Will we ever she the mother of Red XIII's cubs (Dinne) who was in a two year meditation during the events in FFVII?

Views please.
 
No no, Budenhagen said another of his species survived and her name is Dinne, the events at the end of VII 500 years after prove that he finally found her.
 
Wait, what? When did Bugenhagen say that? I can't remember it at all :| And...if she is seen again it'll probably be in another shitty spinoff, or in a novel thing.
 
I don't remember him mentioning any 'Dinne' either, altho i did always wonder where his kitties came from because all I remember is Bugenhagen saying he was the last survivor. It would be interesting to find out!
 
You are right, Nanaki's official mate is named Dinne. If you saw Before Crisis you'll see that Dinne and Nanaki are mated at a special ceremony at Cosmo Canyon. She isolated herself in a spiritual 2-year meditation, which is why she was not a part of FFVII.

Bugenhagen did not say he was the last survivor of his race...

Bugenhagen states that Red XIII thinks that he is the last survivor of his race, but Bugenhagen knows otherwise. Bugenhagen states this when they are in Cosmo Canyon during the game.

Final Fantasy VII Script said:
Bugenhagen: "Look always to the eternal flow of time which is far greater than the span of a human life. It will teach you more than staying here in the valley... What you see will eventually become a part of life's dream. For my children...... And for your children...... So please, Nanaki... Go with Cloud... And with your eyes... your ears..."

Red XIII: "............"

Bugenhagen: "Ho Ho...... Hooo. Now, now. Don't look like that. I'm all right. It's a wide world and you must go out and see it... You may even find your life's mate. You never know."

This is news to me. Two-year spiritual meditation, huh? Interesting. I'd like to see this Dinne. I did wonder how Nanaki produced children at the end of the game...

And thanks for the script, Flash. I was playing VII recently and read all that, but it never really registered to my mind that Bugenhagen hinted about Nanaki not being the last survivor of his race.
 
I think I remember someone saying the name Dinne, but this about the 2 year spiritual meditation thing is new to me.
 
Yeah, as I posted from Wiki in the Red 13 thread, you see her in Before Crisis with Red 13. It was news to me also before I read it on Wiki.
 
I'v heard of Before Crisis but i dont have it, is it for the psp or something? I wasn't even aware it was out yet.

Mind you, it would help if i HAD a psp....
 
Before Crisis is the game for mobile phones.

Crisis Core is the game coming out for PSP.
 
ah ok, how do you get the mobile one then, how is the screen even big enough to see the writing tho?!

of all the stupid things to bring a game out on, my ,mobile randomly switches itself off grrr
 
It's not available outside of Japan, yet. You have to pay a monthly fee though so it's not really worth it imo. You can read the scripture for it on the internet anyway.
 
id love to move to japan, but aside from lack of funds i dont speak a word of japanes

where can i find a scrip for it?
 
I got lucky and played Before Crisis not too long ago (thanks God for ability to read Japanese). The story is quite amazing and you do get that inside look at Dinne and so many aspects and characters of the original game that were overlooked initially or just given a smart part in general.

Hopefully they will bring this to an English version sooner or later for the rest of you to enjoy. You'll be in for a treat. It's nothing SOO GREAT, but like Dirge of Cerberus, and Crisis Core, it explains much of the things that are lost in a loop and can be easily misunderstood.
 
Damn, I can't play this game... gonna have to read the scripts...

Does anyone know if there is going to be an english version?
