I would strongly advise Lightning elemental magic used A LOT as well as Quezacotl, also using Protect and Shell (I believe you can draw them) would help to minimise damage, then just keep HP up with cure spells or potions, depending which you have more of. If you can, junction Thunder/Thundara/Thundaga to whoever has Elem-Atk Junction slots.

If Quezacotl has Boost it will help you beat him easier as well :hmmm:

Lightning magic. Quezacoatl works quite well on it if I recall correctly. I can't really think of any particular strategy besides spam Quezacoatl and keep your party's HP levels up. Is there a particular attack that's getting you or just his regular attacks?

As well as all the above advice (you need to use lightning), take advantage of the limit breaks you have at your disposal.

Selphie will undoubtedly be in your party, so you can try to access her Wall (though that can be very touch & go, it will help you a lot).

If you have Irvine, use AP ammo (assuming you have some).

And if you have Rinoa, Invincible Moon can save you. You'd better have this trick learned!

You'll have to have at least one of those characters in your party, so it just depends on who you picked.
(Hopefully you chose to let Rinoa go with Squall though, won't give away why.)

Other than that, I would strongly suggest casting haste and protect on all your party members.

If you got Diablos to learn Darkside, make sure that you're using it as an insane level of damage output and junctioning the best magic you have to your character with the most base strength.

The game is all about refining your items for magic and stacking as much of multiple kinds of magic as you can.

As a machine BGH251F2 (thats the giant blue [tank] you're fighting) is weak to thunder, water, and earth damage. You can use the Brothers or Quezacoatl as GFs or junction Water, Quake, or a Thund- spell to Elem-Atk. However, I think that thunder element deals a higher percentage boost of damage. Like 20% over the other two, maybe 30%.

All of its attacks are physical so you only need to use Protect on your party. A good idea is to have one member cast double on another who either has Protect stocked or can draw it. Then double cast Protect onto your party. You will still need to heal of course so make sure to have those spells handy.

And as a warning, once you destroy the tank, an Elite Soldier and two Galbadian Soldiers come out to finish the fight. Not too big a problem but if you're having trouble with BGH251F2 then they might kill you off or you could run out of time.

Other than casting Protect, there's nothing else you can do defense wise.

Quistis - Use Electrocute Limit Break (comes from coral fragment)

Irvine - Use Demolition or AP ammo if you have either.

Zell - Just make sure you have him with Elem-Atk

Limit Break will do..
Just use strong limit breaks
If you can grind your characters level higher than what you are now, the better, dont forget to junction those attacks
