Hellish place -__-

And it's not because I keep dying, no. I'm actually faring quite well against the monsters.....but I'm LOST and it's doing my head in. I swear I've been wandering round here dropping down random holes for about an hour :stare: I have had the option to return to my ship, found another save point but STILL I seem to be going around in circles. HOW do people have the patience for this?! If I finally get to the boss and DIE there will be hell to pay

I officially hate this place more than Zozo -__-

How do you survive this place without tearing your hair out :gasp:

i truthfully don't know how i managed to get through that part. all i did was wander around my team and found atma weapon. not something you want to fight unprepared. however try going up from the save point that's kinda where you need to go.

Teleporting dungeons are one of the most basic set-ups of RPG dungeons...>_> All you have to do is eliminate the possibilities you've already taken, make sure to hit all the switches, and you should be good to go...It's really not that difficult...MIND OVER MATTER! You can do it! I believe in you! ^_^

TWO HOURS I was stuck there. TWO BLOODY HOURS....I got there in the end, I failed to notice that the path near where you see the airship opens up....... Im such a plonker

I was on the right pat all along...oh well, at least I got afew levels out of it

I'm glad it's ver now -_-

I did indeed,I had to stand around for 2 whole minutes for the slow arse, I just went to the loo while I waited :monster:

Over? So you managed to beat Atma Weapon? (damn translators!)

Ah, I remember going through that hell hole. The worst part (for me...) were fighting those damn ninjas. My first playthrough, they kicked my ass! But by my second playthrough I didn't have much of a problem. And then they throw Atma Weapon at the end O_O...who knows how I managed to get through there. Lucky I guess.

I never saved Shadow...

Wait, are you upset at Woosley for mistranslating (/localizing/whatever you want to call him not calling it it's actual name) it in the original? Or for new translators reinstating it's actual name: Ultima Weapon?

The mistranslation is what I'm upset at. At least they translated it correctly in the GBA version. Kudos to them. :neomon:

Well, if you're really interested in a (very) literal translation (of the SNES version), there's a fan-made translation patch that you can get here. Thanks go to Sky Render & ChrisRPG of RPGOne.

I forgot how I survived either. Can't even remember.

The worst isn't over though. I think there's a final level where you have to use all the characters together to solve the puzzles.

And a side quest tower that has a similar idea too.

But the more challenging the puzzles, the more worthwhile to have solved them.

Yeah, imagine the Locke & Moogle fight in the beginning only times a hundred...and in dungeon/caves at least ten times worse than the Floating Continent! You'd better balance your leveling! ;)

Those will be;

Phoenix Cave, Kefka's Tower (final destination of the main game, similar sense to Ultimecia's Castle in VIII) and the GBA exclusive Dragon's Den. All using 3 party's if I remember right and all fairly challenging if levels arn't good and/or decent magic hasn't been obtained.

I'm only half way through the Dragon's Den now. >_<

Yeah, and don't think you can Moogle Charm your way through it like you can the Cult of Kefka's Tower because you're gonna hit bosses with each party...not so much in Phoenix Cave though as you'll be able to switch your team's placements at a couple times...and there's really only one boss that I recall (one of the Dragons)...

This all sounds great -__-

I'd better get levelling. And I hate stupid puzzles and stuff, I STILL need a walkthrough for Ultimecias \Castle so I'm gunna be doomed

Oh and those blooddy dragons that sneezed on me on that coninent did my head in. If I see anymore of those I am likely to throw my PS out of the window :stare:

Fire Dragon I do belive, and is quite easy anyways.

Actually all Dragons are easy as long as your levels are good. Now the ones in the Dragon's Den have abit of an arsehole on them but don't worry Bam, they arn't on the PS version ;)

I don't recall how I survived actually, but now we're talking about the floating continent, where can I find Shadow? D:

After the timer starts, leg it to the edge and instead of jumping in your airship, hit wait. once the timer gets almost to zero Shadow will show his slow arsed face :monster:

Floating Continent was terribly easy for me. However, I was quite overlevelled, seeing as I wanted everyone to learn their spells. The weapon I fought = lasted few turns. :gasp:

Yeah I had a hell of a time getting through the Floating Continent too. Navigating it was pretty frustrating, but the worst for me were the ninjas with their elemental attacks. Those tore my party up pretty badly.
