hello
ever since i started playing FFX i fell deeply in love with this story, the FFX and FFX2 games are simply... the best games i have EVER played, never had as much joy in playing it, the music is awesome, the story is touchy... the perfect game for me
but i got wondering... has anybody got an idea if there will be a third version of this story?

i really love the characters, lore and all here...
i haven't really played any other FF games to be honest... i did start with FFIII if i'm not mistaken, however i got pretty sick of it quickly, which i now regret ofcourse

i also played the MMO, but i pretty much prefer the singleplayer games

if they haven't said anything about it yet, which i actually assume they didn't, then it's fine
however i hope there comes more of this...

also, give me some feedback if you would like to have a third FFX, or not...

sorry if i come over as a noob... thanks to the bad start in the first FF i played i lost intrest and only really started out at FFX

EDIT: also very sorry if i might have posted in the wrong forum, but since this is the first part of the serie, i thought it might fit best here

I get you dude, I definately feel the same way. the music, story, characters, everything was close to perfect. however, 10-2 was at the limit of my dislike, only thing I didn't like was the music, it was crappy and the characters. OMG where are their clothes?!@*!!!^*@!!!! so I believe ffX-3 would only ruin the reputation. besides square got their hands full with stuff, and they better make kingdom hearts 3 in time!
 
I would love a third version, but I don't think many else would want it. I can't really think of one. But I do remember making a Role Play on another forum following the events of X-2 and there being a War of the Races. It was a war to decide who was the dominant race of Spira.
 
^ Seeing as the whole of FFX-2 at the end of the game was based on everyone treating each other as equals, I wouldn't think that a very good idea - all of Yuna's hard work would be completely useless, thrown away.

Ye cannot create a third game, unless it was more of a prequel to X, feat. Braska and co.

as far as im concerned they can make as many final fantasy, final fantasy spin offs, sequels, and the like, as thet possibly can!
 
Like X-2 needs any raping of the storyline. That game was worthless. This reminds me of a moment with STL. *leaves to create the "good and bad game" thread.
 
Final Fantasy games don't need sequels/prequels. I personally thought X was fine the way it was. It had an emotional ending. X-2 comes along and Yuna seems to have sold her brain for skimpy clothes.

What would X-3 be about anyway?

I just hope Final Fantasy doesn't become like Disney where every game has a crappy sequel.
 
I don't know why they would make another FFX sequel, they have already completely ruined the the story of FFX with X-2, why screw it up more? To sum up please, oh please don't let square make X-3.
 
I'd rather not have another FFX story after X-2 it put me off the story entirely and i must say that if they put shuyin as the main character in the first place it would've been alot more interesting unless X-3 had shuyin as the character i would go with no never again another FFX sequel
 
i would like a ffx3 only if it isn't trained on yuna and only on tidus!!! jeez, who dropped the ball on that one? i totally didn't support ffx2 for that reason alone. I loved tidus, auron, wakka, khimari, lulu, rikku, and yuna together, in one story, not what happens after all that. One thing that kept ffx so good was the fact that it was based not only on love, but on chaos, and the theory of planetary existence. can't we just keep it real, folks?
 
FF X-2 overall sucked. X-3 big no no!!! I suggest playing earleir FF's than X, its good but not the best.
 
FFX: BRILLIANT GAME! OMG, it was as if God had made a game just for the soul purpose of living JUST to get it! BRILLIANT graphics, BRILLIANT musics, BRILLIANT storyline!

FFX2: I agree with Rydia. In FFX, Yuna HAD a brain so either she must have sold it for clothes or she sunk into such of a depression over Tidus that she turned into a Barbie Girl. A few of the songs were ok and I like the ATB battle system better then the turn based FFX but THAT was IT. Who the hell changes clothes in front of fiends and enemies? Ok, so some of the clothes WERE kinda pretty but besides that, HUH?!

Personally I don't think they should have done FFX2 let alone an FFX3 ALTHOUGH, I think it would be a pretty good idea to do a prequel, you know, a Braska, Auron and Jecht story but that's just me. X3
 
Another prequel to FFX would be anything but Good.. Cause the storyline ended at FFX-2 the only reason FFX had a prequel is cause, everyone wanted to know what happen to Tidus in the end of FFX.. So if they made a Prequel to FFX-2 there would be no real storyline..

ffx-3?? but i havent finished x2 yet,,, i got stock bcoz of my disc error... an x3 what would be the story.... the gang got themselves trap a the time compression and end up in the slums?:D peace
 
I think FFX-3 would be awesome if it was about Tidus's father getting thrown into the future, and that whole story with Auron and Yuna's father. That would so make up for the crap they put us through with X-2.
 
This story should have been:

*Starting 1,000 years ago in the booming city of Zanarkand, a war is unleashed between the great city and Bevelle the holy city. I would love to see the start of it back then, when Yevon decided to become the shell of Sin, and the people of Zanarkand turned themselves into the Fayth, dreaming up a Dream Zanarkand.

I'd love to see Yunalesca and her husband Zion on their pilgrimages and the events that occured between then and the time Braska took on his shoulders to face Sin. Traveling with Braska throughout Spira with an Auron who was still young and powerful, but quick to jump the gun.

I want to see a star blitzball player named Jecht play in a packed stadium full of sports fans as he dazzles them with his abilities in the water-filled sphere. Then seeing as Jecht's life is instantly transformed as he is wooshed into Spira, thrown in Prison, and accompanies Jecht and Braska on their way to bringing the Calm to Spira.

I want to see the epic fight between Yunalesca and Auron which led to the death of our mighty warrior, but the persistance of his character to fulfill a promise to his friend Braska that he would watch out for Yuna as she grew. Also the guardianship and monitoring Auron partakes in as he watches Tidus grow up over the years until it is his turn to follow in his father's footsteps (no matter how much he would hate to admit it) and evenutally save all of Spira.

That's the game I woulda wanted.
