I recently had the urge to aquire a N64 as i missed out on one as a kid. (i had a ps1) and i was too young to buy a console on my own :P

and i bought donkey kong 64. My best friend when i was young had it. it looked like the coolest game ever.

i cant wait to play it. im just waiting on my expansion pack to arrive :(

Well DK64 was interesting because it became more like Mario64 and it stopped being a platformer...

I didn't think it was THAT great. But I guess I'm just biased because I love the old games. XD Like DKcountry for the snes I thought was a lot more fun than the 64 game.

I've played all the DK games on the SNES,and I also have DK64 on the N64. I'd have to say that DK64 is probably my favorite out of the bunch. Don't get me wrong,I love the SNES Dks also but I enjoyed the 64 one so much more.

You have so many characters to choose from, and specific things in each world are for each one of those characters. They all have their own abilities and musical instruments. Like for example,Tiny can shrink in size and fit in small places,Chunky can become huge,Diddy can fly around on his jetpacks, ect. Also each Kong is color specific so in each area there will be banana's that are the color of each Kong's color.

It's a great game. I love it. There is so much to do and collect. And the final boss battle is awesome and requires you to use each kong and a specific ability of theirs.

Yeah, exploring was definatly a nice factor, plus each level were all unique.
Mod edit: Can you put more effort into your posts in the future. Thank you =)

Anyone still play this game? I just picked it up again today to resume my 100th play through. I've been playing this game since it came out.

I've played Donkey Kong yes but, I don't know if I still own the game :hmmm:

I remember Diddy Kong too. I didn't really like the Banana chick can't member her name) but I did play tho=e game when I was younger. I think my dad has the 64 so, I haven't played it recently no.

Goodness, I LOVE playing DK games, and 64 is among my favs of all time.

My favorite character has always been Diddy, and it was nice to play as DK since his 1994 SNES debut. Lanky and Tiny were okay, and Chunky is just hilarious. :D And K. Rool was too.

Ahh yes, I actually just beat DK64 a few months ago. I think it took me like 17 or 18 hours, and that's with 101% completion. :ryan: I think my fastest time of beating it fully was 13 hours or something. It's still saved on the cartridge! :awesome:

I liked how lankey could stretch his arms to get through the warp gates even if you didnt have enough golden bananas. Also, I hated being small as Tiny, especially in the Lagoon world, I hate that world. My favorites were the time forest, the desert, and the last one, the Haunted mountain world. I did like how you could play the original arcade game.

Ummm yes I have played it and beat it. It was fun. Best donkey kong game in my honest opinion. It was so fun!!!! My favorite was Diddy Kong because his jetpack and double guns. Not a big fan of dk and thats why my fav is Diddy because I don seem to like anyone else but Chunky I guess :wacky: Meh this game was long but now its so short when your not playing it as a kid lol

Yeah, I've had Donkey Kong 64 for a while. It's a fun little game to play through, I especially love the secret where you find the Donkey Kong Arcade and you can play the classic arcade game. It's my favorite arcade game outside of Galaga, Dig Dug and Pole Position. Donkey Kong 64 is pretty fun although my favorite always has been Donkey Kong Country from Super Nintendo.

This is another one like Mario 64. Dad had it when I was a baby and beat it. He has the bragging rights. While I still have this game too, and never got to the end of it. I'm realizing that I just could not finish any games as a child. Hell, I can barely finish a game now. Anyway, I enjoyed it when I played it. It brings back very good memories for me. I did get to at least play as all 5 characters, which was pretty cool to me. XD
