who has heard of and liked this band coz personally i think there an amazing band who make awesum songs and play amazing live oh yea and Amy Lee is absolutely gorjus, also what is your favorite song that they have performed mine is My Immortal its an awesum song
 
This is one of my absolute favorite bands. I saw them in concert a few years ago and was right in front of the stage. It was a 4 band show, starting with Breaking Benjamin, 3 Days Grace, Seether and the Evanescence. That was the time when Shaun from Seether and Amy were dating. I'll have to upload the pictures and show them if you're interested.

Amy Lee has a very awe-inspiring voice and can make you just fall in love with the music all over again, despite how many times you've listened to it. Though I'm a bit disappointed with how she currently is right now. I feel she's letting the fame and stardom go to her head and she's becoming overly confident. It's just sad that the regular members of the band that we've known since Evanescence began so long ago, are gone now and replaced with new people. I'm sure they'll still continue to rock however. They just released a new video to the song Good Enough. It's just gorgeous and so artistically done.
 
I certainly love this band. My favorites songs are My Immortal, Bring Me to Life, Tourniquet, Lithium, and a few more. Their songs are quite unique, and some are almost dark in a way, but that's what I love about them.
 
leki does like evanescene.... but I agree, on how Amy seems to be taking it now? Not so good. Leki likes the earlier realeases, and pretty much hates Close to Home, or whatever it was caled.
 
My boyfriends a die hard fan of them. But when I was in college they were shoved down my throat by my friend who just worshipped them. It was frustrating as thats all she talked about. So I started off not liking them. Then I started to listen to them few months ago and they're alright I guess.
 
I began listening to their stuff a couple of years back, and became hooked! I agree about Amy Lee, hoooootttt! My Immortal and Hello are both amazing songs, but lately they have gone slightly darker...
 
I enjoy many songs by Evanescence. My Immortal, Bring Me To Life, My Last Breath, Broken, Call Me When You're Sober, Imaginary, Going Under, Taking Over Me... ^_^

I didn't get into their music all that long ago but ever since I heard My Immortal, I've enjoyed listening to the older songs. I'm not too keen on the newer ones. I think the album for that was called The Open Door. I disliked most of the tracks on that, sadly. I really liked Call Me When You're Sober. Otherwise...Meh.
 
Am I the only one who things that The Open Door > Fallen?

Lithium, Bring Me To Life, Like You, Sweet Sacrifice, My Immortal and Anything For You are among my favourite songs.
 
I like a bit of Evanescence..."Call Me When Your Sober" is pretty damn brilliant. However, I'd already been into Nightwish for years prior to hearing Evanescence, and they've pretty much had me well and spoiled for that type of atmospheric, female-fronted music. Evanescence is good, but falls rather limp when compared to Nightwish.:cool:

That, and Amy Lee is pretty inconsistent live. Great in the studio, but goes off key pretty frequently live, especially on the most recent tour.
 
Evanescence was the first meatl band I liked. I think they have their own unique style, which I really like. I got all three albums: Fallen, Anywhere But Home and The Open door. Like them all. I have no idea what my fav song is - I like them all!
 
They arent metal, theyre gothic rock.
Thats what I class them asll, but not metal. Not in a 100 years.
 
They arn't that original, theres quite a few bands with similar directions but they've become more well known because everyone, like myself, likes to drool over Amy-Lee and think of the all the horrible, disgusting and maybe nice things we would do to her in a variaty of enviroments.....

Ahem, yeah a few good songs I guess, Bring Me To Life is a tune.
 
I love Evanescence. The Open Door has some of their best songs yet IMO. Good Enough is really pretty, and Call me when your Sober, Sweet Sacrifice and Lacrymosa are all awesome. i do NOT like Lithium though, it kinda annoys me, but oh well.
 
This is one of my favourite bands. Amy has a very nice voice and looks good. I don't like the other members though.
My fav songs are: Missing, My immortal, Everybody's fool, Bring me to live, Call me when you're sober, Sweet Sacrifice and...err....others.:P
 
I think that their newer stuff is better, at least in Amy Lee's case. She has learned a lot more things vocally and is a better singer (don't mind me, I'm a vocal music major). I think her voice is what makes that band one of my favorites. It is very rare you find music where someone is REALLY singing. And I'm talking about operetically, not just singing. She does a lot of things with her voice that most people either won't do or can't do. The newer songs are kind of dark, but they are great to listen to after you've been dumped. =) I am gonna see them in concert next month and I can't wait!!!
