in the dust with her entrance. Her spear came whipping overhead in a arching sweep directed at Mortalia's head.

(OOC: Sorry about the delay, I just got back from a little vacation.)

Sevan saw the blade extend into the Moogle's right arm. However, when he tried applying more force, he felt himself lean forward and begin to fall as the blade passed through the arm as if it were air. In a small fizzle, the Moogle disappeared into the shadows, leaving Sevan with a quizzical look.

What magic is this?

Sevan's senses tingled as he felt a presence leap out from the ground behind him. Sevan tried turning to see behind him as he continued falling forward towards the moist graveyard soil until he felt the pangs of a heavy blow to his neck just below his helmet. Thankfully for Sevan, his added force when attacking the shadow put him forward enough to be out of the realm of a mortal blow, but the deep gash across the back of his neck stung.

Sevan winced in pain, cringing as he tumbled to the ground with a heavy thud. He landed on his left elbow, and tried maneuvering himself to face his true attacker. Realizing his Ordynka-Khegart was now useless with him prone, Sevan reached for his short sword's hilt with his right hand. With a frustrated shout meant to scare the Moogle, he wildly swung it in a semi-circle to force the attacker back. Hopefully, thought Sevan, that would buy him enough time to get back up and fight.

Mortalia quickly phased out of it. Using her magic for quick travel she was out of danger. She ended up right behind the target. This was done at a speed so fast that she could not be followed. She was far enough away to gain 6 seconds of time.

When doing this she simultanouesly used her spell to increase her physical strength. This took a few seconds. Because she was in a graveyard her spells took little to no strength to perform. And so with all this death around her she used it to fuel her magic.

She began to glow a bright purple when the spell was done.

"You idiot do you not listen to you target? Huh brat do you?"

She asked. There was so much power running through her that a punch to the air could create a lethal shock wave if it hit a normal person. And yet still with all the dead bodies her magic supply was yet still increasing.

"Wrong time and wrong place... You have lost... And I won't let you survive either... Pray... As I spit on your hope! As I spit on your effort! As I spit on your power!"

She said. Anyone who knew better would know what was happening next. She then looked at Sevan.

"Let me spit on your hope... Aswell!" She said. She then cast the same strength spell she was using on him. But this was at 1/4 its power. Even then he would know. There was a reason to be scared. A reason to never look her in the eye... A reason to avoid or serve her existance.

Shadow was a bit upset. It didn't show, but he was. That blow had missed a vital point. And it was so close too. Oh well. Shadow watched the bangaa fall, then flip around to fight Shadow prone. The bangaa drew his shortsword, showing intelligence that Shadow wouldn't have thought of. Still, it was kinda hard to keep back a moogle with a scythe, power of shadows, and knowing how to use both.

The bangaa roared a shout and swung his blade in a semi-circle. Shadow would block it and then slashed his scythe down. Shadow would then instantly brought the scythe back and jumped back away from the downed bangaa. Shadows began to form around his scythe. Shadow jumped high, speaking once more with his strange deep voice. "Umbra..Orb" The orb grew slightly, then Shadow cast it down towards the area where the bangaa was lying. Thankfully, the blast wouldn't catch the other fighters around the area.

OOC: Erm, yeah, Julius can be neutral. It kinda screws up what will happen after one of the fights has finished, though.

OOC: uh... Mehaha, "right behind" and so far away to gain 6 seconds is pretty contradictory. 6 seconds in a fight is extremely long you know? Pl

The sudden disappearance was slightly surprising, but not unexpected. After all, Mtiette has acknowledged her foes strength. Straightening up, she turned 180 degrees to face Mortalia, who was a fair distance away. It wasn't a distance that Mtiette liked to fight at, so instead of charging after her, Mtiette settled her heart and got ready to counter. Mortalia, by this time, appeared to be charging some power. Her own energy reverberated with it, and Mtiette clearly saw its source, the dead. True to her worry, they were in a graveyard, which gave her an advantage, but what Mortalia didnt know was that Mtiette wasn't at such a large disadvantage. Running through her energy channels, her body throbbed as the energy floodgate from Systicarna began opening. It was still too slow though

Samus! Its me, Mtiette. Hurry up and open the flood gate faster. More faster than usual. I need every bit of energy here. Her internal communication with the gate keeper in Systicarna shot up into the sky and Samus reacted with a jolt. Holy crap! Mtiette! What the hell? What are you doing there? How are ya... Cut the crap. Open it up faster or i wont be going back up. Id be gaining my white wings before you if you dont. At that very line, Samus gulped as he realised the seriousness of the situation. Almost immediately, the energy surge increased. It was still a bit low for now, but the longer the fight draws out, the better position she would be in. Already, the last two attacks were replenished and fatigue was subsiding.

