I saw this the other day, I thought it was really well filmed in general :) The only problem I had was Barret and Tifa running past, that would mean they went from that bridge and down to the church before Cloud fell which by the way would be faster than running down.

Besides that Barret has a stupidly small arm and a massive gun prop for his hand, needed to be that tad bit smaller. Otherwise it was really good and I hope that this gets where it wants to go. It reminds me of Metal Gear Solid: Philanthropy which was as well made by Italians and later dubbed in english.

Yer well if they get the funding they need for it then who knows what they'll change it into. I think it was pretty special effects assisted in getting the look of the church.

Well let's hope it makes it and we'll see their passion for Final Fantasy VII :P

It looks great to me. Most of the negative posters (well, it is YouTube so I'm not surprised) are just whining over simple things. For example, Aeris' appearance. She looks fine to me. In fact, I like it just as much with her as an average-looking girl. The fact is, characters don't translate well from cartoon art anatomically, and if it was realistic, not everyone's going to look like a model. Also, some people seem annoyed by the characters' races, which seems similar to some of the complaints about Philanthropy. For goodness' sake, not every actor should look North American. In Advent Children the characters look more East Asian than western, so they may as well complain that the actors aren't Japanese. (Well, aside from Barret, of course. They may as well give Mr T a call.) And things like props can be changed when they evaluate the feedback they're getting. It's only a short trailer.

You know what Square-Enix is like, though. Some of the biggest killjoys on the planet. Whilst Hideo Kojima of Konami gave the makers of Philanthropy his regards, I can only expect the makers of this will get a Cease & Desist letter from Square-Enix, sadly.

Hmm, I will definitely be keeping an eye out for this! Looks like it will be easily the best Final Fantasy fan film made to date. I do wish they'd make Barret's arm more reasonable though...the prop is waaayy too big and doesn't look like it's fused onto his arm at all. Kind of killed the effect with everything else being so good. I don't really care about story inconsistencies in the trailer, since after all it was just supposed to tease the story and present the characters. I'd imagine for the full film the scene won't play out like that, but I could be wrong.
