I am replaying ff9 and i hear there is a way to stat max???? How is that possible?????

The very simple answer to this is: level up. Train your characters to the maximum level and your stats can't actually go any higher than that. There's nothing more elaborate than that, I'm afraid.

Train in Memoria for some of the better EXP giving enemies as well as Oilvert or however it's spelled I hear.

It will probably take you quite some time, but if it's your main goal, I'm guessing you'll be willing to put in the numerous hours to get max stats for your crew.

Nah, totally wrong dudes :D It's one of the most complicated stat maxing in FF history. Actually, you have to reload your game all the time to get maximum possible stat boost as well you have to be pretty much lvl 1 with everyone besides Zidane til 3CD where you can get right items to lvl up. Anyway, the main deal is that you have to wear stat boosting items while you get lvl ups. That way you will get extra stats :) But to get maximum possible, read some guides. Good luck with trying it ( BTW! Maximum stat build is like 3x more powerful than normal max lvl)

There is away to do this but its not official or virtuose what you need is a an Action replay max to gain access to the best FFIX cheats even when you achieve max stats this way as soon as you switch any peice of equipment it disappears to the default stats

getting to disc3 in ffix without leveling up anyone is one of the most difficult things you can do....who likes challenges should definitely try it, its definitely harder than getting excalibur II. also training marcus to lvl 100 is a nice trick to get eiko even more extra stats:)

What do you mean?

How does that help you at all? xD

I've never come across any such item...and I've 100% the game. xD

Again, not following what you mean by this. xD

I forgot to mention learning the Level Up ability, which helps a lot.

items give +1/+2/etc extra stats when worn, through some complicated formulas, they add you stats if you wear them while leveling up. so if you level up with items that give you strenght, you get extra stats to strenght.
items that add more stats come in the end, so keeping character low lvl till you get the best items possible is how you abuse the system most.

if i remember correctly, maximum stats for spirit is 47, and rest are 99.
you start off with like 20 stats, so the bonus stats are hard to notice if you play the game normally.

Actually, maximum spirit is 50 :)

Now about your questions:
First answer, you have to reload your game much as sometimes getting level up doesn't give you the boost given by items. Also being a low lvl means a lot of dying.

2nd was already answered by Luv

3rd one ... never found item that gives +1 str or something huh? ... seems like you don't use select button to see the information of item or something, as power gloves and stuff like that give you stat boost. Even one of the first hats gives some spirit boost.

4th. I mean that the damage difference is quite huge when you have different stats. For ex. having 50 magic you will deal like 4000 with certain spell. Having 90 magic, you might deal 9999 damage with the same spell :D

Hope you found your answers. It's quite complicated, so to fully understand the system, you should check some walktroughs.

When you said "stat boosting items" I presumed you meant items that gave you X stat +50 or more, really...not 1 or 2. xD

In any case, I was unaware that the stat increase was cumulative - I thought it only lasted until you unequipped that item. I suppose I never noticed its effects - I always put the increasing stats down to levelling alone.
