Favourite part of the game

i like the movie sequence where the dragons come out of memoria and you have the invincible, the red rose and the hilda garde 3 a truly outsatnding scene however i am also think that the scene when Garnet/Dagger and Eiko summon the holy eidolon alexander which complete ruins bahamut

I really liked going to the different cities and watching the ATEs, especially Treno and Dali. I also liked the whole sequence of events in Madain Sari with Eiko cooking and the moogles. I just found that whole thing funny for some strange reason. :gasp:

Now that i replayed the game in last few weeks i have to say that i love everything in this game:)Still some places, things are cooler and better then others but overall this game is super ;)I have played that game so much that action times arent my favourites anymore so i love most peaceful times in Dali and Treno. Also beign in Mages Village and weddings.

Every time Vivi tripped. In Dali when you can make Steiner stab the crate. I think Steiner was hilarious throughout. Seeing that fat bitch Brahne wobble was definitely a highlight. Conde Petit and the dwarves just because they sparked a debate between myself and a friend as to whether they were supposed to be Scottish - I defy anyone who says they weren't just because they sound like quite a few people that go about Aberdeen.:D Only a few parts of the game were boring and some parts you pick up on as you replay. The "tinkle" moment was a bit too strange for me, why would anyone want to think of Vivi like that? -__-

I have 3 favourite scenes:

1. Probaly the whole "You are not Alone" scene, where Zidane finds out he's a Genome. I think it was mainly the music that made it one of my favourite...

2. The moment between Zidane and Vivi at Maiden Sari mildly disturbed me but made me laugh...so...I guess that is probaly my favourite humourous scene.

3. The scene where you are trying to enter Memoria, but the dragons come out of the entrance and try to stop you from entering, but then Hilda Garde III and the Red Rose come along to help. That scene I enjoyed mainly because of the FMV sequence.

The scene that really did it for me in FFIX was the part where Zidane learns WHAT he is exactly. The depression that follows, and then is succeeded by all his friends helping him get through it, along with that kickass music. Well that was just awesome =D

Gotta say that my favorite part is the town where you get eiko (Can't rember the name :S:S) I like those humoristic scenes there ^^ And the part after the town is sweet too ;D

I like the fight between Alexander and Bahamut. The graphics were great! :)

I found it strange that a mobile mecha-type thing can randomly sprout wings and yet never uses them. It would be cool if Alexander could be ridden around on like the Garden in FFVIII. :P

The whole introduction of Garland, and related scenes in Pandaemonium. Quite possibly [although relatively un-challenging] one of my favourite locations of any FF game I've played to date, and the music works perfectly with the setting.

May sound cheesy... but the final FMV.
When Zidane goes back to rescue Kuja, then you think oh dear. That's that. R.I.P.

Then it goes to Alexandria, and the play is being watched by everyone.
Zidane rips of a cloak or summat (haven't played in ages) and is like:
"Bring me my Dagger!"
I think he says that. Was epic, Garnet's like wooooop and all emotional
Everyone is so happy :)

I would probably say my favourite part wasn't a scene, it would have to be Zidanes first fight against Baku, when he has the Blue Dragon head on, I think he's amazing.

Aw, there were so many good parts! I loved when Zidane found out where he was from; when Vivi learnt about the Black Mages; Eiko and her love letter e.t.c :)

My favourite part was the whole sword fight scene at the beginning of the game :D It twas awesome and I always manage to get 100/100 :D

There are way too many to pick a favourite, but I really loved the more peaceful times. When I replay it, I love starting again and just revisiting the parts of the game that weren't filled with death and despair; such as the Alexandria, Dali, Madain Sari, Alexandria (love letter scenario). These times just make me feel or warm and happy. I think IX is the Final Fantasy game that made me feel this most.

Anything with Vivi.

I liked Freya and Zidane's little conversations as well, made me wonder how exactly they got to meet.

And the ending was just lovely

I loved the bit when Beatrrix finds that letter and thinks its from Steiner, and then when they are fighting in Alexandria after its destruction, it's just like....awww

That 'tinkle tinkle' bit just made me go lolWOT?! And Eiko was just ''....''

The bit when Quina gets fished from the sea amuses me no end

Oh, although my favouirite part would have to be when Alexandria gets flattened by Bahamut and then Zidane runs up to rescue Garnet <3

You hit the nail on the head, dude. This is exactly the same way I feel. My favorite in specific is the whole part of the story taking place in the small Village of Dali on the first disc. I love the background music, the aura of peace and calm, and I even like the ending bits such as going underground to find the black mage factory and having to fight Black Waltz number 2 before flying off. Man, everytime I think of the Village of Dali chapter, I get all warm inside, and wonder 'Why don't I live there?'

OH man, i thought i was the only one you felt this way about places, espeacially Dali. I love when you enter Dali and its all nice and peaceful. I love just walking around and talking to people. Love dali. Also other places, are nice too. :highfive:

I agree in that I like the quieter locations, not just in FFIX but in all the FF games (for instance, Winhill in FFVIII). Madain Sari was a great example in FFIX. I tended to find Dali more strangely sinister than anything else though - when they wondered why there were no adults around, I started getting images of Children of the Corn for a second XD

But yeah, the quiet places are always endearing.

Indeed, it just seems like such a quaint place to live. As you say, the music is lovely, and one of my favourite tracks on the OST. Even the sinister, underground, section wasn't so bad. The music was very conspiracy and provided a sense of mystery. It was a part that was more about discovery than evil and destruction. Another that made me feel like Dali was the at the beginning in Alexandria when Vivi's Theme is playing. It's just so beautiful. IX had so much charm and definately made me feel the most snug. My fav of the series.
