Well, after weeks of planning,(as well as being chased up on it xD) I'm finally ready to properly begin my little story, so without further ado, I proudly present...

Freaks Anonymous
Theme: Thoughts of a dying Atheist - Muse

Prologue - "Just Try To Be Normal"

"I'm sorry, right, but it just seems so odd moving into a new home at two in the morning," Filden sighed as he lifted two suitcases from the boot of the Toyota him and his three roommates had just been in for five hours, "I'm pretty sure that if any of the neighbours are watching us now, they'll already begin having suspicions that there ain't something right about us."

Faith, who Filden had handed one of the suitcases to, shrugged it off and smirked, "Quite frankly Fil, if any of the neighbours ARE watching us now at this hour, then they have bigger issues than us." Faith had arrived at the front of the door and she begun searching for keys to open the door of the four's new but old home at the beachtown of Leysdown.

Filden couldn't help but slightly chuckle at this statement, but he quickly dropped that expression for a brief yawn. Regretting not taking a nap when he had the chance, his mood became even more sour as he threw noticed his pale and dark haired roommate walking up the path, "You better be grateful, y'know! We could of came in the in the morning and let you make your own way in the evening!"

Damon and Rene couldn't help but laugh at Filden's neurotics, quickly earning himself a glance from Filden himself. Rene eventually giggled "Come on Fil, lighten up on Robert Pattinson. Not his fault he doesn't take too well to the sun."

Damon eyerolled after hearing this, muttering under his breath "That's an understatement..."

But before the coversation could go on, Faith had the door opened and the thought of continuing the coversation escaped their minds entirely. They all stepped through to a simplistic hallway with three doors and a stairway, the stairway up to 4 doors. Filden decided to peek through the first door on the right, a two loveseat settees facing each other with a coffee table between had already been set up, and by the door leading to the kitchen was four cardboard boxes, one for each housemember.

"Ah good, they've already been," Faith smiled, pleased. Faith decided to take this move into her own hands, seeing as how Rene handled the last move, Damon the time before, and Filden would of made too much of a busy over it, but they allowed him to think it was going in age order. "Then hopefully, they remembered to put the set of key on the kitchentop." Faith remembered as she skipped over the boxes blocking the way to the kitchen.

With nothing to take his mind off it, the discomfort Filden had been enduring for the last five hours returned. Now under a roof, Filden growled, "Close the curtains, like, now please," Rene quickly nodded and ran to the window to seal the cloth that was letting Filden suffer. Now closed, Filden quickly threw his jumper off to unleash what has been causing him this great discomfort; his angel wings.

Killed two years ago along with his family, Filden found himself lost between death and life as he didn't leave the planet at all; instead he continued his life as an Angel. However, he found that being an Angel was not how it had been depicted in stories, his emotions had remained intact, as did his ability to feel, in fact his hearing improved as did his ability to smell, and he can still taste despite never needing to eat; however, against his will, he must fend of the unholy hordes that plague this Earth, it doesn't come as an order to him, it comes as instinct.

Unleashing his wings was just as much of a relief as taking that first stretch after stepping out of a car. Damon and Rene managed to avoid getting in the way, not to soon after taking a sit down to finally appreciate this moment of peace. But a thought soon crossed Damon's mind; he hasn't had anything to 'drink' for the past six hours, and his throat was beginning to feel uncomfortably dry. "I need some blood." He remarked to his rommmates.

Damon became a vampire in the 1807, making him 202 years of age, though keeping the appearence of a 19 year old. For the first 110 years of his life, he spent them as a typical evil vampire; sucking the blood out of the innocent through either violence of seduction, often depending on the gender of the victim. It was through what he saw in World War I however, when he saw the tragedy and suffering that the people had to endure that he did not want to cause anymore hurt or pain. His quest for redemption begun from that point on.

Damon quickly unzipped his bag and browsed through the unorganised mess he threw together five minutes before they left "Ah, here we go! Don't ask why I didn't ask to pull over to have a drink whilst we were making the way" Damon chuckled before taking a large chug out of it.

Rene though, feeling the need to fit in a sadistic comment remarked "Y'know I wouldn't of pulled over anyway" He then winked at his vampire friend and chuckled "I'm just joking with you bud." Rene then took a quick glance around his new home, "Y'know, I grew up in a place like this before the mothership realised I was a sin against everything holy."

