Games that make your blood boil

Lost Kingdoms. I've never gotten so frustrated in my life over a video game.

I didn't really understand the "strategy" aspect of the battle system, so I was stockpiling cards in an attempt to win. After several hours of struggling, I managed to reach the king dude. After that fight, I just gave up. I would try to use my cards wisely, but I would always bottom out, run out of cards, and fail. It was horrible, and I don't even know how close I came to defeating him.

It stands as a blotch on my video game career to this day.

Wasn't that the Yu-Gi-Oh video game? o.o I think I played that....

....rofl...My most shamefull moments come from me losing because of stupid shit in games >.< I don't remember which Tekken it was, but the one where you had to fight the demonic grandfather at the end? That one got me FURIOUS, and you should ask LockhartAvenue about the Magic Pot from FFXII and I sometime :grumpy:

Let me elaborate.

xD "My most shamefull moments come from me losing because of stupid shit games." Everything there screams it obviously pisses him off to lose from a game he shouldn't be losing from. xD Hilarious. Which is my point.

So Pockets was playing FFXII and I was just watching, and we were taking turns playing. Three hour turns that is, yes, we were that addicted.

Than a magic pot turns up, and I just... lost it because of the actual name of the enemy, on top of Pockets yelling. "FFS! I'm losing from a pot! It's not funny Kira! I'm fucking diseased, and I can't attack back!!"

:ness: "I'm diseased! Oh no! A magic POT!" xD.... :lmao:

Needless to say, I lost it, and Pockets got really, really, upset with me, through my giggle fit. Rofl. =]

Now for games that piss me off, I don't get easily pissed off with games. The only thing I recall me every growling at was FFVII, when I took one step in the field, and defeated my fight, when I took another the fighting music started again. I was like WTF! I JUST ENDED A FIGHT!

How could I forget about KH2 :ffs:

I don't think I have ever ranted about one game in my entire LIFE, I was absolutely FUMING when I couldnt do Xaldin, every boss bar saix (har har) and Luxord (?) I had issues with. I'm CONVINVED Ive lost a few years off my life expectancy from that game, never ever again ¬¬

Last time I ever listen to Dave -__-

I swear I complained from start to finish, everything was just a drama

Wait 'til you play Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days, THEN you'll know what a difficult Kingdom Hearts game is...fucking bosses that have 10HP bars -__-
For me it has to be Bioshock, the difficulty settings between Survivor and Easy are MASSIVE, easily a larger range then any other game I've played. It goes from easy being able to kill an enemy in one shot to being killed in one shot, my blood pressure was raised until I completed survivor mode. Regardless, it's still a brilliant game! :awesome:

No, Lost Kingdoms was its own thing. It was set in a fantasy setting, and magic/battle was used through a card system.

Yep. That's the one. However, the card concept was too close to a familiar popular show that we all know. <.> Good game, but I don't really remember it being that difficult :wtf:

Pro Evolution Soccer used to do it to me, thanks to the draconian jerk that was the referee. What's that? Nudged a guy going for a 50/50 ball? Red Card matey! And if you tried to digitally object I'm pretty sure he'd go Les Grossman on your ass.

And then several games in some bright spark thought it'd be a great idea to put in handballs as fouls, so you can be penalised with something you have no control over.

Any online game is capable of making my blood boil. But it's not when my team loses that gets me off.

I get ticked off when there is any one player on the opposing team that just won't die no matter what I throw at them.

Like one time in Battlefield 1942, there was an enemy in a fighter plane that MUST have found a way to turn fog off. It was on the Kursk map (foggy). He would shoot me to smithereens repeatedly almost as soon as he was close enough for me to hear the plane coming. If I ever entered a vehicle, I'd be dead in a few seconds. Simply put, there was nothing I could do throughout the whole game except die over and over again. I don't think I've ever met a pilot in BF1942 that was able to keep me pinned like that.

The first Uncharted on crushing difficulty, and with god of war 1, 2, and CoO on god mode, Dead space was equally blood boiling, but Demon Souls takes the cake, because in the game, you play as an undead knight, who can still die, and other undead knights and traps will try to kill you, and when you die, you end up at the beginning of the level, and at the end of every level, you will face a boss, who will kill you, tell me that would'nt make your blood boil

ATM, it would have to be MW2's campaign on Veteran difficulty.

I'm at the oil rig level and it's driving me bananas. The enemies actually camp more than human opponents with the exception that they have owl like vision (that works in the day time :rage:) and shoot you in the head if you pop you're head out for just a second.
Doesn't matter though because it only takes 3 shots to die anyway.

Right now I'm pinned between snipers behind a smoke screen who throw grenades and sneaky bastards who magically appear coming up the stairs.

Honestly... :ffs:

Haha you know what game I found hard?? ugh, it makes me so irritated everytime I play that damn game :rage: Demon's souls I would always get stuck... well the first time around and I still couldn't get through! When I get mad I usually throw my controller :mokken: That game was a pain in the arse.. >.< :banghead: :dead:

batman arkham asylum was incredibly hard at times, i just couldnt get through certain points, i was so relieved when i finally beat it

Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 on single player offline mode.

