Help desert weapon help

Best bet is to have all your party members at level 99 and then have as many master materia as possible have a final attack materia as life or something. Try to find out what attacks work best I can't remember cause it's been a while since I played the game but try to have your limit breaks ready so you can take a good bit of health of the weapon at the start of the battle.

If I remember any good points I will edit them in later.

Worst case you could always have Cait Sith and hope that his limit break get's the end game or whatever its called to just kill the weapon.

Attack the tentacles first. then attack the core. thats how i beat him....

not alot else i can suggest, it all comes down to luck, because even after the tentacles go down it can still do 0 dmg....

You dont even know its name:srsly:
Son it sounds like you have no idea what the hell is going!
Stay the hell away from it until you get some clue it is the hardest battle on FFVII
and you need a lot of prep work to be even close fighting it.

Man to man not that shit "oh lets summon the Knights of Round" crap either!!:rage:

If you need help fighting this Weapon, this Ruby Weapon then get back to us coz its a doozy of Fight and very easy to screw up!

Rofl, KOTR doesnt even damage him unless you summon him at the right time.

I'll say this though, as far as i know theres no way to counter that sandwhirl attack or whatever it's called.

Oh yeah, the Ruby Weapon. He can be difficult.
Try to make sure all three of your characters have a lightning materia equipped and try to use Bolt 2 (or 3 if you have it) as much as possible.

Cast the Reflect spell as early on in the battle as possible, you'll want to have Reflect cast on all three of your party members to block Ruby Weapon's powerful magic spells that he always uses every time you fight him.
The Enemy Skill "L4 Suicide" is also very effective, but not completely necessary to win with, so use it if you have it.

I also suggest using Barret for this fight as his Hammerblow limit break is extremely useful against Ruby Weapon, as well as Emerald Weapon.

Also, Aeris' final limit break Great Gospel is very helpful in this battle as it allows you to be fully recovered as well as temporarily invincible, so put her in your party (unless of course you didn't successfully get her back from the City of the Ancients at the end of disc 1.)

Hope this helps!

You need Final Attack Materia and Mime both mastered, to at least stand a chance w/ Ruby.

Come back when you've mastered them both. Happy farming :D

Am i missing something here? doesn't Aeris die at the end of disc 1?

Also you can use Hades to stop the tentacles from attacking you. He will be useful for this battle do to his multiple status effects. I'll stop the tentacles from attacking you so you focus on attacking him more often. This effect only last for a period of time so make sure you have enough MP to summon him once again when the effect ends. It also deals damage continuously to the tentacles do to the bio effect.

Must be one of them New fangled types of Aeris M.II:lew:
the ones that dont die from a sword in the back.

I think dude there was referring to a game tha has Aeris init becaus eof some cheat sytem that places her back in the party...........like Gameshark or Exploder?

To hell with that, i want her back in my party! lol

i've never seen great gospel at work :(

she can continue drowning in that pool in the forgotten city after that .

(not an aerith fan)

"Just come back for this One move and then you can go back to decomposing":lew:

If cali saw us talking like this wed be screwed.

(Better say some thing on topic............)

Your best bet to avoid being hit is to equip the Mystile Armor with an evasion rate of........65% its the best defence you can get, the less they hit you the the less you have to heal.
