How can people enjoy this

Ive been out in the garden half the day pulling up weeds, Im only half way through as well, and they are only gunna grow back, garden maintenance is a nightmare, id rather it was all concreted over, front and back

AND I keep annoying the bumble bees, Im gunna get stung eventually, not to mention all the other creepy crawlies lurking about in there, and all the prickles that keep prickling me

Also, I dont see how old biddies do this, its killing me, im not fit enough in the slightest

I hate it more than ironing

my parents are well into their gardening. they've got a massive garden, so my dad grows a lot of his own vegetables - carrots, taties, tomatoes, cucumbers and all that. then there's a whole massive flowery and planty bit too. i've never seen the attraction in putting so much time, money and effort into it all, but i can see why it would feel rewarding come august and you've got a fully flowered garden to sit out in the sun in.

Urgh, i was gunna do abit more today, but i can barely walk from overworkingmyself yesterday, my back and thighs are fucking killing me and Im cut to ribbons from all the brambles, it was like maleficent had done a job on the garden. I suppose if we actually kept on top of it, it wouldnt get that bad, but i haaaaaate it. My mums not a fan either, she flattened all hers and put gravel down in the front and back with decking and shit, even that lookslike effort though becuase it needs cleaning and repainting and shit

Gardening is something that I have trouble getting started. I'll know that I have to water the plants, weed, or whatever, but I'll put if off because I don't feel like doing any of it. Once I get started, I'll enjoy it and even get a little obsessive.

I love yard-work and gardening. Unfortunately I don't have the pleasure to do that since I live in an apartment, but whenever outdoor work is present (for example, re-landscaping my dad's yard) I'm there. I always did outdoor work when I was younger so it's become almost like a hobby. Pulling out weeds doesn't bother me, let's kill those bastards.

my weeds are all growing back ): Im like half way through sorting the garden, but now I need muscle, and I have none, so Ive roped a friend in to help me the weekend though, hes like 7ft tall (not exagerating either) so Il get him to do all the manual labour. Might actually have a proper garden by the end of the week! Need to lay some turf down once its all levelled though...... it's such a mamouth task and then keeping on top of it is just a mundane one, ive never liked gardening ):

I think people do it because it IS hard work but it is also very rewarding.
Probably because people take pride in knowing that they made something beautiful/yummy with their hard work.
Also, rumor has it that food tastes better when you have grown it yourself

part of my motivation is so I can get a hen and a duck haha, and Ive also said i want to try to grow my own tatties and stuff. trouble is, i like the idea of this growing things malarky, but ive not got green fingers in the slightest!

I've never been an outdoorsy person so gardening has never really been my thing.

We don't really have a garden as such though. It's pretty much just all grass out the front and back and we just mow and whipper snip it every now and then. Even having to do that's a bitch. >.<

I'm moving back to the parents in a few weeks though. They live in a rural suburb and have an acre but we won't have to do any more mowing for a while because that's what my younger brother does for pocket money.

I spent one whole day gardening with my.... (He's not even my grandpa, he's just some dude that's dating my grandma).... Anyway, I spent the whole day with him, doing all that bullshit in the yard. I can say that I never want to do that again. Super boring and I got dirt in my eye! I was rolling on the floor like I had got shot with a dart. Very boring day. After we had finally finished, I had just enough time to shower and make it back to my room for MSG classics. I think he offered for me to help him again the next week and I was like...... No. XD