Renero Skylar was born of a one night stand shared between a human and a demon in 1959. His mother remained oblivious to his powers until he turned five when his IQ was at a higher level than that of his teachers as well as his ability to create fire, and at that point his mother abandoned him in the woodlands, where he learned to lived like other wild demons for 20 years of his life until he discovered the benefits of living in civilisation.

"Talking on the past now, are we? That's the last thing you wanna do when we've just moved into a new house!" commented Faith as she entered the front room to take a seat. "We're starting anew now, let's look to the future!"

Faith was always optimistic and smart, though not quite on the level of Rene, he says that she is "Pretty good for a human". That said, Faith is the most human of the four. She first discovered her Pyschic abilities when she was 14 and begun hearing the thoughts of others, which at first led her to thinking she was losing her sanity until she then begun moving objects with a mere thought. Despite this, her life continued on as normal until she discovered her childhood friend Filden Gurito had become an angel after his death and decided to assist him with her powers.

Filden took and step forward and smiled; it was moments like this when all four were together he remembered why else they were close friends aside from being dubbed 'freaks'. It was for moments like this, where they were together and not feel different, a crowd they could relate to. "...God I feel so cheesey right now"

This 'out of the blue' statement earned Filden raised eyebrows from his roomies; Filden shrugged and shook his head, hinting that it is nothing the other three needed to concern themselves with.

"I sorted out my job before I arrived," Filden remarked after placing his cup down after taking a gulp of tea

"Glad to see at least one of you boys plan ahead," Faith smirked, directing her comment at Damon and Rene,

"Right then, Gay-briel," Rene spat, "Where's this job then?" Rene sat with his arms crossed, assuming his 'Tell us, then!' position, sitting next to Damon, who wasn't bothered about work, needless to say other people's work.

"At the arcade near the beach," Filden smiled, awaiting some sort of praise from his friends, and unexpectant of their actual reactions; a raised eyebrow from Damon, hysteric laughter from Rene, and an uneasy head scratch from Faith, "Wha...What? Oh leave off! It's a job, innit!?"

"You know what! You're right! We can't exactly expect executive from the word go! You've done well!" Faith cheered, "Quit laughing Rene! He's doing better than you!" Rene's laughing cut off like a snapped wire, leaving him to feel slightly belittled. Filden and Rene have always been slightly competitive, so having that fact pointed out to Rene would most likely get him out there and searching for a job, which Faith knew all to well.

"Well, it's three o'clock already, ain't you all supposed to be tired?" Damon reminded, "You'd best get to bed unless you wanna mess up your body clock"

Faith gasped "Three in the morning already!? Christ! Time flies," Faith then chugged her tea and stood up to make her way to the hallway, but then remembered another matter she had to bring up, "Oh, and guys" She said as she turned to face the boys again, "Please, just try to be normal! We don't need a repeat of Nottingham!"

Rene hissed "We're big boys! We're capable of learning from our past mistake! Jesus!"

Faith then laughed, "Alright, calm yourself! It's just a friendly reminder" Faith then made her way to her bedroom.

Upon her exit, a cloud of silence descended upon the boys, Damon, not liking this, tried to raise coversation, "Them movers better not of took any of my stuff!"

"Good thought" Filden replied, "You can check while we go to bed!" earning a giggle from Rene and an evil glance from Damon. Filden then rose and chugged what was left of his tea, but he couldn't help but realise something "Lately there's been less and less flavour in tea...coffee too." Damon and Rene raised an eyebrow at Filden, but Filden remain of obliviously to this, shrugged it off, and made his way upstairs to call it a night.

You've used a decent vocabulary in there, it's pretty impressive in that matter. Although I'd suggest using the verb 'chugging' a bit less; it's not a very good word for the likes of drinking tea.

You could still go into a lot more depth with things though - descriptions of the characters and their surroundings mainly. You've gone into emotions/feelings well but nothing further.
Most of the story feels very rushed, as though you were forcing your way through it. I'd recommend reading through it again and tweaking things here and there.

Oh, I feel so exposed. xD

I'm so glad you started this, Sonny! I need to bug you on MSN again for those details. Looking forward to moar! Oooh, being surrounded by all these guys is getting me hot and flustered! :gasp:
