disturbing moments in final fantasy games

In FFX: The most Disturbing part of the game was that when i realized that Tidus dissappeared ... He's my fav character ; d Thank Godness that he came back at the end of FF X-2!

The whole Honey Bee inn scene from VII easily wins most disturbing for me, I mean ew? Group Butt sex with a bunch of burly men? First time I saw the thing I was just like o_O for about 10 minutes and thanked god my mum wasnt in the room at the time because I think she would have been all o_O aswel...Id love to see how they get round that if they ever made a remake. As disturbing as it is though, I pick all the options to make Cloud suffer in there more....Im sick and wrong :gasp:

I think when Kefka starts messing with the three statues and kills Gestahl. I think this really just surprised me because basically the most powerful guy in the game was killed and kicked off the Floating Continent like nothing. That moment just really stood out to me.

yeah that was probably the most disturbing and it was so unexpected. If they did do a remake they probably should keep that part out. I don't want my eyes to bleed 0_0

I actually found the part after that in the Japanese version disturbing. It gave me a really weird feeling, like Kefka was about to do more than kill the Emperor.

The second most disturbing thing I've ever seen in a FF game has to be when Cloud actually agrees to dress up like a woman instead of just charging in. He's just a cross-dresser, he is. :D

First one for me would be in FFT (PS1 version) when Algus killed Teta. I was just so stunned and shocked that he could be so cruel and that such a sweet girl became collateral damage D=

Second would be in FFVII. The CGI scene of the mako monster falling out of that holding tank in the Nibelheim flashback. With the crying out and flaring legs. Still freaks me out >_>

Someone mentioned the mechanical spider in the SeeD Exam back in FFVIII. I admit that the first time around I was really freaked out about it. The damn thing CHASES you. I remember especially the one spot on the bridge where you're running, and the thing friggin's LEAPS OVER you and starts chasing you the otherway. I was scared :gasp:

some disturbing moments for me came in FF IX,
when brahne summoned Odin to destroy Cleyra.
I was heart broken and hate that ugly fat (whatever she was) woman, although I kept calling her a man out of spite.
Then later on she attacks Lindblum (don't remember which came first) but over I was disturbed seeing the giant tree destroyed like that :(

Dah! You spoiled the game for me :(

Oh, and she's a woman who was cursed to be full of greed, If I remember that part well. I just started to play the game :D

But you saying something about a tree being destroyed doesn't sound so disturbing until after I realized that the tree could possible feel or move...does it? :S

oooh crap, I'm sooo sorry and I didn't know...I kinda thought everybody here ended all the old FF games, but trust me there are more and better secrets in the game, and No the tree isn't alive...well you know trees are alive but not the way your saying...it doesn't move

It might be a bit too late but I inserted spoiler tags for you. Please remember to use spoiler tags when you're revealing important plot points in the game. Thanks. :)

I have to say, quite a few of the mentioned points of the FF games are stuff that freaked me out xD

When I first got FF8 I couldn't have been much older than 12 and having that spider chase me just panicked me like crazy, whenever I fought it I was just mashing X so I could get away, quite creepy at that age xD

Also the scene in 4 where Edge's parents were experimented on was really screwed up and I felt for Edge, it's no wonder he went all ragey on Rubicante and wouldn't listen to reason from him :gasp:

FF6 when Kefka poisons Doma Castle really stands out and shows what a monsters Kefka really is, how even though his troops were captured there he still slaughtered everyone in the entire castle with poison.

FF7 Honey Bee Inn when Cloud is in the hot tub with all those men, first time I saw that I was O_O for ages, first thought was 'what the fuck?' then later I wondered how that got in an 11+ tbh :wacky:

FF5 ExDeath voiding loads of different parts of the world, then later on I accidentally went to the final dungeon, that both creeped me out and annoyed me since I didn't have ANY of the Legendary Weapons yet D:

/That's all for now

When I first played FFVII I was like 8/9 years old so I didn't really get that scene until I got older, so I might not be the only one but kids probably don't realise what is really going on, or maybe everyone else has dirty minds :gasp:

Anyway my most disturbing moment... FFVII when you have to go in that cave in Cosmo Canyon just before you face the Gi Tribe boss that door thing makes a twisted face, that freaked me out a bit, well really the whole place freaked me out.

