Do you act your age?

Yes and No.
There are parts of my personality that are much more mature than the rest. I'm very organized and goal oriented. You have to be to make it in the world. I do things for myself and my boyfriend like cooking, cleaning the house, doing laundry, washing the dog, collecting receipts, keeping track of finances...And I don't have a bad attitude about doing these things like I might have had when I was 13. I'm actually happy in knowing that I'm helping to "keep our ship afloat".

Butttt there are parts of my personality that are very childish. I'm really naive. I don't see a lot of things that are coming my way. I used to be very selfish; I would cry because I was bored when my boyfriend would go out of his way to take me on vacation. But I can safely say that I have improved my selfish factor 100%. =]

Sort of.

If I want to, I can act twice my age but usually I prefer to be a kid and fuck around and have a childish laugh about nonsensical topics.

When I was younger I thought I HAD to act grown-up. I was fairly up-tight, to be honest. Now I'm more fun, bouncy and a lot happier for it. A result of having friends, maybe. :P I still have my serious moments.

However, when I look at people my age I think I act older... I don't enjoy screaming and chasing people around or getting drunk for a laugh. I never went through a phase where I wanted to drink to get drunk. That's more likely a good thing, but it's just one example of how I sometimes feel there are aspects of my personality that are more grown-up.

Not at all. 1.) I'm a 16 year in my senior class (which, if you might not know, consists mostly of 18 year olds going on 19), 2.) I live in a 3 member household in which my dad works up north in Reno, Nevada, and my mom doesn't get home until 7 at night, and 3.) I rarely go out.

Also...I'm online way too much. :wacky:

All this results in me being somewhat more mature than my age. I barely screw around with pointless jokes, going out with friends and have a 'good time', which apparently to some of the people around my neighborhood means drinking booze and smoking pot. Yes, I live in a bad neighborhood...kind of. Also, I have much more time to reflect on life.

Sometimes I ask other people if I act my age. My closest friends say that I generally act older than my age, but then surprise them with occasional child-like behavior.

When your older you notice things like this about yourself, I'm 22, run my own company, and meet up with people twice my age and have to be serious when a serious moment comes up...(which is a lot)
But when I'm around certain people, I guess it's natural to let go and act a little more relaxed, even if some say its childish, (plays video games really loud)...so I guess depending on the situation, I act as I should. It's just I've trained my personality now to adept to the person or people I'm around, but I keep my values and my opinions always in mind.

I've been told by several people that Cerridwen and I act like we're five years old when we're together >_> I choose to believe that those people are kill joys with dead hearts.

I guess I act my age. I act like a normal college student. I'm pretty responsible...I'm taking 18 credits and have an internship that requires me to walk into town (not fun, I assure you, especially in the freezing cold), and while it sometimes feels like it's killing me, I always get the job done in everything.

ive been told i act alot older than what i am but i just say or do things the way i feel comfortable i dont do it to impress or show off like alot of people wont admit

I don't know.
My personality is a bit like Rikku's:P but when I get serious I act like I'm 30...

Someone define to me what it is to ''act one's age''. I see older folks act like retards all the time, so I don't really mind accepting my humanity as it is.
If being immature and illogical and dramatic in the face of adversity, or even worse, in the face of that which is NORMAL is what it means to act my age, then I think I am doing much better then most folks, by at least realizing the gravity and idiocy of my behaviour.

I want alcohol. Right damn now, Biznatch.

In real life or internet?

In real life I behave a little immature than my age,but there are times I become very serious about something but that mostly depends on my mood.

In internet,I'm serious when I'm around people I do not know(same and in real life).
But when I'm talking to e-friends I make lots of jokes because no one in the internet really judges you since they don't know you really.

Lessee... On the internet... I'm typically rather hyper unless I've had a droll or bad day. I can be serious as well and contribute to large discussions. In real life... I suppose I mostly act older than a really am and a bit more wizened... I always seem to be the person my friends (even my distant friends) seek for advice.

Shoot no. I spent my isolated adolescance acting and being too old for my age, so now I'm catching up. I only feel anywhere from 12-16 usually, though when I'm at work or anywhere else like that, I obviously act like I'm 23 :P

I don't know how 15 year olds are supposed to act...

When it comes to maturity though, I can be very immature, usually with my friends, and just be hyper and giggly etc.
I can also take things seriously when need be, and know the right times to be mature about things.

I think you'll probably find that for a lot of people my age though... so I suppose in a sense I do act my age.

Although I do get very easily amused by silly little things in a childlike way where most people go

heheh

I don't generally act my age, in certain discussions I may act my age but on the whole I act rather immaturely and usually in a constant state of hyperactivity.
