Age: 21
Affiliation: Marine
Rank:
Specialty: Marksman.
Appearance: Cold glazed over eyes that have seen many a horrific act during his time as an ODST. Six foot in height and no taller, he weighs in at the average for a man of his size and age, he has a toned body due to his harsh training he went through to reach his spot as an ODST. He has a scar reaching across his left eye to his bottom lip due to his a malfunction with his drop pod during his first mission causing him to come in to hard enough to shatter the reinforced glass which protected him.
Weapon: SRS 99D Anti Material Sniper Rifle,M7S Caseless SMG

Personality: Off of the battle field and on he is two separate people. On the battlefield he is a cold heartless killer who won’t stop till he completes his mission. Off the battlefield he is always up for a laugh.
Brief History: Train has always lived in a highly militarised family with both his parents being marines during the Great War, at the age of 15 he came home one day to find a note informing him that both his parents dropships had been shot down on a mission.
Train from that day forth vowed to avenge his parents untimely deaths, and joined the UNSC without a second glance. From that time he trained himself to one day be as good as has father was with a sniper rifle. He trained for years and one day he was finally picked to serve in active duty.
During that mission his squad came under heavy fire from a squad of hunters, seeing a sniper rifle lying beside a downed squad mate he took up a point above the squad of hunters and decided to give his training some field testing.
He held his breath squeezed the trigger gently and the first hunter fell at the others feet. Train let out a sigh of relief and yelled to the others to begin to fall back.
During that mission he saved several team mates lives and was selected to take up a place as an ODST marksman.

I've played the game as well. If we end up seperating, your character is going to be tough enough to last for a time against the covenant. Though not as long as say the Master Chief, they'll last a hell of a lot longer then any normal marine.

If Tipsy is going off the game, you better be skilled enough to work alone for along time. Especially the rookie, unless Tipsy has someone else to do that part :hmmm:

Can't wait to start RPing Tipsy!

Sorry crimson, but all ODST positions are full as we are limited to a squad.

If you still wish to play, you can join as a marine or as a convenant. As a marine, the bio is the same, but the rank has to be below 2nd lieutenant. If convenant, tell me which race and ill give you a bio. Do remember the difference between an ODST and a marine.

And silver, its more or less like the game in a sense. And do you wish to be a one of the longer term member of my squad?

Wait...what is the difference? As a nonplayer of the game, I really don't know :hmmm:

Yeah sure. It would make much more sense for all of the higher rankings to know each other Tipsy.

XD We actually need some marines, otherwise we'll have way too many NPCs.

If we're going to follow the game, then that means i get to blow something up. XD Happy day.

Do i get the tank or the warthog? Just curious.

Well, the difference would be ODST are an all volunteer unit. They offer you a position and you have the right to refuse. YOu go in via a drop pod right into, usually, enemy lines. You perform dangerous missions and if you put it in list of proficiency in combat, it will be Spartan II, ODST, Marines. Ill explain it in more depth in a later post.

@ Shadow: Depends. Usually its mongoose and the occasional transport worthog. Cant have us totally pwning everyone can we now? Just cross your fingers.

What is happening in the Halo Universe.

Its been roughly 30 years since first contact with the Covenant and a war has been raging ever since. Humans are losing badly as they're fleet of ships are superior than ours. Ground engagements are more even, however, in the era of the war, control of ground mattered little anymore. A complete victory on ground means little as the Covenants have made it their M.O to glass the planet by burning off the atmosphere and the ground through their plasma weapon, almost literally turning the surface into glass. With no one in space to stop the covenant fleet, human planets fall one by one.

In 2552, the planet Reach was glassed. The planet was the hub for the human military and the last wall between the covenant and Earth. Even worse, due to a freak coincidence, one of the covenant leader, the Prophet of Regret, jumped into the immediate space of Earth with his fleet, initiating the beginning of the Battle of Earth. Despite the tight bombardment of the Orbital MAC stations, several ships slipped by into the atmosphere, where they were immediately engaged with ground forces.

When is this going to start? Or did you already tell us? I'm getting antsy lol

im seeing if Jimmy would post. He could come in later i guess as he is non essential for story line. ill start soon when im uncapped. Plus Uni starts on the second. ill find time soon.

well, jimmy is taking his time, so ill start now. He can jump in a bit later.

Edit: Okay, i lied. I cant get it started today. Lost inspiration for the opening when i went out. ill start within the next few days though.

Well, I still have this one question. In the game, opponents fell after a few shots, so will it take multiple shots to take out our enemy? Or will it be getting them down in a single blow, including us falling with a lethal blow as well?

Well, we will be playing by realism. We can take a few hits, but since we dont have shields, anything over a short burst will go through the armour. Three or four shots and the ablative coatings would hold.

As for the enemy, grunts go down easily. A nice head shot would bring it down. Jackals, a bit harder with a few more shots (like around four) while elites and brutes take quite a bit of damage.

Though Jackals depend though on whether or not they are packing those shield gauntlets. But they go down like grunts though if they don't have them active. (Advantage would be lost should they have something with range on them though)
