Anyone who is currently playing this game or has completed it, I'm stuck right now on this boss/bad guy underwater. I was just on the Shupuff (however it's spelt?!) and then there is a sudden attack from the Al Bhed and they kidnap Yuna and you gotta fight this machine thing underwater. What I wanna know is, how do you kill it with Tidus and Wakka? what makes it weak? what method or form of attack is the best on it and takes down most energy? I tried Wakka's Silence and dark attacks, but it said they were Immune on this bad guy and with Tidus I have just been doing normal sword attacks. Help! If someone can give me some advice on how to beat this thing, would be greatly appreciated!

Casting Haste and Cheer will be useful, though you really shouldn't be losing to this kind of boss; a couple of regular hits should cancel out its Depth Charges, and its normal attacks aren't anything to write home about.

Basically, you're underpowered. I strongly recommend spending anywhere up to an hour beefing up around the Moonflow.

First cast Haste on Tidus and Wakka at the beginning. You should be able to survive the boss's Aqua Shooter attack easily - if not you may need to power up Tidus and Wakka a bit more.

Lightning attacks should be useful. If you have any, spam them before it uses its big attack.

Okies, thanks for the advice. I'm gonna go back to it now and see what I can do and do some of the stuff you mentioned. I have been going around trying to upgrade my characters though and buy stronger weapons etc.
Oh well, I'll figure it out.

BTW, when you're attacked by its special, use Eye Drops or Remedy as it inflicts Dark/Blind >_>

If you get the chance, you Wakka's overdrive and try to line up lightning. It will do good damage to the boss. Also, do the above, especially cheer. It helps to cancel out Depth Charges with powering up your attacks. There should be a command that helps you with the battle, I think :hmmm:

The brotherhood is not a good weapon to use if you are using it. It does relatively low damage. Hope this helps :monster:

Thanks for all the advice guys :) I just defeated it! I guess it wasn't as hard as It seemed to be at first but I did everything that you had mentioned and it worked all good :) Ohh Wakka's overdrive is like a gambling or fruit machine thing right? where you have to line up the things in order of the same colour? grrr I tend to suck at that, didn't work too well this time, meh :( But I still beat it, so that's what matters!
