What are some of your favorite memorable quotes from any FF?



There are a few that have stuck with me for a while such as:

"As long as you don't get your hopes up, you can take anything...
You feel less pain." -Squall, VIII.

"Whatever you do, don't fall into a time warp!" -Quistis, VIII. (If taken out of context it just makes no sense, dunno why I remember this one at all..)

"I'm only here to see how the story unfolds. Any self-respecting leading man would do the same." -Balthier, XII.

"Princess! No need to worry. I hope you haven't forgotten my role in this little story. I'm the leading man. You know what they say about the leading man. He never dies." -Balthier, XII, (anything he says, really, is awesome. ^^)

Those are the most recent ones I have played so I it is no wonder I remember only lines from them...

Not really awe inspiring, I just thought it was a particularly good piece of voice acting, you could tell there was emotion behind it :)

KandySugar -- I love you so much for remembering that hyperactive "I wanna be a blitzball" kid in Kilika. It was stumbling across lines like that which made my insane drive to compile the FFX script worth it. :)


But my favorites:

Lulu: I hope you hurt them.

Auron: Legendary Guardian? I was just a boy. I tried to changed the world. But I changed nothing. That is my story.

Auron [To Yuna]: You're a poor liar.

but most of all, I have to give credit to the line which got me hooked on Final Fantasy games:

Squall: I had a terrible nightmare. I dreamed I was a moron.


(It's funny, I kept thinking of quotes from the bad titles in that bootleg Final Fantasy X when I was trying to remember quotes — "Fufufufufu!" and "Twirl of death!" came to mind.)
 
Mine would have to be from FFVI.

When Locke is about to leave for South Figaro, he says to Terra at the end:
".....And watch out for acertain lecherous young king who shall remain nameless. The guy moves in like a hawk!"
and ".....Well, he's always been a bit rash..."

There are just so many...

Well, pretty much every line in FFVII was funny that one time I decided to name EVERY character in the game "Fucker". ...At first.

FFVIII:
This is great...I have a Chicken-wuss and a guy who just reached puberty in my squad... ~Seifer

I had a dream, too. It wasn't nice though... I dreamt I was a moron...~Squall about his father -_-


Rinoa, call my name... ~Squall (it was just so sweet to hear something like that coming from HIM)

FFX was generally stuffed with lines I thought were clever. Just gonna point out this:
