So :wacky:

What games make your blood boil, that Tekken thread got me thinking

My mum used to try to ban me from Tekken because Id be having a fit at it, I used to always get stuck for AGES around stage 5 or 6 and Id be RAGING. My brothers the same though, its hilarious, Id be downstairs and all I can hear is UGGGGGH, THIS GAMES SHIT ....hahaha

Mario Kart and Micro machines are also ones for getting my blood pressure on the boil, id be falling off the tables/ledges or whatever and id be SEETHING, i swear it takes a decade to get you back on the track ¬¬

And god help anyone that might be multiplaying with me, Im a sore sore loser, especially if they are gloating ¬¬

Im generally not too bad with other racing games, Im just straight out shit at them, too realistic, but the y just annoyed me SO much becuase I KNEW I could do it, I was just getting foiled by the same ledge or ruler or bit of cocking oil on the track

-__-

:wacky:

TBH it's boss fights in action games that do it to me. First time I fought & beat Xaldin in KH2 my body was going MAD, my legs were all weak and I kept shivering :gonk: Tekken not so much, that just makes me go :grumpy: every time I hear my character go "Arhhh!" right when I was about to land a KO hit -__-

How could I forget about KH2 :ffs:

I don't think I have ever ranted about one game in my entire LIFE, I was absolutely FUMING when I couldnt do Xaldin, every boss bar saix (har har) and Luxord (?) I had issues with. I'm CONVINVED Ive lost a few years off my life expectancy from that game, never ever again ¬¬

Last time I ever listen to Dave -__-

I swear I complained from start to finish, everything was just a drama

"Proud mode's not that hard" :wacky:

Saix just took a very long time for me. <_< With Luxord it was like "AAAH WHOSE TIME IS SMALLER"
Speaking of which, TIME LIMITS. I hate those. They really don't help. Especially when your health bar/the timer starts making "bee boo bee boo" noises.

Let's see....Devil May Cry 1 on DMD mode..never actually managed to complete it on that difficulty. I broke a few controllers and games whilst doing that. xD
I would get pissed off if I didn't get a perfect lap on Gran Turismo 4.
And...probably Metal Gear Solid 3 in my Cigar Equipped throughout game- Extreme playthrough.

That really fucking winds me up, timers do my SHED in, liek you're not panicking enough trying to complete the task at hand, it starts FLASHING at you or BEEPING, then it all goes to pot and I end up screwing up and having to restart, Labrynth with the air bubble son Sonic, that level was the worst level EVER, the warning music used to set me RIGHT on edge

The moving screens in Super Mario World used to get me grinding the old gnashers aswel, I crumble under pressure :gonk:

TimeSplitters 2 on Hard was a nob, I got stuck on like the first level for AGES, then Id be ok afew levels and get stuck again, I was stuck on the Tokyo level for AGES (or wherever it was) AGES i tell you AGES.....actually, I dont think it was that one...but fuck me was that level hard on hard

ther ewere some ANNOYING as hell arcade awards too, I wasnt happy with silver awards oh no, I had to have at least gold on everything, so id be sat there retrying stupid levels over and over again, the ones where you had to be last man standing where a pain, the virus ones specifically, youd see the red dots coming at yhou, youre trying to stay alive AND stay alive liong enough to get the gold/platinum and SOME FUCKER INFECTS YOU WITH SECONDS TO SPARE

Its no wonder Ive been throguh so many consoles/control pads really

I think I have an anger issue :wacky:

Oh my goodness, you've played Micro Machines!? Hahaha, that's so awesome, I didn't think anyone knew that game except me! Oh yeah, and both of these games will get your blood boiling indeed.

Pretty much every game I've played, I had moments with that I'm not proud of. I think fighting games bug me more than anything. It's like you attack the guy when he's airborne and somehow he blocks it. Then it's like "you're in the air, YOU CAN'T BLOCK!", then you lose the match by like 1 hit and your furious. In most recent memory, Soul Caliber 4 put me to emotional places I never knew existed. That is just one of those games that can be so goddamn annoying, especially when you're only a mediocre player like myself.

Tears of frustration have often lined my eyes over the years, though I can't for the life of me think which games this applies to. More recently I've found myself pulling sour faces at the likes of Prototype (hard mode... go to hell) and Ninja Blade. The former is such a swine with not only fast enemies, but really strong, resilient and HP-packed enemies - all into one neat ball of pure impossibility. And not only do these happy chappie bosses come out to play once, no-no! They'll come in bastarding hordes. HORDES. The amount of times I've put my controller down after failing a mission on Prototype has to be a near-record for me. =[

Ive still got it, just a shame i have no megadrive to play on ¬¬

Theres one level that really gets to me, and it involves rulers, no matter HOW many times Id try it, id fall off the same bastard rulers at the same spots every time, I tried going slow, and Id still end up poofing off. I dont think i EVER came first on that level

I remember coming close once, I managed to keep the ruler falling offage to an impressive minimum, last corner I fucking fell off the corner of the desk, I just kind of sat there calmly, watched as the car behind me got into first, and I followed over the line for a close 2nd

