Final Fantasy interpretation.

Humor site cracked.com has an amusing read on Final Fantasy. I'm pretty sure it's meant to be taken tounge-in-cheek. Snippits:

Games in the Final Fantasy series are somewhat diverse, but tend to be about a band of adventurers led by an effeminate male who seek to overthrow a corrupt overlord, only to discover that the real problem is an insane time-traveling sorceress, or that the planet is leaking life energy, or something similarly left field. Then everyone goes off and fights a big epic battle in space. It's always in space.

The world of Final Fantasy is evocative of the honor and chivalry of the Revolutionary War, before people realized that marching in single file and playing loud music was perhaps not the best battle strategy. On the other hand, perhaps a world where a vicious flesh-eating skeletal dragon follows up a exhalation of necrotic vapors with "okay, your turn" is just plain more civilized than we can ever aspire to.

Yeah cracked is pretty hilarious, I quite like that article for a laugh as it raises some pretty vaild points without being malicious. The diagrams kill me too.

Humor is one of the best ways of pointing things out, in this case about the uniformity of the FF's. It is funny and accurate.

A fun read, I agree. The part that cracked me up the most was when they had a picture of Cid from FF6 and the caption said "You probably shouldn't go home with this man".

I liked the part about not doing the victory dance after every battle to speed things up And I remember the Robot Chicken video that's no longer available, I saw it on TV and it was side-splittingly funny, it was the one where some of the characters from VII worked in a fast food place I remember Barret being especially funny in it.