OOC:Sorry I think faster than I type and I think pretty fast... So it happens but hopefully not again.

IC:Mortalia wasn't going to be nice to her enemy. She flashed in front of her target. Close enough for her to be hit with a knuckle if it hit but far enough so that normal dodging meant still being hit by a fast shock wave. Mortalia was going to kill this girl and have the end of it. If anything she would continue on to kill everyone in the graveyard not on her side.

During her punch Mortalia had a trick up her sleeve. She was also performing forbidden transmute. This case it was being used to turn the ground under the two into a set of spikes. The spikes fanned out away from the two at first until it went over them in which in curved downward like fish hooks.

(OOC: Mehaha, I'm assuming the spell you cast on Sevan is a buff.)

Sevan's desperate lunge at his opponent failed, merely being blocked by the Moogle's magical scythe. A small cloud of shadow seemed to repel his ordinary sword, causing Sevan to falter with desperation. With his arms crossed over himself, Sevan's breathing grew erratic as the Moogle raised his scythe over his head. With a downward swipe, Sevan felt the blade enter his left lateral aspect of his neck.

Shit-

Sevan felt a pool of blood flow from the upper shoulder. With a stagnant cough, Sevan tasted blood as it begin to seep from his mouth. His body convulsed from the deep wound. Sevan felt the pain wedge itself into his brain, scrambling his thoughts with brilliant flashes of color.

The Moogle, removing his scythe, took a step back and raised it over his head. A cluster of shadows seemed to be pulled through osmosis and clung to the scythe. The Moogle's face slackened, his voice bellowing:

"Umbra...Orb..."

Sevan tried moving, but his efforts were compromised by the debilitating wound. Each attempted motion met with pain and anguish. Eventually, Sevan felt his body go rigid, his breathing becoming flustered and sporadic, and his eyes begin to droop. As the Moogle launched his attack, Sevan heard from over to his right:

"Let me spit on your hope... As well!"

The same deep purple magic that Mortalia used so often seemed to seep out of the ground and encase Sevan. A brilliant purple light and strange symbols followed in its wake.

Wha-?

Sevan felt his body begin to tremble violently as the magic flew into him. His eyes went wide with terror as visions of spirits and death clouded his mind. He let out a startled gasp at the sensations his body was experiencing. He felt his shoulder stop bleeding, and his severed muscles seemed to reform themselves. His entire body filled with the energy, giving Sevan a feeling of invincibility.

Sevan felt his initial terror be replaced by something much more pleasurable: the thrill of unbridled power.

Sevan's body seemed to levitate itself to his feet again, his body lurching as the purple light and smoke swirled around him. His Ordynka-Khegart magically flew to his left hand, which he grasped tightly. With his newly given power, he found that he could easily wield it with one hand. Sevan felt his eyes open wide as he looked forward at his opponent. Over his green, serpentine eyes was a mass of purple magic. His breathing seemed to steady.

The Moogle launched his attack, and the orb hit Sevan head on. After the initial poof, a large mist of darkness expanded in all directions around him. Sevan thought for a moment that he should have felt some pain, but the magic that intoxicated him said otherwise. This darkness almost completely blocked Sevan's optical senses. However, with his other heightened senses and the use of this new dark magic, it wouldn't be a problem for him. With a jerking twitch, Sevan smiled.

"Come out and play, little Moogle. I have something to show you."

"The hell?" Shadow mtutered as he hit the ground. Somehow, the guy had taken the orb head on, and wasn't even fazed. That weird Queen of Death's spell just pumped that bangaa up massively. Shadow was a powerful warrior, and he could easily handle his own against other warriors. However, what he was fighting here was a warrior strengthened by another. In other words, 2 on 1. Which meant Shadow would be in trouble.

Shadow muttered a few curses in the moogle language (something involving what the bangaa and the queen of death was made of, and not a single word should be used at a meal) and brought his scythe around into a defensive position. He racked his brain for a spell that would help. He quickly gauged the odds here.

