Hah, yeah, my blending does need work. I'm still learning a few ways to do it and working on how to implement them. But thanks :D

Something I'm currently working on. I want my next sig to be more...shiny and pretty :jess:

Any help and advice on things I should do would be appreciated :yay:

(sadly, I didn't do that shiny effect to the render :sad3: It came like that)

Take dos :gasp:

Somewhat final product. I'll do more to it later. Can't think of anything else at the moment.

And 2 hours later, voila

Thinking of doing an avatar out of something next. Not used to working with smaller photos, though. :hmmm:

Ken and I were both going to follow this filter effect tutorial. Here's my try. Complete with blessthefall's font.

Fixed it up a bit by removing the wave square filter. Was kinda bugging me and made it look messy.

Removed the high pass layer as I was told it made it look a bit too sharp.

Definitely the second version. I for one love the High Pass filter, and it makes this sig look more detailed. I won't go on and say anything about the monotone because I quite like the monotone look(I do monotone shades myself. xD). Font for the text is great. Maybe instead of removing the highpass altogether, you could erase some bits - mainly around the focal. It just seems a bit too sharp. But hey, I do sharp pieces too, so yeah. xD

So, uh, overall, it's coo; just needs some trimming here and there. :3

I erased around the focal point back when I just removed the layer so here it is :P

Wow your work is pretty awesome, for someone that hasn't done it for long, where are you getting these tutorials from, I might have a look myself.

Good job! A request may be coming your way soon :)

Yh i wouldnt mind knowing where ur getting the tutorials from i wouldnt mind looking through them as well XD

You should make an awesome effect for the blade of what he is holding. That would be sweet. And I don't really like how the image shows almost the same color scheme of the background. It makes the drop shadow effect for the image seem unnecessary. Maybe just use the original color of the image.

For 3 of them I used tutorials from here: http://www.signaturebar.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=43

And the most recent was a tutorial that Sexy Beast gave me, which I can reupload and post here for anyone that wants to use it :P

I also got a few from http://www.sigtutorials.com/, but most of them I either wasn't interested in doing or was filled with excessive smudging that I really suck at :gasp: And I used a friend's tutorial that he made for my first one with C4Ds.

Ah I see, but seriously. Do something spectacular for a blade to, what I think is, the hilt and handle of a sword. Like some badass lightsaber or something.

Lol. It's a keyblade. I didn't really think about anything else to it. I like it how it is and I'll do more to later things :P I worked on it enough and I don't feel like going back :gasp:

That gives me an idea :gasp: I'll do something with Count Dooku in it or another Sith Lord :P

I told you I would check out your thread at some point :wacky: ...:lew:

What I am going to say is that I like what you have posted. I am no gfxer but I like what appeals to the eye, and what does appeal to the eye is something with good image quality that is crisp and clean looking, with well placed effects and lighting and I think what you've posted has all of those qualities. To me it seems like you prefer to stay on the safe side a bit and not overdo the effects...which keeps everything very balanced...but in my opinion some could still use a few more (effects). Other than that, very nice Ryan.

Yes! That would be the shit.

Heh, yeah :lew: I'll get started on it later after I do a few things.

Thought you'd forgotten :gasp: I don't want to use too many effects, yes, but my more recent ones have a lot more effects than you'd think :P They're just on different layer styles so you can't really tell. Thanks for the feedback :yay:

Okay, haven't done anything since my SOTW entry a few nights ago, and I've been feeling lazy (also need to reply to that debate thing everything is getting so cluttered :gasp:) Tried doing something Count Dooku related as I said above, but the render I had's lightsaber wasn't red enough Dx Was playing around with gradients but couldn't just erase over everything else that I didn't want in it. I'll fiddle with that later. Instead I thought I'd do something with General Grievous. So here's what I got so far. Look! He's swimming :reptar:

Take two. Not done, just looking for some feedback so I can change anything I've already done and add more to it. I like how the filter I used made the lightsaber blades look so I left it like that.

Cleaned it up a bit (border and text gone for now)
