Something about EXburst characters in Dissidia...or some shizz. :wacky:
Translators are crap on FF7AC so I'll let someone else make out the scans. :monster:

This game looks so damn hot, its for PSP right? I just the love the fact that they are finally going to make a good fighting game with final fantasy characters. I dont remember the name but there was the really crappy one for the PS1, and anything could be better than that game.
 
Nice finding Mercurial, too bad we can't get a clear close-up scan to Cloud and Bartz scans, those two are pratically the most interesting ones, as all of them were showed clearly on another scans.

EDIT - You can see Cloud Ex-Burst is Ultima Weapon (same as Tidus "Caladbolg" and Squall's "Lionhart") in the scan above. :neomon:

Um, I'm pretty sure EX-Burst is the name of their special attacks while they're in their EX-Mode form...Anyways, pretty cool scans. Love the big splash of villains v. heroes...Man, that'd make a bitchin poster...

Yeah it's for PSP. And the other fighter game I think you mean is Ehrgiez... It was ok, and it was the closest thing we ever had to an FF fighter in the past, but it wasn't built for such. I think it started off as a random (crap) fighting game and then they added about 4 or 5 FF7 characters in it to boost the sales (which were the only thing making the game good really). Cloud, Tifa, Sephiroth, Zack, Vincent and Yuffie I think were the only FF characters in it (so 6 then.... not 4 or 5).
I liked the other gameplay modes in that, eg racing, beach race, ring race, checker board type game as well... But the gameplay was tricky, and in general it wasn't that good. Fun for a while, but then wore off...

Now THIS. Is a PROPER FF fighting game. This is including a very large cast... Yes I know people complain and want more, that is natural, but still as it is... at least 20 playable Final Fantasy characters, and at least 2 from every game is a MAJOR and AWESOME thing... It's not 6 characters thrown in for cameo's or to boost sales, but 20 characters integral to the game itself.

I'm really looking forward to it.

Yeah it is Ex-Mode that is the forms they become.. Ex-Burst is the special moves. The limit breaks of the games.

Anyways, pretty cool scans. Love the big splash of villains v. heroes...Man, that'd make a bitchin poster...

Agreed! :holyshit: That is a brilliant poster. If they get rid of the numbers (which I'm assuming are only there for magazines purposes) and print them off as proper posters, I wouldn't mind that on my wall... Along side a copy of the Heroes and Villains Dissidia posters.

I wasn't sure if that was Celes or Terra, for the VI character but, given the image of a beast-like creature on the left hand side of the scan that shows the girl, I'm guessing it's Terra and her Esper form. xD

Also, if you look at the scan with Sephiroth and Kefka, there's a picture of something to the right of Sephiroth. I can't tell whether it Bizarro Sephiroth or Kefka, in his morphed appearance, though.

How the heck are these people (both heroes and villains) going to work together? :wacky: Although I saw somewhere a picture of Kuja and Garland fighting over something, God knows what...

Lol, still really looking forward to the game though!
 
The screenshot of Terra's face makes her look a bit like young Madonna. I'm a bit confused as to what Sephiroth's Ex-form is, since the screenshot just shows a close up of him holding his sword.

I think its his One-Winged Angel form.. You can see a black wing (or what looks like one)... Although I swear in the original game this wing was white, but in KH, AC etc it is black.
 
I know her blonde hair is difficult for some, but the costume is a dead giveaway that it's Terra...>_> I know it's near impossible to see, but Terra's Ex-Burst is actually her Desperation Attack (the original Limit Breaks) from FFVI, Riot Blade...

Also, it doesn't show all of Onion Knight's because he can also class change to Sage & use various Sage Magic as his Ex-Burst, not just his Ninja-form Ex-Burst...

  • The Cloud of Darkness transforms into her green "final boss" form

  • Cecil can switch between his Dark Knight and Paladin forms, but not as part of his EX Mode [7]
Final Fantasy V
  • Exdeath transforms into his tree form
Final Fantasy VI
  • Terra transforms into her Esper form
  • Kefka transforms into his angelic "final boss" form
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VIII
  • Ultimecia fuses with Griever, her Guardian Force [8]
Final Fantasy IX
  • Both Zidane and Kuja transform into their Trance forms [9]

That seems to be the gist of what was revealed for definate in this latest Famitsu scan.
 
Hahahahahah, it's not until a game like this comes out that makes you realise all of the final bosses follow a horribly generic pattern: they get destroyed at their regular strength and, so, they feel the need to power up into this flashy-looking monster that still gets pwn'd, anyway. xD

I still want to play Dissidia, though.
 
This game looks like it's going to be awesome. I can't wait for an attempt to get hold of and play a copy. I'll be avidly following news on Dissidia! :freehugs:

I sometimes forget how awful of a villain Exdeath was until I reminded that he was really a tree. I am truly baffled at the notion of a giant rooted tree entering a fast paced fighting game, which only worked in FFV because battles weren’t animated.

Sephiroth never appeared with a wing in human form in the original FFVII, a common misconception. The “one wing” of Sephiroth’s boss form was purplish blue, his six other leg wings were white though.

Ex-Burst is special attack, yes. I bit like a limit break, and every character has their own unique ex-burst.

Ex-Mode or form or whatever it is known as is a sort of a power upped form, from which you can then release your ex-burst. At least thats what I think happens from what I've seen.

And yeah DarioRusso I knew about the weird feet wings Sephiroth had but could have sworn the main "one wing" was white too. Obviously not though, and its the "one wing" that became part of Sephiroths trademark look... for some reason....

Dissidia ex bursts hmmm are they all revealed yet. Are there movesets for each character or is i just like button mashing. The ex bursts are 1 hit kos right?
