Do you know how to use a washing machine?

My mum always shrinks stuff and dyes stuff in the wash, I guess being useless is hereditary - I only know what 3 settings on my washer do, but Il avoid 60 like the plague unless its towels or bed sheets

My mom does the same thing. And she's notorious for ruining clothing by getting bleach spots all over them. -__-

I do know how to work a washing machine for the most part. The washing machine at my mother's house is fairly easy to work, you basically just set it to wash and it does the rest. The machines in my apartment building are simple too. Set the temperature and put the coins in. Of course, you add the clothes and detergent first. xD

Although, I can't figure out those front loading washers at the laundry mat for the life of me. :gasp:

I have actually never tried. :gasp:

I still live with my parents and they pretty much do all the clothes washing at the same time and include my stuff in it.

So I guess I'll have to say no, I don't. But I can't fully say that as I have never tried it... I might magically know the answer if I went to try it, but I doubt it.

I'd probably struggle and put too much in and break the damn thing... Or a sneaky red t-shirt will wreck a white wash and turn everything pink or something. :ness:

Of course I know how to operate a washing machine.

Mod Edit: can you please put more effort into your posts. Thank you.

I have an idea how to use one, but I can't honestly claim to know how. I've never bothered trying. My dad always does the laundry, so I've never been forced to learn. One of these days I'll figure it out.

I didn't learn how to use the washing machine until I was 21. And that was by choice, because I didn't like the idea of my mom washing a certain rag I keep in my room for those, umm, messy, pleasuring moments.

Also because she doesn't do laundry on consistent basis; she just does it "whenever". So anything I would put in the hamper I might not see for weeks.
