Hi, i'm new here and I think this is where i'm supposed to post this.
This is some info about the upcoming PSP game.
Dissidia Storyline
Only small details in regard to Dissidia's plot have been revealed since Square Enix Party 2007. In Dissidia, characters from their respective Final Fantasy games are summoned by the the two beings shown in the logo. Cosmos, Goddess of Order, summons heroes to repel the forces of Chaos that have plagued and overtaken Dissidia's universe. Chaos, not to be outdone, has enlisted the aid of villians from the multiple Final Fantasy games. Dissidia is Latin for "to disagree", and is indicative of the game's heroes and villians in conflict. While the creators are trying to include as many memorable characters as they can, it is said that ten heroes and ten villians may appear. In information obtained from Tokyo Game Show 2007, it was said that the world was made twelve times, and was about to be remade for the thirteenth.

Dissidia Gameplay
Straight from the horse's mouth, Square-Enix describes Dissidia : Final Fantasy to be a "dramatic progressive action" title. One could say "dramatic" for the dramatic way the battles transpire, with dialogue and cutscenes interweaved within bouts of gameplay. "Progressive" in that characters will be able to gain experience and levels based on performance in combat. And finally, "Action" to summarize that the game will feature a brawler-esque battle system in which characters have movesets to unleash upon an enemy or enemies. Brawls will take place in fully three-dimensional and destructible envrionments. Players will also be able to buy equipment ( probably with Gil ) to further customize and upgrade their character. Some battle mechanics include: a "HIT POINT" meter we assume for HP or health, a BRAVE meter which is still somewhat of a mystery, and a short and close range toggle which may expand available movesets to accomodate said factors.
Control Schema:
L | Lock On
R | Guard
R + Cross | Dodge
Pad | Camera
Stick | Movement
Triangle | Action
Circle | BRAVE Attack
Cross | Jump
Square | HP Attack / EX Burst
Square + Cross | EX Mode
Notes : Lock On can be toggled on and off with the L button. Holding R down will guard, and pressing X will make the character dodge to evade attacks. The D-Pad will control the camera whilst the Stick is reserved for character movement. Unknown if these can be switched at this time. Triangle is Action, to execute an interactive action like wall-running or environment manipulation. This can only be executed at certain spots with an icon. Circle is a BRAVE attack, which if it connects, will reduce an enemy's BRAVE. Cross ( or X ) is jump. Square is a standard attack that drains HP, and will execute an EX Burst if the character is in EX Mode. Square and cross buttons together enters a character into EX Mode. It is assumed that in this state, powerful "limit" maneuvers can be executed.
