I'll just quickly say how AMAZING this game sounds.

you pit every FF character against each other trying to find out more info about the legendary battle between Chaos and Cosmos.

Only , i have a couple of questions;

1) who are Chaos and Cosmos? I'm thinking they're from FF1, but it's been a while since i played them...

2) what was so 'legendary' about their battle??

3) will we find out all FF's are based in the same world/universe

4) will the characters interact and tell each other they were the 'chosen one' etc

there is SO MUCH potential for this game, i just hope Square-Enix dont fluff it up.

anyone agree?

i always thought that all of the final fantasy games existed in the same solar system, they just never interacted with each other's planets.
i'm interested to see how they're going to explain the return of a lot of dead people.
like: all of the bad guys. and they mysterious, disappearing tidus...
what they're all fighting for??
cant really guess on that.

I'll answer your questions best I can,

1. Chaos is the God of Darkness, and Cosmos is a new char who is the Goddess of Light

2. Well we'll probably find out when we play the game.

3. I don't know sorry

4. I saw in the trailer Squall raise his gunblade to the Warrior of Light, which i'm gonna speculate might have something to do with that. So yes, I think so.

And I hope it doesn't turn out to be a horrible game, I hope its not PSP esclusive, I'd like it on the PS3 also!

thanks for answering my Q's. I know what you mean, but i think it'll work out better on the PSP to be honest, the PSP is such an amazing console, i've fell in love with it since it keeps getting amazing games. Its been outselling the Wii and DS recently in Japan (on the weekly sales charts) so it's bound to get some games made for it because it's currently the 'thing to have'.

anyway, Chaos was in FF1, i even made a video of my final battle against him on youtube:

(i have short term memory losss im certain of it)

im gonna go research this , cos the storyline sounds amazing and i dont wanna get confused.

thanks again

Hey no problem dude, I also own a PSP, and I agree its an amazing piece of technology, I saw your video, nicely done! lol

The only reason I wish it wasn't just PSP exlusive is because im a sucker for big screens and high resolution .

Oh you should check out my thread about Dissidia Predictions you might like it.

I have my own question about Dissidia, rather about sources.

Does any one know when Famitsu magazine comes out. It seems to me that a lot of information is given to us by that magazine. I've been a little lazy in my search for Famitsu, but any info would be appreciated.

Hopefully the next issue will show some of the characters revealed at Square's party, especially Kefka.

It'll be more for the 2 player aspect that I would have liked it on a console. As it's going to be very hard, if not impossible to have such on a PSP.
But... If it is to be, then it is to be. I'll still love it on PSP, and I'm realy loving the way this is looking so far now that some characters from 3-6 have been confirmed. :D Well... Now that it looks liek we're getting 2 characters from FF 1-10 this is realy seeming fantastic, and realy representative as well. I was scared a few months back that it was just going to be from the later games apart from Warrior of Light and Garland.

Do you know its says that the world has been created 12 times and the thirtheenth is about to start maybe the twelve other ones are from ffI to ffXII and FF13 and dissidia are on the same world and for every new final fantasy the world is created anew

Hasn't it already been confirmed as PSP-exclusive? So I can't see there being a port to PS3.
Anyway, it looks good. But it'll likely be shit. I'd rather they don't concentrate too much on forcing a story into the game around some mildly pretty cut scenes and a half decent battle system. If it was made like Super Smash Bros. (i.e. a fighting game primarily) with the story fitting around that, it'll make it all that much better. The PSP needs more games that you can easily come back to at any point like that, rather than them being either boringly repetitive, or pointlessly intricate.

Agreed, I want this game to be as pointless to the main numbered series as Kingdom Hearts is. Any explanation provided as to how all the characters from different worlds are able to fight each other should be completely irrelevant to the main series.

I think this game will only be enjoyable to those who see that this is just pure fanservice. I know a lot of the time people care more about the story than the game play, but in this case my prediction is if you don't enjoy the game play then you won't enjoy the game.

With that being said, I am excited about this game, I mean playing as my favorite characters from the whole Final Fantasy series would be great, and it looks like there will be some great FMV'S as well. I just hope that this game doesn't take itself to seriously, I would much rather see it go the way of Super Smash Brothers.

Be back in 30 minutes!
Ahhhh...Cool?