The bangaa wielded a massive blade, and was empowered by another warrior's magic. Apparently, the bangaa also had dark magic. Shadow had his scythe, his sword, and his manipulation of shadows. Shadow would consider it even odds, but the bangaa was fully healed from the recent attacks Shadow had lost, and Shadow was a bit drained from his Umbra Orb. He hadn't expected him to live through it. Shadow considered using his shadow form, then decided against it. He would save it as a surprise.

Shadow called out to the angelic human that had sided with him before. "Winged girl! If you can help me, now would be the time to do so!" That said, Shadow suddenly lunged forward, swinging his scythe in an uppercut. He was hoping the sudden atttack would catch the opponent off guard. Slowed by the drain he might be, but he guess he would probably still be ok. If the fight lasted too long, then he would be forced to bring out his shadow form and wipe them all out.

OOC: and that is god modding. What you typed meant that regardless of what i do, i take damage. ill take it for now, but dont do it again.

The knuckles jumped right at Mtiette's face and only a timely jump backwards did she just dodge the fist. However, a shock wave rippled through the air and into her chest, sending her skidding further back. Her armour took the brunt of the attack, but pain was welling up in her chest. With a deep breath, the pain centralized into one point before Mtiette cut off the sense of pain to that area. All that she felt was a slight throb. Usually, her energy would deal with the injury, but with her powers depleted to this point, she would prefer to reserve it for attacking. "Winged girl! If you can help me, now would be the time to do so!" The moogle seemed to need help. If he falls, then it would be two against one and that would be extremely disadvantageous. Guess i'd have to call them out then.... Call Forth...Four Dragons! The giant guan dao flew out from the nether portals and straight into Mtiette's right hand. Hand on the end, the giant pole weapon continued to extend at a exponential rate straight towards the Bangaa. Optimally, she hoped it will cut straight into him, but that was most unlikely. At most, at least it will throw him off balance. After all, who would expect a inanimate weapon to extend? With her spear, Mtiette began drawing energy into the spear point and a ghostly glow began to encase above the spear before solidifying into a sheen of opaque casing.

Sevan saw the Moogle look on in disbelief as his attack wasted away to nothing. After the initial blast, Sevan felt a bit of Mortalia's magic disappear, the brilliant purple light that emanated from him getting a bit dimmer. Still, it didn't seem to subdue Sevan's heightened state.

The Moogle adjusted his scythe, and looked at Sevan as he contemplated his next move.

That's right; what are you going to do now?

The Moogle turned away from Sevan, calling out to Mortalia's opponent.

"Winged girl! If you can help me, now would be the time to do so!"

Sevan shifted his eyes towards the angelic figure, waiting for a response. A smile crept across his face at his opponent's plea.

I see how it is...I suppose it's fair, although I didn't ask for help.

The angelic figure, ushering a celestial force the likes of which Sevan had yet witnessed, focused a brilliant light into her right hand. Gently touching her weapon, the light vanished into the pole. With a loud whoosh, the pole expanded towards Sevan at an alarming speed. Sevan squinted in anger.

Damn it. I don't think I can stop that.

Mortalia's magic seemed to grab hold of him. Another loss of strength followed, but this loss was far more taxiing than the first. The light dimmed considerably, and Sevan felt more like he was drunk than high on death energy. The used magic channeled itself into Sevan's short sword, the sword glowing a deep purple. Thinking quickly, he threw it at the oncoming pole tip. With a loud crackle, the magic dispelled itself onto the pole. Sevan's sword fell haphazardly back to the ground where it landed on its tip in the graveyard soil.

Sevan was almost completely focused on the attack, but not enough to forget his true opponent. Expecting a sneak attack, Sevan shifted himself into his stance as the Moogle charged forward with his scythe positioned low against the ground. Sevan could only guess that it would be a low swing or an uppercut. Prepared for both, Sevan lowered his blade, stopping the initial uppercut with the tip of his Ordynka-Khegart. The two blades clanked loudly, a small spark created from the friction. Each warrior refused to falter, their bodies locked down in a grit-lock.

The Moogle may have had speed and magic, but when it came to brute strength, there was no contest. Sevan stared deeply into his opponent's eyes. He saw a kindred spirit at heart...

...but he started it...

Still slightly intoxicated from Mortalia's magic, Sevan felt his pride bolster to new heights. With another grin, he exclaimed:

"Now, to show you my family's fighting style!"

Sevan, using the momentum from the Moogle's attack, some of Motalia's death magic, and his own strength, aimed to twirl the blade around and hit the Moogle with the counter-balance end of his Ordynka-Khegart. If successful, he hoped that the Moogle would fall back a little, putting him within optimal range for his weapon to take the counter-attack on the offensive.

