It's been over three years since we saw the first Final Fantasy XIII trailer at E3 2006 and I bet most of you never thought you'd have to wait this long to see the last one. Square Enix has updated the official site with a countdown for the last Final Fantasy XIII trailer and we have 4 days to wait. We can only assume it's going to be the launch trailer for the Japanese release less than a month away now. The countdown finishes at 4am GMT this Wednesday (25th November).

Dude I went to the site and there is some freaky chick I've never seen before on their! She looks like some evil ice queen or something!

She looks sorta like that one with the Harp.

Anyway I don't know if I want to watch it or not. =0 I think I may spoil it even more for myself. >_<
 
Ummm Kandy I don't think they will put spoilers in a trailer. Also you must be talking about Siren right? Im not sure if I see a freaky looking ice queen in the site. Maybe its Siren from the first trailer. Also I can't wait for this trailer! Thanks Ryan!
 
The last trailer after THREE YEARS. Wowzers, it's so close yet so far away. I just realized how small the group was this time. Aren't the FF groups usually 7 or 8 people?

I didn't say that.

I said I didn't want to watch anymore trailers because I didn't want to spoil it anymore for myself.

By that I meant I didn't want to watch anymore trailers as I would not get to save any of the excitement for the game.

Ah ok Kandy I understand. Also can you tell me where you see that freaky ice queen? Also @Sorrel I don't think its a small group cause we might have to play as Nora in some part of the story. Also I still believe that Serah might be playable or be a guest character. They should reveal one more character though :gasp:
 
The freaky girl that I think is freaky is on the main page of the official site Ryan posted.

You have to wait for the images to move around the screen and she is just before that woman who plays the harp.

I've never seen her before. But then again I didn't really want to get to into it and confuse myself. Don't want to go into the game thinking I know things when I don't. XD
 
Ah perhaps you mean Shiva and her sister? Shiva was like the 2nd summon to be revealed. Well ya im sure its possible you have not seen her before but its ok. You might have seen shiva but not the other one she's with. Shiva is 2 summons in XIII.
 
I don't think we will get to play as Serah... I think she goes out onto her own adventure, and then maybe meet up with her... later? I don't know. I think it would better if we can't play as Serah.
 
The poster seems to tell us that our six main playable characters are set in stone. If Serah can be playable, I assume she will just be a guest, like Larsa and Vossler in FFXII. I can picture that image as being the American boxart though for some reason.

Technically, they already have. From the last trailer alone you can work out that:
- Lightning & Serah's parents died.
- Sazh's son got turned into a crystal.
- Vanille has done something to anger Sazh and feels guilty towards Serah.
- Serah seems to suffer the same fate as Dajh.
- There's massive tension between Hope and Snow.
- Oerba Yun Fang is on one side or another at some point.

I mean, a few of those you can pick up from the web novel, and whilst they aren't massive spoilers, they're still spoilers :wacky:

I'm not really that hyped about the trailer though tbh, TGS had a nice trailer because we hadn't heard from FFXIII in a while and since the release date there's nothing left to look forward to until the actual game's release D:
 
I agree with you, Ryan. While a new trailer for FFXIII is a rather nice treat, I really can't find any reasons to be excited about it when the game itself is so close and its release date set in stone (presumably, if SE doesn't decide to delay it!). Trailers have most impact when they are the first ever one, or when there has been a long gap between them. We've had so many FFXIII trailers now that the novelty completely fades. We've only had the TGS one not so long ago anyway.

FF Versus XIII however, is the game I actually plead to have a trailer of soon. We've seen very little of it and very little new content this year so far.

 
There is definitly a reason to be excited about the new trailer! We may found out more things about the game play, and how the story REALLY begins. If anything, I only know what happens after they become l'Cie's.
 
3 years??? Man where has this time gone?! Its come round pretty quick. Love the poster and Im not going near the website lol. Im werid like that, its kinda like when you have a loose tooth and you keep poking at it. I know its a mad thing to compare to FF13, but thats how I feel. Im sticking to any news posted here lol.
 
2 days till this exciting trailer gets revealed. Im hoping they reveal a new character or the main bad guy who is the leader of the sanctum. Also do you guys think Jihl Nabaat and Yaag Rosch will have 3 forms each or something? I want to know more about Jihl!
 
I've come to the conclusion that I'm not going to watch anymore trailers. I've already watched one. I think I want to make the game as new and exciting to me as it can be when I get it. I did not know anything about the other FF's that I've played. Except maybe a few character names. I think I'm going to keep it a surprise for now. I definitely understand the want to watch this one that's coming though. I'm just going to refrain.
 
this game is looking pretty good , i saw those 40 screenshots and i must say i never really liked any of enix's work but ill pass on this , it looks great although the new chocobos i do not like , theyre just ugly , they looked great in 10!! why not just keep those ones. btw is this game for ps3 only or multiplatform??
 
Omg I guessed right Oerba Yun Fang is a backstabber! xD. I guessed right I guessed riht hehe. Omg I love the new trailer. Best trailer EVER EVER EVER! 3 new characters who Im guessing are the main bad guys. The Priest is the main bad uy Im guessing. Also Vanilles new summon is in this trailer. Lightning oh how much I like her its unbelievable. Omg OMG OM OMG OMG!!!!!!! I can not wait! This trailer is full of awesomeness. Its NUMBER 1 I TELL YOU NUMBER 1!!!!!!!
