'Be not deceived; God is not mocked, for wahtever a man sows, he will also reap'
I believe this was in Ephesians or specifically Ephesians 5:8, I could be wrong but nevertheless that is a part of my point. Recently, I got an email forwarded to me by a friend who not only told me instances they were individuals who not only mocked God but suffered greatly for it. I know that verse contains multiple meanings to it such as 'whatever you sow, you will reap' or 'what goes around, comes around' but the people who died in horrible ways are kind of examples of this concept especially when you consider the Titanic where millions have died as say this with the highest arrogance, "Not even God can sink this ship'. I know to fear God that is to respect and give reverance to Him but do you believe that God takes thing too personally?
I mean that if we collectively said that God cannot destroy the forums, wouldn't be God's irony if the forums had closed down? I would think so especially when you consider said verse where it states, 'whatever you will sow, you also reap' but do we need that afraid of what God might do to us if we do or say a certain thing wrong? I prefer to think of God as a personal Friend of mine who I can talk all the time and who always be there when I am in danger but our relationship is 'You don't have to be a afraid of Me, just respect Me' but the God that left those individual to those devices where they perished in horrible ways just for saying things with the highest seems kind of cruel. I hope not experience this in my lifetime or suffer an untimely death but still is God that cruel enough to do such things or is this whole just conveniently matched coinicidences that the people died? I hope to understand better from other Christians or from any other religions perspective.