OOC:I meant to say slightly... My bad... Feel free to point any mistakes I make out. Like I said I type slower than I think. But still I think too fast for my finger to keep up. Thanks though.

IC:Watching her comrade block the weapon she looked onward.

"I see magic affects people differently. To think I wasted that spell on a lizard."

She flashed in front of the weapon. With a one handed slap she hit the thing. Immediately it began to vibrate like a tuning fork. In a mere second she destroyed the weapon.

"You won't let the kids fight their own fight? Well neither will I. I only helped him because the lizard is a rookie and in no way on par with that rat in my opinion."

She would call in the cavalry. She flashed quite a bit away again as well. She then performed her shikigami spell. Using all the dead bodies clothing as a medium and combining it with her shadow alchemy she again used the corpses of the graveyard.

"You couldn't leave it as a two on two?"

She said. She then used the shikigami to envelop the bodies animating them. They began to pop up out of the ground. All were really slow moving but disease ridden and maggot infested as well.

"A graveyard of all places... My magic costs practically nothing here... A two on two just became a two on 500 plus battle"

If one were to look from the sky they would see an army of corpses. So many that she could walk out and come back without being noticed.

"Hmm... Now I spit on you... Pathetic little worms... Hilarious little pathetic worms. Even that little snake tongued lizard! Lizard if you don't win your fight I'll kill you myself"

As the bodies came walking by she tapped the head of a few of them perform yet another shadow alchemy.

OOC: I think it is my fault for not being clear, but right now, my character holds two magical weapon, a guan dao (eastern version of a glaive) and my spear. The Guan dao extended while the spear is still in her left hand. THe glow is for the spear.

She flashed in front of the weapon. With a one handed slap she hit the thing. Immediately it began to vibrate like a tuning fork. In a mere second she destroyed the weapon.
Which weapon are you talking about? The one i summoned out? If that is the case, i would have to tell you to edit your post as you cant dictate what happens to my weapon (which is another type of god modding). If not, ignore this. As this is critical, i will not post a response until this is answered.

OOC: Could someone do me a favor and make a disscussion thread for this? I think it'll help things here progress more smoothly. TY in advance!

IC: "Damn" Shadow muttered as his scythe got blocked. He was hoping that the angel's attack would distract the bangaa, but apparently not. The bangaa spouted something about the way his family fights, then suddenly Shadow found himself blocking the blow with his left arm, having his left arm break, and then flying to the side. Luckily he was out of range of the Bangaa's sword at that distance, but his broken arm would be useless to wield his scythe.

Shadow considered the wound, then sighed. He put away his scythe and drew his Jet blade. He then watched as the necromancer queen of death used a spell to raise the dead. "You aren't the only one who can raise dead, witch!" Shadow roared, and he felt his magical power gather around him. There were still an equal number of skeletons, some archers, some fighters. He would summon them both, draining all of his magical power. "Come forth, warriors of old, and wipe out my foe's cheat of death!" Shadow called, and the skeletons rose out of the ground to fight for him as well. Shadow had no magical power left, but he didn't use his magic for much anyways besides summoning the undead.

The skeletons rushed forwards and began to engage the opposing zombies. Soon, an all out war broke out between the groups. Meanwhile, Shadow turned back to his opponent. "Shadow.....Strike!" Shadow would call, and soon 7 beams came from his blade and rushed at his opponent. He would have virtually no stamina left other then basic attacks after this, but it would hopefully be enough. If worse came to worse, then Shadow would use his shadow form.

He was also hoping the angelic human also had a plan. He didn't need to know about it though, as he would just do his thing and adjust accordingly. Off to the side of the graveyard, two other warriors were battling. Shadow didn't know who they were, but as they weren't participating in this fight, he couldn't really care. Shadow brought his blade up in a defensive position, his left arm hanging uselessly at the side.

OOC:Weapons are fair game. Yes it was the Guan Dao. An example would be "The sword cam down and she defended against it with her bracer" over "The blade came down and she hoped she defended against it with her brace". The only reason a weapon wouldn't be fair game is if I couldn't logically attack it. Because allowing someone to decide whether their weapons get broken ETC is a broken ability. Thus in the template they encourage you not to make them indestructable... This makes you more likely to do something to protect the weapon. The only reason though I can break your weapon without GM is basically only because I combined my high speed travel spell with my new super strength.
