Ex-skinhead removes face tattoos

A former US skinhead has endured months of painful surgery to remove racist tattoos on his face in the hope of starting his life anew.

Bryon Widner told Associated Press he was beat up a lot when he was younger and misdirected his anger at minorities but later realised the issue was himself.

After 25 surgeries over 16 months, Wilder has now erased the traces of his skinhead past.

Although he suffers from migraines and has pigment damage, Widner said it was a "small price to pay for being human again".

Regardless of the meanings behind the tattoos I'd want them removed anyway.

How many decent jobs would this guy have had in his life? Zilch. Glad he's seen the light for the sake of his kid.

Thats pretty savage. I like tattoos, but would never go as far as covering my whole face just for this reason.

I like tattoos as much as the next guy, but I think I would stop my tattoos as the top of my neck(below chin). Granted I don't have a single tattoo, but still.

But hey, this guy wants to start a new life, then he can go ahead and do that, but now his face just looks butt-ugly.

Looking at this reminds me of this really famous male model that was in Lady Gaga video covered in tattoos. I wonder what he's gonna do later in life xD

On a lighter note, it's nice to hear about someone striving to start over.
