Did you laugh when Cosmos burst into flame the first time? I'm sorry, Its kind of horrible and all, but I just couldn't stop laughing!

Tell me I'm not the only one!

It would have been nice if you'd put a spoiler warning on this. I'm going to add that onto the title of your thread so nobody else is spoiled.

Eek! Sorry Mandi. I thought that it was enough in the sub-title thingy. I'll know better for next time though.

Honestly, I didn't. Not to say I was abhorred that it had happened like the characters had been, but it was more like " well damn o_O" for me.

first i was kinda surprised but then i roflmao extremly!
maybe becouse i was drunk...

i thought cosmos would die the traditional death and have a scene, but no...she just explodes.

I didn't even realize she "died". I thought she was just bursting into flames because she was being summoned to another world or something. I had my friend cleared that up for me, it was a "WTF" moment.

Well, tbqh, because I done Terra's story first and she had pretty much no dialogue with Cosmos, I didn't grow to attached to her to feel that much sorrow when I saw the scene after I done her story, (of course I didn't laugh ¬.¬) But...

Thanks to Madam Internet and all her spoilers that you can come across if you're not careful, I found out about the secret scene where you see Cosmos talking to Cid, with her turning out to be alive before I even got the game

I thought it was kinda funny the first time but as i played through everyone and she kept dying i chuckled a bit... but only a little. :P

To be honest, the first time I saw it I didn't laugh. I just watched it again and it's a bit funny, because the flames come out of the ground just so forcefully.

However I don't think it's that hilarious :wacky:

I laughed at little at the spontaneous combustion scene, I also found Kefka's dialog with Zidane amusing the first time i saw it, shame its been repeat a hundred times over on youtube....but nobody knows how to emphasize SMACK! like Kefka :p

When I first played through the storyline in the JP version I really didn't think much of it. Later when I played the US version I found that I still managed to maintain that same level of care since I found her to be rather irritating.
(Instead what amused me throughout DO, SI, and DG were the VAs)

I giggled a little. I mean, it was so out of the blue. I thought Chaos was gonna slice through her or something like that. It was so spontaneous...like Parasite Eve.:lew:

How could you laugh? It's such a cruel moment! It's mean. How would you like it if you burst into flames?

s'long as i have no regrets and/or am an old man i'd happily combust for your viewing pleasure.

It wasn't so spontaneous though. :D

Chaos was the god of discord, but he was also a firey beast when you look at him. His giant form at the intro sequence was molten lava, and his dwelling is a pit of fire, ash and lava resembling hell.

I'd be dissapointed if his slaying of Cosmos was just a wallop to the face, as funny as that would be too, as he is using all his firey-death powers to eradicate her in an instant. Her death in this way seemed fitting.

That said, I was a bit surprised that Cosmos would be destroyed that easily. I'd assumed she'd stay till the end and everything would be rosey.

I had always thought doing battle with Kefka was even more 'WTF', especially before the battle begins, where he always walks in the air, then turns. Although I'm disgusted as well, I was more startled. Literally, 'WTF'?

I didn't literally laugh out loud right there and then when Cosmos burst into flames... But hey, I did find it rather amusing. I hadn't been expecting it to even happen, and it did. Just another 'WTF' moment in the game I suppose.

I laughed because the way she looked while 'burning'. She didn't look like she was in pain at all, or anything. Also, the look on everyones faces. I mean, no one really tried to help. I think they could have done a little more work on the faces, that might have made it less funny, I think.
