I think you have great text techniques! The effects that you have used are good, but they are not blended in too well. One the reasons why this is so is conflicting colors and the effects being too obvious. Change the opacity of these brushes/effects and things may look less clashing. You should try to put a gradient over the pieces and then applying soft light layer property. This is good in blending stuff too.

I am sure if you practice more and watch tutorials you will be good in no time! Good luck!

I never thought of doing that, but that's a great idea! I didn't really mess with the opacity much, but that probably would help. Thank you, Cid. :)
 
I can see you got some of the most basic stuff down - text, blending, and the like, so that's good. I am glad to see that you're using C4Ds as a way to blend in. I'm not sure which program you use, but if you could use Gradiant maps as a way to help bring out more color, I think you would like it.

you got great signatures here, but their a few tips i can give you to help you with your signatures. number 1 is blending, you need to try and blend the signatures in abit more... as on alot of them it not blended in to great. another thing you could do is try and add lighting, try using graidents to create lighting, this will blend in the signatures better too, for your blending, you could try using the eraser to rub out the eges of the signature, but make sure the orcacity level of the eraser is not set to 100% try around 60% can't wait to see more from you :)
 
I tried messing with the gradients/lighting effects. I have a few other things made, but my computer is being a piece of crud right now, and these are the only things it's letting me post. I couldn't decide which text I liked best, so I made a few copies.




 
Those new sigs you posted up look good but I think the lighting at the girl is a little too strong. If it was toned down a little I think it would look much nicer, I do like the text though :D You're pretty good with text from what I can see.

Yeah, the brightness bothers me too. >.< But Gimp was being all fussy and would either make it too bright or too dull, and I figured brighter was probably a bit better.
 
Wow they look amazing I really like the one with Cloud and Aeris XD You will get better if you practice more. Also keep trying more things I want to see more