Most disturbing to me:

FFVII:
When Sephiroth killed Aerith
I kept seeing blood although their wasn't any. It was slightly traumatizing for a while and the fact that he killed a playable character made it worse.

FFVII Crisis Core: Zack's death scene. It was the worse sight in my life seeing one of my favorite FF heroes did so injustly. Seeing him filled with bullet holes made me cry. The seeing Cloud come with his face covered in blood made it worse.

FFVII Dirge Of Cerebus: When
Rosso reaches inside Vincent and take out the protomateria
It seemed gross the way she just reached in and took it. She jammed her hand into his chest for Cloud's sake :thehell:

One of the most disturbing moments in the Final Fantasy Series...

FFX: That laughing scene with Tidus and Yuna. Was I the only one who found that a tad bit disturbing? I mean, I know it was suppose to be an adorable, bittersweet moment, but it made me cringe. I still laughed a bit at how awkward the scene was and the reaction of the people around me. Maybe it's only me that feels this way about that scene.:O

And woot~! First post!

FFI -- When you first hear that the prince in Elfheim is cursed with deep slumber. Honestly, how do you feel at the thought of sleeping forever, away from your loved ones?

FFII -- When, despite your best efforts, the Dreadnought is unleashed and kills all those people. Also, when the fake Princess Hilda is revealed to be a Lamia Queen. o.o'

FFIX -- Probably what 300 ripped off of --
When Kuja pushes Garland from the roof of Pandemonium.

FFX -- When Sin kills the people of Kilika. The first time my mom sees me playing this game, this scene was playing. You won't be surprised to hear that she rarely had any interests in Jap games after that.

It is okay, didn't do that much :P

Defiantly disturbed me.:gasp:

I remember when I was a kid and I was doing this part, I was 5-6 years old (Yes, I've been playing FF games since I've been born -- literally.) when I did that part.

It disturbed me then and it continues to disturb me. Why didn't Cloud just bust into that place and just forcefully rescue Tifa instead of playing dress up? :gonk:

You mean a different kind that doesn't just darken the words out? If so, how do I use that one?

For me, the one that really stood out was in X when after Operation Mi'ihen, you find Gatta and he tells you that
Luzzu
was torn in half. That really made my stomach churn. Seeing
Cyan's wife and son
die in VI was awful too, as well as the trail of blood in the Shinra tower in VII. The music there really made it creepy.

Oh, wow! I forgot about Cyan's part in FFVI, that part almost made me cry :gonk:

I didn't even know about that part in X until I recently replayed and went about talking to every single person in the game. And when I did find out, I was very upset about it.

I was angry Tidus didn't do much to repay Sin back. :wtf:

I totally forgot about THAT part. Operation Mi'ihen was, well,
a failure
. But there was always the option of telling Gatta to disobey Luzzu and go in the front lines. If anyone has done that,
then Gatta dies instead of Luzzu
. In his case,
Luzzu just tells you that Gatta was found dead
. Better fate than
being torn in half
, I suppose.

And Terra, I know how you feel about this particular SPOILER tag, so forgive me if I spammed it. x.x

The only thing that comes to mind for me is in VII, the first time
Cloud gives Sephiroth the black materia, mostly because I've never been sure whether Cloud was supposed to be beating the crap out of Aeris, or whether he was just having some sort of seizure. Also, the moment right before she dies where Cloud's raising his sword to chop her in two... That's always a little rough for me, moreso than her actual death. That degree of mind control... Fandom doesn't touch on it much, but I imagine these moments are why Cloud is still torn up over what happened to Aeris in Advent Children.
