Alright guys and girls. Jay, Tia, Vircon and I have been playing Left 4 Dead/Left 4 Dead 2 for the last few nights and I just thought I'd make a thread for it outside of Tantalus/Cruxis where there'd be a little competition. We're playing on 360 (which is all I have) but any other game/console suggestions would be welcome if anyone wants to join us. :andry:

I have yet to download the demo. I'm too lazy to hook up my Xbox. :wacky: But maybe tomorrow. Do you guys actually use the headset while you play?

I don't. Tia, Jay and Vircon do, but not too often. By the time talking is necessary, Jay's ruined things beyond repair anyway. :rage:

But the demo is online, so I could play through it with you if you wanted. The AI sucks in that game.

What Diar said. While at times the AI can be useful with killing special infected, it is not so reliable when it comes to tactics.

I also wouldn't recommend joining a random room either. Even if you manage to find one, people tend to kick you for all sorts of little reasons.

How many players for the demo? Thought there's supposed to be 4 or something? :hmmm: The intro to the first Left4Dead was enough to make me wet my pants. Infected humans are so scary. I can't imagine what Left4Dead 2 would be like. Even better than the first one, I take it...which isn't good. :hmmm:

It's not all that scary. The intros use very up close, CGI like graphics and the real game isn't all that scary. The only thing that could really creep you out is the Witch, the crying woman in the intro who goes insane when you annoy her.

The game only looks scary. Once you actually play it it is not scary at all. The only scary things in the game are really just Witches and Tanks and that's only because they can easily take down your health bar. It can also be scary if they appear out of no where with no warning but thankfully that doesn't happen very often.

How dare you, Diar.
I admit I ruin a lot of things, but I help keep you alive too when I'm not hitting you with friendly fire. :jtc:

Anyways...it's actually more funny than terrifying. Every single night we find something that we can laugh about in-game. It's also very fun. Hacking hordes of zombies with axes can be very satisfying. :ryan:

Sounds like it could be fun. If there's a free weekend this weekend, then I'll download the demo for it and play with you guys.

Now, is it L4D or L4D2 that you have been playing? I wouldn't want to get the wrong one and not be able to play with the group.

Because I'm not made of money. :hmph:

But no. It's really fun. Chargers on ladders. :wacky:

Well, looks like I need to get whichever Mits is gonna get, so that you all can get it, so that we can all be on the same page.

We'll have to figure which four will play though, as obviously only 4 can play the demo. Anyone volunteering to sit out? :hmmm:

I'll sit out. You'll probably play early in the day anyway so I won't be here anyway. :neomon:

I can get the demo easily, but I don't have live. And unfortunately, I have to wait for the weekend to find out if I'm gonna get it or not.

And Jay, I'm totally not sitting out. :mokken:

:rage: Damnit Joey.

Right. So it'll be Tia, Jay and I helping Mits through the demo with Vircon stepping in when he can get on if I have to go?

Sounds good to me. :ryan:

Sorry to double post, but there are the opening intros to both games, with the last two videos being about as scary as it's ever gonna get.

To add to those vids, you generally only come across one Witch and Tank per level.

Yeah and usually you know when they're coming since Tanks have their own music and you can hear a Witch's crying. The only thing that sucks is when you find out the Witch is somewhere where you have to go and unless you are like Diar and can kill Witches quickly before they can react it usually means someone will get hurt if not killed.
