I'm am trying to get a perfect game and to achieve that I can only encoutner
X-ATM092 two times...the first time escape then the second time only... and
I must defeat him in the second time the guy who posted the walkthrough said he
had 5072-5872 HP
I keep using Renzokuken wit Squall and do about 600-700 damage w/ that and about 1400
damage wit Quezacoltj ...it says he is repairing 20%,40%,60%,etc. so is that HP that he is gaining
bac or what

And he also said:
You should only avoid fighting it if you're doing a Perfect Game,
however, because the AP is well worth the slight drop in your SeeD Ranking.

And:
If you're doing a perfect game you unfortunately can not fight X-ATM092 over and
over again to keep gaining 50 AP. You are only allowed to escape the very first
time, and should you encounter it again, you must destroy it. You can destroy it
in any fight except the very first.

SO what exactly should i do to get a perfect game

Here is the site w/ the walkthrough:

I think I know your meaning, I never bothered trying to beat the X-ATM092, I think what he means is that if you get caught by him more than two times your SeeD rank will go down, and it's best to kill him to avoid the third time. So, I would choose the fleeing option, I think it would be much easier to simply run away from him and try to not let him catch you. I know there is a way of running from him every time except where he follows you down the path where you fight the Anaconduars.
Go through that bit of the game a few times and learn his route if you're that adamant on getting a perfect game, but, you could always do the SeeD tests to raise your rank later, so it's not that bad. I would not bother trying to kill him.
Hope that helped.:gasp:

Yeah I got tired of trying to kill him so I tried figthing him the one time you have to and just running all the other times...it's not that hard if you follow the exact directions

it doesn't really matter how much damage you do to it. you must make him fall and repair ....5 times i think....never counted.....anyway only after that he dies. killing him while he is repairing himself is just a waste of time, especially with GF's, as he doesnt have some overall HP that you can deplete to kill him. so just Renzokuken his arse....and when hes repairing, have renzokuken ready and attack when he gets up again.
and for some reason i remember that...you can only kill it on the bridge...and only if you didnt fight it anywhere except the first forced battle....i may be wrong though

If you want to kill XATMO you need to level your GFs A LOT, get it so Quezacotl can do about 3000/4000 damage in one go to it, by that time Shiva and ifrit should deal 1000 odd each which in a barrage should kill it in no time (combine with boost for even more damage) However this all depends on where you power up characters, if you want to renzokuken it, same process but with limit breaks instead (Zell can do great here if you're fast on the button presses). Alternatively if you're lucky you can just get Selphie's limit spell 'the end' (this is REALLY rare so I wouldn't rely on it too much).

Hope that's not too confusing :gasp:

Destroying it gives you 100 Bonus Points, which more than makes up for the points deduced for the time taken to do so.

You tend to average out on points, what you miss for escaping, you get back for kiling spider dude. For a perfect game, Id say you should kill the spider, unless you plan on making it to the dock in less than 5 minutes, Ive never managed that -__-

Did kill the spider once though, I think Igot him on the bridge though, and once he has self repaired4/5 times, he won't anymore, you just need to keep an eye on the time, make sure someone has a good relationship with Quezy and stock the others up with Thunders
