K, I play several games at a time. Its the way I am, Im like that with books and TV series lol.

So what happens with me sometimes is I dont play a game for a good while, lets say 2 months. Alot has happened in that time and I dont have a fracking clue what I did last time lol. Guides help alot though, but if youre gudieless, its a pain.

Now what I like is when you are loading up your game and it gives you a nice summary of what happened before you saved and buggered off! Totally helpful, thank you very much!!! Seriously, it does help you get back into the game.

The only 2 games that spring to mind that do this are Rogue Galaxy and Dragon Age Origins. There maybe others, but I either cant remember them or havent played them lol. But it is a great element to the game instead of going in blindly!

Anyone else agree? Or disagree even?

I'm actually the same way, especially with The Last Remnant. I'll get so into it, planning out my strategy and harvesting for items to upgrade my weapons, and then I stop playing for 2-4 weeks. When I get back into it, I'm completely lost that it's very frustrating for the first 1-2 hours. I'd be like, "Okay, what was I doing again? Why am I in this location? There has to be a good reason, but I can't remember! What item do I need?" So I play blindly at times and will remember things I need to do a few days later.

Oh my God yeah! Last Remnant is a pain for this. As you said, you'll have the plan and getting weapons made, etc. Then not play it for a while and BAM! Its like walking into a room and saying "What did I come in here for???" Its so frustrating. Then you get back into the swing of things and come off the thing again lol :D

I don't think I have played any games that give summaries of what has happened as you load your saved game up. I think the closest I saw was in Lost when the game gave a "Previously on Lost" sequence with clips from earlier in the game at the begining of each chapter, and every time you loaded the game up (I think).

I think it is certainly a good idea, as you can get very confused and disorientated when you load a game up for the first time in months and find yourself in a random place.. Forgetting who you are meant to be visiting / blowing up, or what your aim is, or even just what the story in general is.

I tend to look things up on wikipedia if I have really forgotten the story of the game, read all I can about the story, then continue. The memories of playing the game and getting to that point would hopefully come back to me after doing that.

But yeah, games that do that would be great.. So long as it is an option to skip them if you did happen to be playing the game without massive break periods.. Then again I'd probably want to watch them anyway.

I find that when you don't play a game for a while, it helps to have a reminder of what you did last. Pokemon Platinum is a good example of this. if you play it, save and then leave it for a couple of days, when you load it up again it shows you your diary of what you did before you saved the game, and it's just like "oh yea, i forgot i had just done that"

But with games like FFVII, i would save and turn off then go back to it, lets say a month later, and then think to myself "oh crap, WTF was i doing, i totally wish this thing would let me know what i was up to before i saved and turned off the game for months" and it gets really annoying, especially if you had just lost Cloud to Mako poisoning and couldn't remember if you had activated Ultima weapon's grand entrance in that stupid ass little village that he F***s over and it's just like "oh come on game, gimmie a little help here.

so yea, i do find games that tell you what you did last are good, it's a good addition and really helpful, unless you didn't put the game down for a long time, then when you turn it back on it's like "yea, i know i did that last time i played, i turned the game off over night you pain in my Ass!!!"

Nope, I can't do this.. part of my OCD. I have to play through one game all the way through, unless it is just multiplayer. I can't stand not finishing a game, and if some other game were to grab my attention.. well I usually sell the current game I'm playing.

There are a few keepers of course, but those are all because they have high re playability. Unfortunately some games this year are more of a one timer.

So all in all.. I try to stay the course and beat the game. It bugs me if I don't.

This happens a lot, mainly with Oblivion, Fallout 3, and other increasingly frustrating games, i try to think of where i was last, then i hit the loading screen, i all comes clear, and then somehow, i end up getting past the frustrating part that stopped me from playing, it happens in nearly every game i play, and then i would just stop remembering how anger inducing it was