THEN i raged, IM NEVER PLAYING THIS FUCKING SHIT GAME AGAIN, IT CHEATS, CHEATS I TELL YOU

Or something along those lines ¬¬

Im not graceful in defeat

I remember when you used to get those net yaroze games on PS1 demo disks, and I was trying to play one and it was some shitty platform game, I couldnt even jump on the first ledge, i just kept dying

I threw my control pad at the tv in the end an d heard something smash inside it, next thing I know my picture has turned green, it was like, having a black and white telly, only green

So, the first time I eer beat FFVIII, I beat it in green ¬¬

I almost had a nervous breakdown over Xaldin -_-

In recent years, the Madden games have frustrated me to no end. The game is pretty much broken, as far as I'm concerned. Receivers won't catch when they're supposed to, sometimes you can get "supercornerback'd", yet at other times, you can throw a perfect 80 yard pass. They had a winning formula six years ago, what's changed, EA?

Furthermore, online play is terrible, thanks in no small part to the cheesers on there who use cheat formations and abuse certain QB-WR combinations, but that's not necessarily EAs fault.

guitar hero frustrates me at times..songs i know im really good at, then i make the silliest mistake..i end up smashing the guitar on the ground.

Mario Kart definitely. Particularly Donut Plains and Rainbow Road. Rainbow Road is clearly the work of the devil. If you don't have a seizure from all of the bright colors, you end up falling off the ledge at every turn. :gonk: It's always the Gophers that get me at Donut Plains. -__-

Also Double Dragon II. That level where you have to climb to the top of the train, while avoiding those stupid water spouts. I always die at least once because I can never get the timing right. >_>

Hahaha, that's such an awesome story Kels. Sadly enough, I can't remember all the levels that well. Micro Machines V3 was the most recent MM I played (for PS1), and it was just as annoying. The one thing that was cool about this game was that you could get weapons for your car. It was pretty cool to have a giant hammer on your hood to smash cars with, or turn into a fireball and just torch every opponent you get close too. :gonk: I loved the science levels though, you would teleport and such, it was awesome. But again, those levels would be annoyingly hard as well.

Oh my, Double Dragon II was epic! I'll say that climbing on top of the train never gave me too many issues, but the levels right after that were freaking hard. Jumping on the disappearing platforms and missing and falling in the hole were annoying as well. Then the level after that where you're jumping on gear wheels to get to the next doors, then after like 50 screens, you finally got to the boss, or maybe there wasn't a boss, I forgot. But all in all, DDII actually didn't bother me too much, but I can totally see where it would be. :ness:

If I was lucky enough to make it past that stupid train part (which was rare), those disappearing platforms always finished me off. -__- Sadly, I've never finished that game.

DMC3 when you have to brake those damn crystal using a huge number of combos. Man that was really annoying.

KHII while fighting Sephiroth at the 1st time. My lvl was so fucking low that I fought with Sephiroth for about 18 times before I quit trying!! I just gave up on him.

....rofl...My most shamefull moments come from me losing because of stupid shit in games >.< I don't remember which Tekken it was, but the one where you had to fight the demonic grandfather at the end? That one got me FURIOUS, and you should ask LockhartAvenue about the Magic Pot from FFXII and I sometime :grumpy:

Ahhh! Any kind of fighting game annoys me to no end when I cannot win. Especially when I am skilled with a certain character and we get down the last bar of health, the both of us, and he keeps blocking! Then he lays out a punch after he blocks. Ughhh, I scream for dear lord. -___-;; This happened more so in Tekken then in any other fighting game.

OH! Also when I faced Sorcerress Edel in VIII. I could not beat her for the life of me. No matter how hard I tried. I remember that once I finally did it I didn't replay that game for a good while.

Rainbow road is a bitch. I would always be in the lead, feeling good....then WHAM!! Sharp turn, i fall over, 8th place now, i lose -___- Mario Kart is a blood boiling game, tbqh. Also, crimson gem saga. The difficulty is just Devil work hard. The enemies are flung at you with strength that could knock out an elephant.

Croc 2 on the PlayStation.. It had the most annoying camera angle and it would always get in the way, and whenever you had to jump over cliffs and etc the camera angle would twist and you would miss the jump. Got up to a boss where you had to stop his bombs. But would always miss stopping his bombs because the camera. That Game was smashed, broken up and used as a Frisbee Thrown in the bin twice and tossed around the room whenever got frustrated with it. But It still worked afterward ! 0-O

Yeah ! Got stuck on Edea on FF VIII and even had to restart from the start because didn't notice the monsters level up with you thing and Edea kept on casting Death 3 & Draw on the party.

Lost Kingdoms. I've never gotten so frustrated in my life over a video game.

I didn't really understand the "strategy" aspect of the battle system, so I was stockpiling cards in an attempt to win. After several hours of struggling, I managed to reach the king dude. After that fight, I just gave up. I would try to use my cards wisely, but I would always bottom out, run out of cards, and fail. It was horrible, and I don't even know how close I came to defeating him.

It stands as a blotch on my video game career to this day.
