Ello Ello im currently bored right now so I decided to make this thread. Im curious who in a war between Galbadia and Bevelle would win? Just ta keep in mind Bevelle doesn't have vegnagun in this war but it does have everat that giant wyrm thing. It is also led by barralei the blue skinned guy. Galbadia includes all its territories including Galbadia garden. It is led by sorceress Edea (I would say Ultimecia but with her time commpresion it wouldn't be a fair war) So I would love to hear y'alls opinions please ^^

Galbadia, Because bevelle is just to far behind in technology to be able to compete.

Bevelle is not that far behind technologically its just that most of there stuff are remnants of a 1000 year old war, it might break or they dont how to fix it? Galbadia has really cool homing missiles that are actually really crap, I mean 1 typo and they go into some guys shed or straight back at the Missile base(most likely the last one lol).

And we dont know if Bevelle has any kind of Anti Ballistic shield, Galbadia has a functioning production setup in place for manufacturing new weapons, Bevelle does not even have, supposedly, the knowledge to fix there weapons or create new ones.

Vengna Gun would be off little consequence to Galbadia they have weapons of equal power plus there Troops are more efficiently trained, Galbadia Garden is Mobile versus the static City of Bevelle........how ever Bevelle does have access to the Bahamut Fayth,so they could implement that?

All in all Galbadia because theres is a currently functioning army vs the The poorly trained and badly dressed Bevelle Corps.

Although the Galbadians are very incompetent so you never know really............

@Galaxy Flare
I too believe Bevelle would win though it would be a hard battle with Bevelle having Barralai Everat and Bahamut. Edea and her garden could take care of Barralai and Bahamut Everat while powerful could possibly be taken out by Galbadias soldiers (not factoring vegnagun or Ultimecia for some reason I have a strange dislike of them) Though as you said missil strikes could be Bevelles weakness if they have no anti air-weapons. Not to mention Bevelle could train new summoners so that might turn the tide.
@Rydrum
Technology doesn't always win a war (Sin versus Zanarkand,Atmos versus lindblum etc etc etc) Though like above Galbadia would win even if barely

Your dislike of Ultimacia and Baralai is well founded, 1 is time compressed tramp the other Is just a wanker.......Ahem......The Summoner recruits would have to be trained and we dont know if Bevelle out sources there training to the temples, the point being Bevelle is a stits city and the Galbadian forces could put a strangle hold on the roads out of the city.

Thus rendering the Summoners training effectively halted.

Whats the population of Bevelle? 100,000 with maybe 20,000 troops, Galbadia could field an army bigger than that and plus troop transport and Air Support.

Galbadia hands down.......Lol Biggs and Wedge field marshalls!

Lol that would be funny to see them as field marshals. Also I said vegnagun and Ultimecia not Barralai and Ultimecia though Barralai does seem a little squalish. Meh but thats just my opinion. Cutting there summoners off from Bevelle would weaken them though I have a feeling im missing something. Besides Everat Bahamut and most summoners does Bevelle control anything else? (Not counting the wanke-I mean Maesters and vegnagun)

Yes wankers is the right word Seren lol

Maggots also fits, Missing something? about what ? the summoners being cut off?
I mean by all possible routes land, sea air is not a consideration..........y'know at every point I can see the G-Army out maneuvering the Bevelle forces.

Yea they are better trained. I meant are there anymore weapons,people,etc etc etc that Bevelle controls. As for Galbadia all I know is that they have a large army the are led by sorceress Edea and her garden and they have missils.

Well, I think Galbadia mainly relies on magical means to achieve its goals. Yeah it has its more physical fighters, like Squall, Zell and Selphie to an extent, but it's the magic users that really make it shine.

Considering Bevelle were able to defeat Zanarkand, a pretty magic reliant city, I do think that Bevelle's technology, combined with the magic of Evrae and Baralai, along with its summoners, would be able to overwhelm Galbadia in the end. Let's face it. If three students can overhwelm Edea, a whole nation certainly could. :wacky:

Post count +1.

If the Yevon from a 1000 years previously had fought the modern Galbadia we see in FFVIII, then Yevon would easily win this one. Galbadia's big weapons are its (not that sophisticated in my view) Intercontinental Ballistic Missile system as well as a vast army that would be comprised of recruits from around the continent as well as the capability of sorcery. Pre-Sin Yevon is however, a juggernaut of firepower if it can take down a nation as advanced as Zanarkand. It comes with all these fiends, summoners, Machina weapons and such. I'm sure it can't be too hard to intercept and destroy Galbadia's missiles and overwhelm their numbers with more intimidating counterattacks.

Present day Yevon against present day Galbadia? With Baralai in charge? Not entirely sure here. In fact, I'm not fully clear on the question either? Is this just a what-if scenario where Baralai acts as Maester of Yevon and not FFX-2's New Yevon? If that's the case (as New Yevon is shit in FFX-2), I'm pretty sure Yevon and Bevelle can still put up quite a good fight. They can rope in devout Yevonite summoners to unleash Aeons at the Galbadians while Galbadia suffers with incompetent men like Biggs and Wedge (they have no chance as Field Marshals xD). They do have their own Machina (using them would expose the fallacies of their teachings of course) and with a being like Evrae, I don't think Galbadians would be too good against that.

Ehh...Yevon would probably win in this war. Galbadia just looks like no more than an ordinary modern imperialist state with some magical capabilities against a de-facto, religious, global superpower with huge weapons at its disposal.

@Lightning
Squall Zell and Selphie belong to Balamb. Bevelle never actually beat Zanarkand sin in the control of Yu yevon did. They never said how Bevelle survived sin. In Final fantasy X sin almost completely destroyed Bevelle by falling on it. Mostly I just think Bevelle barely survived or sin was too lazy to destroy it in the ending days of the machina war.

@Fluer
Barralai would be the only maester (I never did like the previous wankers or new yevon)

@GalaxyFlare
lol true buy Im a very stubborn person so im sticking with my statement ^^ You know whats funny? I killed sin and yu yevon with a ball a giant civilization destroying monster was destroyed by a blitz ball. (The final attack was with a blitz ball when I killed him)