The AI in this game is awful. Sure they shoot but that's about it. They always try to heal you at the wrong time (i.e. when you're being mauled by a horde or a tank is running right at you) or they completely ignore the fact that you're being attacked. >_>

Ex: Going through the hospital in L4D1. I step into a narrow hallway and a tank barrels around the corner at me. I start backing away and shooting it but there happens to be a desk in the way. The lovely AI, instead of coming into the hallway to help, shut the fucking door and stay in the stairwell. >_> Long story short, the tank incaps me and then they decide to come help me up. The tank is still running rampant until they finally realize that to help me up, they're going to have to kill the damn thing. -__-

That being said, the game is epic on multiplayer. :awesome:

Zelda Twilight Princess just made me nearly go nuts.

There's dudes you gotta kill on a bridge for a portal to appear there. They turn up after you passed said bridge, so I though, fine, I'll carry on and do it later. Big mistake.

Carried on for another two hours and then had to go back to Hyrule town. Could I get there? No. Why? All entries are sealed off, and the only way back is that fucking portal by the bridge. So glad I didn't save the game.

That's weird o.o Cause I neve had THAT much of a problem with Demon's Souls. With the exception of playing with friends -_- I can't dodge for them to!

Oh...and Flamelurker the first time I killed him. =/ Had to try that fight a few times <.>

Graye, for MW2, for the smoke screen part, hang to the left of where you reach that platform. Go prone with a thermal scope, and pick off the enemies who round the corner. If you stay left after getting rid of most of the normal people, the snipers can't hit you (I think?) if you stay behind the cover there otw to the breaching spot :)

FIFA Doing manager mode with the board difficulty on World class and the playing difficulty on legend it doesn't give you anything to spend on transfers the wage budget is so tight as well you end up having to sell players to buy who you want all this as well as trying to well in cup competitions and the league to make more money for next season

I.

HATE.

PERSONA.

I cannot begin to describe how horribly overrated that worthless excuse for an RPG is, other than it's convoluted story and agonizing dungeons the main issue that faces the game is how terrible it's battle system is. The only way to get decent spells in that game is by capturing monsters, sort of like in Pokemon- except in this game you have to convince monsters to give you their spell card by finding the right chat option and bribing them with valuable gold and rare items. This wouldn't be a problem if there weren't about 50 different chat options to choose from and only ONE of them which doesn't result in the monster becoming infuriated at you, getting an automatic stat boost and locking you out from chatting further for the rest of the battle. Getting rare spirits can take hours on end of painstaking trial and error. Then, when you finally do get a couple of rare cards to combine into a Persona, you will find that 80% of the time the persona you THOUGHT was going to be really tough ends up being a piece of crap after a few levels. The one party member who randomly gets the really good Persona then dominates your party for the rest of the game, continuously stealing all of your EXP as they repeatedly insta-kill the enemy mobs with mass-damage spells EVERY SINGLE BATTLE. It is an absolute mess of a game.

Add in the painful Japanese pop music that constantly loops in every single battle, the endless load screens and uninspiring environments, and you have a truly infuriating RPG.

How sad :sad3: I think totally opposite of this :awesome: Persona Pawans!!!
Which persona are we talking about?

And CrimsonGem Saga makes me fume. The game is definitely set-up for fail. The random enemies are very hard, the game seems very mixed up, and the bosses fail. The party members are very weak compared to normal enemies and the skills are learned in some very mediocre way.

I honestly flung the UMD out the window after playing the game for two days. Shoulda traded it, though :hmmm:

Right now its Turtles remake on the PSN, i'm trying to get a trophy at the moment called toe be or not toe be. I HAVE to avoid all traps in the 3rd level whilst fighting enemies. If one of them hit me i'm fucked because the recovery for the turtles is non existant -__-

For me its Secret Files: Tunguska. Avoid like the freaking plague!! Its a point and click game, but OMFG the amount of times Ive had to log on to get a walkthrough is ridic. The puzzles are insane and you cant help but get a walkthrough for it. The previous owner left their saved games and they were up to 15 hours long and Im on 5 hours!!

Im close to completing it, but Im not going to bother. Same with the second game, got it, but Im not gonna even play it. Im trading them both in towards FF13.

Most fighting games. I just suck so much at them, that I end up breaking something. Even Soul Calibur IV on hard was nearly impossible for me.

Other than fighting games, I'd have to say Mirror's Edge. The story mode itself could be incredibly frustrating at times, but not even that. The time trials in that game are impossible, I swear. I beat like three then I wanted to kill myself by the fourth one. It's a shame because it's more the control scheme than the level design that frustrates me at times.

Super Mario Bros. Wii in co-op. Especially when you have one guy that blames everything on everyone else. And when you suck at Mario games in the first place. Pisses me off so much.
